My 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training…
My 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course at Vinyasa Yoga Ashram was an unforgettable experience. It went far beyond just learning yoga poses. Here's why I highly recommend them:
First of all, I would like to thank everyone, from the teachers to the cooking team. They all did an incredible job.
I would like to start with the teachers:
1. Ajay Sir: At first, I was confused about which yoga school to join in Rishikesh, as there are so many options. The moment I spoke to Ajay Sir, he gave a clear picture of the course and clarified my doubts whenever I called him. He was a big reason for me to join here. His "Sound Healing" class was so divine, and I truly went into a deeper state of peace.
2. Anupritha Ma'am:She is one of the most awesome people I have met. The day I met her with my family, everyone got attached to her, and even my mother-in-law was so impressed that she said she would take the course after me—LOL.She always has a lovely smile and is ready to help students anytime they need assistance. She took the Pranayama class for us, and I felt it was so deep that we needed more sessions.I even requested a separate week-long course for Pranayama. We also enjoyed the Shatkarma practice, which awakened our bodies.
3. Pradeep Sir:His teaching method for asana postures and alignment was excellent. He guided us clearly and precisely, always correcting us with gentle kindness. He has a deep understanding of anatomy and knows how to help each person safely deepen their practice. His anatomy lessons were very informative, using various materials and encouraging open discussions to answer our questions.
4. Sangam Sir:He led the Vinyasa Flow classes. He is very humble and a true yogi who shows kindness in all he does and says. His dedication to yoga is clear, and he has a strong, positive energy.
5. Prajna Ma'am:She guided us through various meditation techniques, and her calming presence was itself a meditation. We practiced different types of meditation, such as candle gazing, laughing meditation, and chakra opening, all led by her deep and caring voice.
6.Aravind Sir:He taught us Ashtanga and Aerial Yoga. His practice was very strict, and he ensured everyone was doing the asanas correctly. I loved the quick pace and strictness of his Ashtanga teaching.
7.Shadwalee Ma'am: Even though she taught just one day about the Ayurveda course, it was very lively. She was so knowledgeable that we learned how to make our food itself a medicine in our lives.
8.Assistant Teachers: I would like to thank Assistant Teacher Sneha. She helped throughout the Vinyasa and Ashtanga classes, was very caring, and guided everyone patiently. I loved the Restorative Yoga session, which was taken by Aravind Sir's assistant (sorry, I forgot the name), it was truly amazing. Thanks to the photography team too.
9.Lastly, I would like to give a big round of applause to the kitchen and cleaning teams. They cooked delicious sattvic food for us every day according to what is suggested for a yogic diet and our practices, which did not harm our stomach in anyways. "Big Kudos" and my humble "Namaste" to them.
10.Apart from this, there was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The opening and closing ceremonies and kirtans were so beautiful and close to the heart.
11.We also had three excursions, one was a mountain trek, and the other two were in the River Ganga. I enjoyed my meditation in the River Ganga and found my inner peace there.
12.Facilities:The yoga halls were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with props, providing a comfortable space for practice. Additionally, the accommodation provided was comfortable and conducive to rest and rejuvenation after intensive training sessions.
Finally, for those seeking to become a yoga teacher or deepen their yoga practice, Vinyasa Yoga Ashram offers transformative teachings. The combination of theoretical knowledge, practical teaching experience, and personal growth makes it a valuable experience. Vinyasa Yoga Ashram invites you to begin a path of personal growth and inner peace.

Authentic Yoga Ashram Experience
This was a life changing experience to learn and practice yoga in such a beautiful and authentic setting. The instructors and guides were amazing. Always with kindness and confidence, they led me through my trip to India and still provide guidance with online support to this day. I received constant support and spiritual guidance throughout the entire stay. Thanks and blessings to all at Vinyasa Yoga Ashram! 🙏
Precious experience! Feeling big gratitude.
Great experience! I was participating in the 200-hour yoga teacher training course in October 2023. Warm-hearted and lovely people (students, staff, teachers). All staff and teachers of Vinyasa Yoga Ashram are super friendly and helpful. The teachers have comprehensive expertise around yoga. I loved being part of the ashtanga and vinyasa yoga classes also the evening meditation class. Some days it was definitely a challenge for me but it was more than worth it! Precious experience! I really can recommend everyone to make this experience once in a lifetime. Current status: Grateful, growing, and glowing. 💚 Greetings from Germany ✨
300-TTC one of the best schools in Rishikesh
I have completed my 300-hour course in Vinyasa Yoga Ashram Rishikesh. One of the advantages of this school is the location. It is based in the Upper Topovan, away from busy and noisy market streets, just in front of the small river that comes from the beautiful mountain waterfall (waterfall is only 20 min walk up the hill). The closest grocery shop with all that you need (from food to cosmetics) is ~ 1 min walk from the school. The second thing that made this school special for me was the people - the team of highly professional and friendly teachers, who gently push you to go beyond your limits and inspire you to dive deeper into the Yoga World. Every teacher has it's own style and approach to students which made my personal 300-hour TTC journey really interesting and not boring. Vinyasa & Ashtanga teachers were great examples of what you can achieve if you keep constantly practicing, just looking at how they performed the most difficult asanas made me have the deepest respect and admiration for those guys. All the theoretical part of the TTC course was delivered in a way, that even a beginner like me could understand ( I liked the modern approach of the school, using such equipment as widescreen and speakers in some classes), all the theory was led by practical touch or demonstration, so it did not felt dry. Talking about practical things: I have a nice private room and private bathroom, the hot water supply was decent and the bed was warm and comfy enough. The food was Indian style, but not overly spicy (it was very crucial for me since I struggle with gastritis); I felt really hygienically safe eating food or drinking water at school. One more thing to mention is extremely friendly and attentive to students' needs management approach: all my special, extra requests were heard and fulfilled at the maximum that was possible to do). Of course, there is always a place for improvement, but it is nice to observe how the management of the school is eager to hear the feedback, suggestions, or complaints of students and start working on solutions straight away. Overall my impression of this Yoga school is 10/10 and I am truly happy and content that for my Yoga TTC course I have chosen this school from all the variations that Rishikesh can offer.
Loved 300hr ttc in Vinyasa…

My most loved school
It is my second time to study in ashram and I am so happy that I have returned here for 300hrs TTC. I am very grateful to admin and teachers staff who makes the studying process facilitated and rich. Big thanks to Pradeep ji who gave the group amazing classes on anatomy, ashtanga yoga, pranayama and adjusting. He has deep knowledge of yoga and even most demanding poses and classes become easy with him. Anupritha ji is my always sweetheart teacher who gave us nice classes in teaching method. Ashish ji was a perfect teacher for vinyasa flow bcs he FLOWS. I had the best possible time with Vinyasa yoga ashram and I will def return ✨🥥
Have done the YTTC 500 hours at Vinyasa Yoga Ashram was one of the best experiences of my life no doubts.
Vinyasa Yoga Ashram was my home for two months, everyone was very hospitable and friendly, I didn't feel alone at any point, the accommodation was very comfortable as well as the food is amazing and I miss it so much these days. The ashram has an excellent professionals who allowed me to reach my goal of deepening my yoga practice and being able to teach my own classes with excellence, much more than just asanas, but everything that involves the philosophy of yoga. I really recommend the school for sure and would do it all again without thinking twice.
The teachers are very good
The teachers are very good. Each class has an assistant teacher to support the main teacher so we could easily approach extra help whenever needed. all the teachers were very attentive and we got a lot of time and attention from them so we could improve. Great learning experience.
Institute is well located. The rooms are clean and spacious and the meals are simple and healthy.
Yoga🧘♀️
I started my yoga journey almost 2 yrs back and heard about yoga TTC around a year back, I wanted to do it since then. I did my research and found VYA at Rishikesh. I must say, it was one of the best descision of my life to do 200 yoga TTC at VYA. All the teachers here are so welcoming and friendly. We had so many classes in a day- Ashtanga, Pranayam, Philosophy, Vinyasa flow, anatomy, alignment and Meditation. I learnt so many things new here. Vinyasa yoga was one of them. Vinyasa yoga makes me feel free and let my body and mind just flow, and Meditation made me learn more about myself and connect deeply within my heart and soul. Overall it was a surreal experience. Got a chance to meet so many beautiful souls in my batch who made me feel home. Administrative staff, teachers, assistant teachers etc.. each and every person at VYA were so helpful and available at any point of time. Most fun part was excursion and Kirtan. I feel like I've left a small piece of my heart there and wish could have stayed longer. Didn't even realised how a month flew away. Will be coming back soon VYA!! Till then I'll keep practicing whatever learnings I have taken home from here :))
200hr TTC
Well well where to start from? Perhaps I left a piece of my heart at VYA. The teachers not only welcome you in the class but also encourage you in personal life’s. One thing about them is they are available at any given time and always ready to help you. I personally came across few instances where my friends needed urgent help and medication and all the crew rushed to help us at all times. It may seem like it’s too much to handle from morning till evening and it may seem boring but all the lectures were really really interesting and informative about our own self’s and our bodies, hardly anyone would get bored or not wanting to attend the classes. As well as they would add some fun factors in class. Another thing about the lectures that I loved were each teacher would start and end the class with some prayer here they taught us how to be grateful for all the knowledge that’s coming towards us. Every teacher gave us a different perspective to look at our selves and how to get better. We all came alone to the course and we all left with a huge family who will always stay by our side. Rishikesh always blesses you with the best people in life and that’s what exactly happened. So grateful to have been here and learn from the masters of VYA.
Thank you to all:)
Moving here!!!
With only a few months of yoga experience (I had never heard of Ashtanga or Hatha - so, yeah…that kind of few) I decided to travel all the way to Rishikesh to follow the 200 hours course. Not with the intention to become a teacher, but just to learn more. And I absolutely did.
All the angsty cliches were there: Will I be physically able to do it? Will I fit in? Will I even like it? Yada yada yada….And - big shocker! - the answers were ‘yes’.
Everybody was so kind and welcoming. They all knew my name and chatted with me in the common areas. I felt very at home. I made friends here that I absolutely want to stay in contact with. I miss them already.
And, no, I couldn’t do a headstand on the first day there, but you don’t even have to. You start from the very beginning, gradually working towards the more advanced asanas (I’m looking at you, crow pose). I felt my body getting stronger every day and by the time we attempted these postures, we all were surprised by our own abilities.
The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and diverse in their style of teaching. Yet every class was a nice balance of serious, formal lecturing while maintaining a lighthearted atmosphere. Classes did not feel like an obligation, you want to attend and learn from them.
If I could’ve stayed for the 300 hours course, I would’ve done it in a heartbeat. But I couldn’t, which means I have a great excuse to come back next year and visit Rishikesh and Vinyasa Yoga Ashram again. <3 And I honestly can’t wait. In the meantime I will continue to delve into the yogic discipline with as much zeal as I’ve felt this last month.
PS. I’m good at volleyball. (Pradeep made me say it)
Vinyasa Yoga Ashram holds a place equal to my second forever home ❣️🙏🏻 special…
Vinyasa Yoga Ashram holds a special place in my heart. My journey here was truly transformative. The teachers’ depth of knowledge and expertise created an enriching learning experience. They guided me on a journey of self-discovery, helping me unlock new levels of growth in my practice. The supportive and nurturing environment fostered personal development and allowed me to upgrade myself in ways I never thought possible.

True & Holistic Yog experience
In order to deal better with being a Type 1 Diabetic for 20+ years and to connect with my cultural roots, I started my Yog journey with Vinyasa 200 TTC in June’23. Couldn’t have opted for a better medium, since my teachers at Vinyasa understood my limitations as a beginner and helped me at every step. Their core knowledge of Yog and all the philosophical and scientific aspects around it make this a far better training then a usual Yog studio in the cities.
My Asana teachers Pradeep Ji, Ashish Ji and Arvind Ji helped me understand that even though I was struggling with most Asanas, this struggle was as helpful for me as someone doing the complete postures. The Asst. Teachers were always there during classes to help correct/modify my postures as a beginner.
Through Pranayam classes with Anupritha Ji, I understood the power of Pranayam and could feel it within my daily life. Anatomy lectures helped me connect the Yogasanas with the science behind those.
Further, the Philosophy lectures with Bhagyashree Ji left a sincere impact on me, and I enjoyed the open discussions during these classes.
I found my fellow students to be from a health mix of different cultures, and it was a positive learning environment with people helping each other out.
The food in the mess was always freshly prepared, so no complaints.
Overall, I am quite happy I decided to take this journey. Yog is now part of my lifestyle, and for the first time in the last 20 years, I feel like my body & mind have the power to not let Diabetes take over my life. This is a Teacher Training course, so ideally you should have practiced Yog earlier and you should expect it to be intense, but the Vinyasa team made sure a beginner like me could get the best out of this experience.
Journey of 200 hrs YTTC by Vinyasa Yoga…
Journey of 200 hrs YTTC by Vinyasa Yoga Ashram was amazing for me...
Starting with the
*Pranayama Class* - Anuprita ma'am was best but only i think that In between when she was ill some more qualified and experienced teacher should have replaced her..
*Vinyasa flow Class* - I think there could be no one better than Ashish Sir to teach vinyasa flow...
*Yoga Philosophy Class* - (Bhagyeshri Ma'am) I felt blessed to learn from Such kind of teacher who is practicing it herself... I even wanted to learn more but the course was short...
*Alignment* - Pradeep sir was damn good and also alignment is little complicated he tried to simplify it...
According to me if they combine Asthtanga and alignment class and then teach alignment from Asana to Asana while practically doing them correctly from first day it would be better...
It is always better said than done but this is just my suggestion...
*Anatomy Class* - I think Anatomy Classes would have been more better (in sense detailed with more practical use) and systematic...
Anuprita ma'am was good but then in between she got I'll and they should have replaced more qualified and experienced teacher for it again...
*Ashtanga Class* - It was best for me as I had done it earlier but then for beginners it was too fast initially many were doing wrong and no one corrected them...
Arvind sir was good as he is a self practisioner but he should have added more alignment to it..
*Meditation Class* - Prajna ma'am was best...
*Food* - it was good they could improve a little bit in taste but all over it was good...
All the excursions were fun and the meditation we did together in kunjapuri was. I have no words for it 🤌...
The silence day was were much healing for me and the keertan evening we all just became bhakti yogis for an hour.
The tests and assignments made us more capable...
All the staff members and teachers were very kind and loving...
Over All Experience of YTTC 200 with Vinyasa yoga ashram was amazing ✨ my batchmates made it never forgettable memory 🌈
Yours sincerely,
Arth Bhandari
Vinyasa Yoga Ashram
Vinyasa Yoga Ashram, yoga school placed in Tapovan Rishikesh. I had gone there for 200 hrs RYT and it was bestest decision.
The school has perfect environment to learn ashtanga-vinyasa. For beginners its the best as it has such good teachers who will make the concepts simpler to understand. The food and management is also amazing. You get the bestest yogic experience in the school. One of the most liked classes of mine was meditation and alignment. It was surreal.
I had lots of double thoughts about the course as well as place but the moment I reached and course started I realised it was the bestest decision. I could see myself grow spiritually every day. As the days started passing I could see myself evolve in a way I never imagined. I was totally a different person spiritually on the graduation day. Overall it was amazing experience to be there and learn.
I would strongly recommend this place to someone who wants to learn yoga be it beginner or someone who already knows things about yoga. If you want to learn something this is the place you should choose.
Great Experience!
I did my 200hr 'Yoga Teacher Training' from Vinyasa Yoga Ashram. It is a COMPLETE yoga training programme, which allows one to not just have an in-depth knowledge and better understanding of yoga, but also improve his/her teaching skills.
Apart from classes on asanas (postures), breathing techniques and meditation, there were anatomy, alignment, kriyas (cleansing techniques) as well as philosophy classes. There were also one Aerial yoga class, and one sound-healing session. The teachers are very knowledgeable and supportive. All the topics are discussed in detail and the atmosphere in the classroom, which includes both Indian and foreign students, is just amazing. The stay is good and the satvik food is tasty.
I learned a lot and benefited from this course, and I aim to come back for the 300hr training programme :)
It was a great experience
It was a great experience. I had learned soo many things there and everyone was soo kind towards us.
Teachers there are amazing n have lots of knowledge in their respective subjects.
Thank u soo much 🙏
