Small group tours in Asia from the Millennium were excellent! Easy pickup and only 8 people total really made it a standout. Really nice guide. Highly recommended.

We took 4 private tours across Greece and Turkey from our cruise. Pickups were convenient at the port and the drivers were professional and fun. Loved being able to do what we wanted. Well worth it for our family!

Had a total of 5 excursions on our recent trip. The excursion to Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace was a disaster. The pick up was late, arrived at Buckingham Palace while the activities were already in progress, actually missed most of the activity. Then transferred via coach to Westminster Abbey
The driver could not operate the air conditioning on the bus as we sat in gridlocked traffic. The driver not only didn’t know where he was going but wasn’t familiar with the equipment. In fact, most of us did not return on the coach, instead walking the short distance. Very disappointed. The other excursions were wonderful.

Iceland, hour wait in cold/rain for pick up, contact no. not recognised, so emailed. Reply was quick, time had been changed to 1 hour later, ineffective communication for those on ship with no internet, pick up points need Google pin or what3 words, chaotic change over to another coach. 2nd day no show for pick up. Another tour cancelled with inadequate notice. So disappointing. Will not use this company again but go through official cruise ship tours where pick up directly at port.

Most tours were great (London,Norway,Iceland). However 2 tours come to mind that at were not so pleasant. Buckingham Palace,London…..bus transport to within about 2 blocks of palace. Then walk the rest of the way. It has been our experience that the guide on a walking tour always carries an identifying item (flag, umbrella). Our guide had nothing. The crush of people was incredible & we were separated from our group. Ended up walking back toward our hotel & taking Hop-on/Hop-off. Another occasion in Iceland touring Akureyri, it appeared that every tour bus in the city went to every site at the same time. Another crush of people which also impacted use of restrooms. Don’t know how this could be resolved but was less than enjoyable. Otherwise all good.

Couldn't find your rep to collect pre paid tickets. no point of contact other traders didn;t know where you where wandering back and forth for half hour in rain. other local trader gave us free tickets for their bus tours. we will never recommend your company, and it was expensive too as we paid. in advance prior to cruise travel.

The experience of visiting Green Gables on Prince Edward Island was disappointing. It was described as a private group tour. Instead, we were dropped off to wander on our own. There was little to see or do, and no context. The best part was that we were able to travel in a smaller van.

I had a group of 16 and was given a person named Joy to work with to reserve excursions for the group BARR FAMILY. It went great until she left and although I asked there was never a replacement. I finished the arrangements on my own. Your excursion Triple Yukon Combo Tour on June 18 from Skagway was the worst Excursion with my family members that I ever took. The driver said from the beginning that he was not going to tell us about the area but just give us his personal stories and lots of photo ops. He did that and even took us on a road that was closed.

Outstanding guide. He was so caring and careful with our experience. Made suggestions that were logical and carefully thought out.

We booked a five port tour. All the tours were organised well with knowledgeable guides. All the guides truly made the tours, giving lots of information and answered all our questions on local life. The transport was excellent and in new condition 👏 I would highly recommend for ease of booking and deliveryof the service. I would go so far to say my expectations where exceded, which was very surprising. I would rebook with them again without any doubts.

We took three tours in Norway with Venture Ashore: Flam, Geiranger, and Bergen. The one in Flam was the worst: the bus was late, while we were waiting in a parking lot in the rain. Midway on, the bus was stopped by authorities for an inspection and wasn't allowed to continue. We waited there for approximately one hour, without anybody telling us what was going on. Finally, we left and made a stop where, at that point, there was no time to browse in the stores or have a bite, and scarcely time to use a precarious bathroom, with men and women waiting in line to share a very much not first-world bathroom. Then the tour guide told us: the bus had a leak and was not only fined, but also not allowed to use the tunnels again. While they tried to find a solution, we waited another hour, stressed, and almost panicked that we'd miss the ship. There was a family with a baby and a couple that needed to catch a train, and were desperate. Eventually, the bus took the mountain road, and we got to the ship before it departed, but the tour was ruined. And hey, they didn't refund us the money. For Geiranger, they cancelled the most complete and expensive tour we had booked, replacing it with a basic tour. At least that tour was okay, however, it was not clear at all where the meeting place was, and I had to use roaming to contact the head office in the US to ask. Finally, the Bergen tour was a hop-on-hop off bus that had no problems. Summarizing, I learned this lesson: Never again will I use a tour company other than the one from the cruise, even if it's more expensive. I don't recommend Venture Ashore.

Have used this company twice now and have saved money on cruise ship excursion prices. Rather than be with a lot of people in a coach, on both occasions we've had a private minibus, driver and guide. We've had fabulous experiences both times where the driver has gone above and beyond to show us as much as possible. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended. Excellent tours and excellent value for money especially when compared to the cruise ships prices. The meeting and greeting at some places can be a little hap hazard because so many other people are looking for their tours too, but nothing worrying, Venture are well marked out at your meeting point. We used them on a number of tours. Their Pompaii tour was really excellent and their guide was really knowledgeable absolutely fantastic.

Nahide was a great guide. She met us as arranged and was able to show us all the sites which we had hoped to see while keeping ahead of the tour buses. She also managed to get us into the Ephesus experience which was a great bonus.

Great company to deal with will definitely use again !
