Manchester flight to New York a throwback to a golden era. Superb cabin crew worked relentlessly to keep every passenger happy. Ashleigh and Emma eulogised about their years working for the company. So different from the tired BA staff for whom every task seems such a big effort. Only one way to cross the big pond…..Virgin Atlantic!

Virgin Atlantic Credit card is an exercise in futility! You need to spend almost £1 Million to gain enough points for return upper class ticket!
In addition the 75,000 point bonus voucher awarded for spending 20K is not worth the voucher it’s printed on as there are zero upgrades available on my chosen route for the best part of 12 months . Very disappointing program that is of no utility! Stay away .

I am unable to preorder meals using the Virgin Atlantic site. I flew upper class from SFO to Heathrow and back. App claims technical error every time. Calling to order requires at least an hour wait. This is unacceptable for a $3k flight. I have a dairy allergy so 10 hour flight with no food without preorder. There is no way to get tech support. So every flight will require call to customer service. Onboard staff is lovely but I’m unlikely to book again.

Ministry of Civil Aviation officially responded.
MakeMyTrip gave 48hr commitment — not honoured.
Virgin Atlantic still completely silent.

Pattern continues — empty promises, zero action.

We spent months getting paper work filled in and signed by the nhs and fit to fly test, only to be told the company they work with oxygen to go don't hire out batteries for our portable oxygen concerntrator we had to lasting 12hours but that was not enough,so finally we said that's it no more stress and gave up, what's the point of a oxygen company that does not hire out batteries, we lost our flight and our money.

If you are a person of colour or have a name that may trigger unnecessary alerts then avoid this airline at all costs. They have lost their touch. They have no respect for the people. Won't be spending money with them anymore. Off to try other carriers. They are becoming like the rest of the large businesses in the UK, after crossing a certain level it’s not about providing a service or professionalism. I got a first-hand view of this. Just before boarding the plane I was racially profiled and humiliated by one of them. They seem to have a lot of power. Snatched half of my boarding pass, I can assume to show me they are powerful. All because I said “so rude”. The UK is going backwards. I get it we have a weak economy. When did we also start to give up on it?

Also, my 6-year-old was stuck on a plane with no working infotainment system. Not an apology! Thanks Virgin.

I am flying Econ classic. Check in 24 hours before my flight, charge money for choosing seat. If you don’t wanna pay, you have no choice, you can’t sit by windows or choose any seats for free you want. Each seat charge £49.
Also, remember to add the number of your baggage, if you don’t do so, they might charge you money as well.

I guess VS is a low cost carrier.

I have flown multiple times with VA over the last 15 years , the flights have always been good the lounge at Heathrow is brilliant, so why a 1 star, Well its the customer service, tried via their chat thing, became evident very quickly I was dealing with an off shore contact centre. Every response I was given to a customer service issue felt pre written, legally dismissive and truly disingenuous. Having wasted my time trying to explain to the agents, with one ending the conversation whilst I was typing my response siting no response. I was directed to the Make an official Complaint via the website, all for something that should have been dealt with by customer services.

Firstly, I did arrive safely to my destination. I am grateful for that.
But Virgin Atlantic has really gone down hill! I was in First Class. ($$$). The seats were worn. Many of the First Class movie screens didn’t work. Some of the items in my main meal were still frozen. And no attendant picked up my meal ware. I had to pile the plates, glasses, and utensils together and carry to the front where all the flight attendants were standing and chatting. Lastly, because our plane left 80 min late our connections were in jeopardy. One attendant informed me that the terminal was aware so an attendant would be just outside the plane to guide us. Unfortunately, there was no attendant, our connection actually left 5 minutes EARLY, and we needed to search for assistance to rebook the final leg of our journey. This latter problem may also been in part the fault of Delta.

The VA staff at England's Manchester airport were exceptional. I lost my Passport and for almost 6 hours they took charge of my bag, gave me access to their personal Wi-Fi, allowed me to use their own phone power packs and chargers. They aided me with information gathering regarding transportation to the US Embassy and where to stay. I was with either Noel Dias, Jamil, or Nastash ,as they held my hand the entire time. Once my Passport was found, VA rebooked me with no additional expense whatsoever! The kindness of strangers...they took great care of me a 70 year old, American grandmother. Forever grateful!

Just awful service. Tried to arrange a bottle of bubbly for my son on his honeymoon flight and was told rudely to find another way as Virgin won’t do this very unhelpful.

Had a great flight experienced out of Manchester to Orlando on 30th April flight 0074. However, return flight from Orlando to Manchester on 14th May flight 0073 was definitely not so great. Air Stewards in economy were extremely rude & dismissive of partners requests for oat milk & when asking if the seats in front could be pushed forward as they were squashing us.

Super bad all the staff, cheated and low quality with higher price plane tickets, just lied always, I would never recommend anybody to buy this Super froud airlines, and really abused me the staff old lady. While traveling india. February 4th 2026. Also i.came back its all the same .nobody help me. Please don't choose this stupid airlines virgin Atlantic 😒.

If only I had read Trustpilot before booking a flight to Grenada recently! We booked our outbound flight with reserved seats. Tried unsuccessfully several times to reserve return seats, being told they would be allocated at return check in. In Virgin literature it clearly states Upper Class seats can be selected anytime! Very worrying after paying £12,800 for tickets. Outbound check in and lounge good. Spent 2 hours on the tarmac until the air-con was repaired, so arrived too late for dinner with our friends. Return flight, checked in online but unable to select seats. At the airport check in, my wife was allocated a seat then there seemed to be a problem and after a few minutes my seat was allocated but not near my wife, facing straight into the galley. After complaining my wife was moved in Barbados from a better seat next to mine by the galley. Food was like it had just been defrosted and had one glass of wine and they said they had run out of the same. after writing to Virgin we were offered 10000 points ! about one and half per cent ie £200, of the £12800 paid, then a week or so later they added another 8000 and later another 2000. Totaling 20000 That was their final offer . Not happy as points are useless to us. Wish we had never tried Virgin and it appears most of the reviews have a similar view

I've flown on Virgin Atlantic quite a bit at this point and I really enjoy flying with them. They hit the spot and exceed my expectations. The staff are friendly, very professional and look they enjoy what they do, on-board service is excellent and meals are amazing. I can't fault them on how brilliant they are.

Poor customer service, we where seated apart, they did not event attempt to put us together, totally ignored and left too it. Flight is full nothing we can do.

Will not be booking with them again.

I have been flying Virgin Atlantic for 11 years with no issue.Yesterday would be my last day to fly the airline the pilots were unprofessional.People were screaming in fear during takeoff in a flight that was going to London from Nigeria.Also when we landed the plane stepped on a big bump that made passengers uncomfortable.My experience with Virgin Atlantic yesterday was horrible.The captain and the pilot shouldn’t be flying international and they should give them more training.

Awful food and service. Seat broken and dirty.Dirty tissue in compartment.
Never again as felt unsafe and wasted money on premium.
Whole of wing showed numerous grey paint patches where it looked like repairs had been done.

3 flights with VA.
Basically an A to B transport with some of the most disgusting food.
Branson should be forced to endure the rubbish service.
Booked as part of packages…….will resist in future.
