I run a small hobby website where I share photos and stories about my remote sailing boats. Nothing fancy, just a passion project I have built over the years. Web Host Pro has been a wonderful home for it. The site loads quickly, and I have never had to worry about it being offline when fellow hobbyists stop by.

Extremely Unreliable Service and No Support – Cost Me Thousands

I had one of the worst experiences with WebHostPro. I prepaid for hosting services through 2026, but my website went down multiple times. The most recent outage lasted six full days (errors 500 and 503). During that time, I opened 6–7 support tickets, but I never received a single response.

Out of desperation, I upgraded my hosting and paid an additional $177, yet my site was still completely down. WebHostPro never provided the upgraded service, nor did they offer support. The only time they responded quickly was after I filed a PayPal dispute for the $177 charge—at which point they immediately suspended my entire account.

This is extremely unprofessional and, in my opinion, shows a failure to provide contracted services. I lost well over $5,000 in business revenue due to their downtime, not including the prepaid hosting fees that were wasted. Instead of honoring their obligations and issuing a refund for the unused balance through 2026, they simply cut off my account.

I have since moved my website to another provider (GoDaddy) where I finally have reliable service and real support.

If you are considering WebHostPro, I strongly advise against it. In my experience, they provide unreliable hosting, no support when you need it most, and retaliatory account suspension if you dispute charges.

This is not a trustworthy company, and I would never recommend them to any business that values uptime, customer service, or fair treatment.

Good cPanel hosting

As a new customer, I couldn't be more pleased with my experience using Web Host Pro's cPanel hosting. From the moment I signed up, the process was smooth and beginner-friendly. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, and cPanel gives me al the tools I need to manage my site easily — even as someone without a tech background.
What really stood out was the customer support. I had a couple of newbie questions about setting up email and installing WordPress, and their team responded quickly with clear, helpful answers. It's refreshing to deal with a company that treats you like a person, not just a ticket number.
Uptime and speed have been excellent so far. My site loads quickly, and i haven't noticed any downtime since launching. I also appreciate that they offer scalable options if need to grow in the future.
Highly recommend Web Host Pro for anyone looking for reliable and easy-to-use cPanel hosting. Great value and great support!

Web Host Pro .com took my money for a domain name. Then, Web Host Pro transferred my domain name to someone else without my permission.

Web Host Pro .com took my money for a second domain name. However, Web Host Pro has not registered my domain name with ICAAN.

Great customer support

Been a customer for a decade or so when WebHost Pro made some changes the impacted my account. I contacted support and worked it out with them. They were very supportive and had good communications. Their hosting service has been extremely solid as well.

Had several sites & domains hosted…

Had several sites & domains hosted there for 5+ years then last week suddenly all sites were down. No warning, no notice.

Only explanation given was my 'site' had MSQL overload and I needed to either remake it from scratch or move to another partner service.

When I asked for details on how why this happened the only explanation was 'your site had a MYSQL overload'.

Since all 3 of my sites/domains were down (not just the 'problem' site) I asked about a refund. When I woke up (less than 24 hrs) my money had been refunded and all my access had been removed.

Only after all three of my sites were disabled, all my access terminated, money refunded did the agent say 'sorry about that, have a GREAT week'.

It will take hours, days to recover all my data from backup and restore to another service.

Sorry, overloading is against our TOS. It takes an extreme amount to overload and we have options to fix the website. It's a tough situation though that we do our best to help everyone prevent.

Site taken off-line with no warning.

I purchased my hosting and domain on the same day (over a year ago now) so I could chronicle the death of my husband and potentially help others in a similar position. I did not use email. I barely used my website except to update every now and then on where I was on my journey.

FAST FORWARD - I get an email that my domain is up for renewal. Considering how little I actually used it, I decided to cancel. Only to log-in and find out that my website had already been taken OFF-LINE due to "non-payment". Huh? I purchased a year hosting the same time I purchased the domain name so it escapes me how one expired before the other. Not only that, but I received NO COMMUNICATION from WebHostPro themselves letting me know that my hosting had been disabled.

Either way, I won't be going back to this company and I suggest anyone potentially thinking of using them to not just take my word for it, but to thoroughly do their own research.

EDITED: As I got a response from this "company" claiming that I would have gotten "notification from them". Fun fact? According to their website my HOSTING is supposed to expire 05/22/2020 - so it wasn't even DUE yet, MUCH LESS past due, and yet it was taken off-line at the end of April? Also I use gmail - and the ONLY communication I have gotten from them is to renew my domain.

EDITED AGAIN as this company likes to argue. If you had bothered to read my original complaint I cancelled the account when I logged in and found it had ALREADY BEEN TAKEN OFFLINE. Your company had taken my website offline at the end of April. WELL BEFORE IT WAS SET TO EXPIRE.

THAT is why I cancelled it early instead of just letting it expire. What is the point in having a website when it can’t be accessed by anyone?

This tells me all I need to know about this company. They don't even know what's going on. So glad I cancelled.

Why would you write such a bad review when you cancelled the account?

I'm sorry for the bad feelings. I know what it's like to have a company take advance of me and it's a horrible feeling. We would never do anything anything like this though. I know everyone that works here personally and they are good people that care very much about all of our customers., no matter how much you are paying. You kind of have to ask, why would we stop your account early? We simply would not unless you told us to. There would be no reason, and our system would not allow it without manually overriding it.

We always work hard to build personal great relationships with our customers.

For hosting we send out emails to the email on file weeks before due dates, a couple days before, on the due date, days after, and a week after. At two weeks after we suspend the account for non payment. We will even extend due dates if people just ask. Our goal way beyond making money from one customer is to form a long relationship. After 20 days if we do not get any communication or payment, we will remove the account. We have an easy back up system if you think you might not be around for the due date. this is allows you to keep a full copy on your computer or say an online file storage service that you can restore anytime. Many host block the back up system in cPanel to prevent customers from using the back up on another host. We would never do this.

With domains, we send an email 2 months before the due, 1 month before, weeks before, days before, on the due date, days after, a week after, and two weeks after. In some cases you can still renew a domain a month after it's due. This is up to Icann, they will decide to change the domain into a redemption status, which costs a lot of money to restore. We have no control over this, so we do highly recommend paying your bill before it's due or on time to make sure your domain name is safe. We do only charge the same fee they charge us to restore a domain in redemption when most domain services try to make money from this bad situation.

We can't say why you didn't get the emails about your hosting or domain. We suggest using Gmail if you have to use a free email. They have the most reliable receiving rates. Microsoft email like Hotmail, Live, and Outlook, have the worst receiving rates.

We also sometimes have older backups, so if your account is stopped from being past due, we can check our older backups to see if we get lucky. But again, we highly suggest paying your bill before or when it's due to make sure your website and domain is 100% safe. Or contact us if you are not able to pay your bill. We can overwrite the system to give you more time.

I somewhat take it for granted that Webhost provides excellent, fast and resilient hosting. What really matters for me is that I get high quality, speedy support when I need it, and the company does not let me down. I would recommend them to all individuals and businesses - large and small.

These guys are the best! Helped me move from a crappy hosting service to a wonderful VPS solution and all at a better price. Support is available in ticket or chat and they are always willing to help when I need it.

Updated Again: Use Web Host Pro at your own risk

WOW!

Since Web Host Pro did me a great deal of harm, I only wanted to
correct my original positive review to set the record straight and move on.

Just to be sure that I hadn't missed something, I examined my copy of the transactions on the trouble ticket that I originally opened 04/01/19 when Web Host Pro SUSPENDED my account and then re-opened on 04/11/19 when they DELETED my account. The word spam doesn't appear anywhere. The Web Host Pro responses below are a mystery to me.

I feel that as a customer, Web Host Pro treated me in a very
unprofessional manner. In my opinion, their responses on this forum have been equally unprofessional. I won't respond in kind.

Hello,

I originally wrote a 5 star review of Web Host Pro. I take it all back.

After a week or so of excellent support setting up my site and my
environment, I moved on with my life while my site did what it was
supposed to do. Almost all of my use is as an ordinary email server. I don't spam anyone, but I am absolutely dependent upon receiving all of my email.

About 2 months into my service, my email stopped. I didn't give it a lot of thought since bad things happen and I didn't want to bother Web Host Pro while they were fixing their problem. But when I still had no email the next day, I contacted them. What I was told was that there was a security breach on their server and they suspected me. They proceeded to quiz me about everything that I was doing. I was not happy about not being contacted when they SUSPENDED my account, and then being treated me as if I was guilty until proven innocent. But, finally, they re-enabled my account.

And here is where I made my error. I naively justified that Web Host Pro treated me badly because they were stressed by some unnamed security breach. Knowing that I was not the cause, I just returned to my daily business.

A few days later, my email was gone again. This time I didn't wait and I contacted Web Host Pro as soon as I became aware. I was told that I had compromised their server again and that they DELETED my account. They still refused to tell me how their system was compromised, but assured me that my account did it.

I scrambled to get another email host up and running so as not to lose to much incoming email. Then I went back to Web Host Pro to get a copy of my email data store. WHAT THEY GAVE ME WAS 2.5 WEEKS OLD!

Web Host Pro said things like I had too much stored email and that I shouldn't have ssh access when they were blaming me. I offered
repeatedly to help them identify the problem, but Web Host Pro refused to even share what the breach was. And then they left me in the lurch by not even having a reasonable backup. I conclude that these folks are not qualified to run a shared hosting business and certainly don't know how to treat their customers.

Sorry, we do not allow customers to send SPAM. In fact it is illegal. We abide by all laws. Even if SPAM was not illegal, we would not allow you to send unsolicited bulk emails from our web hosting service. It's unethical and just rude to do. This is the problem with review site like Trustpilot, people can bash a company because they won't let them break the law. Not very fair.

Why else would we stop your site? Do you think we don't want customers? We have been doing this since 2001 and every couple years we deal with a person like you that tries their best to hurt us on this site because they are mad we won't let them break the law. But guess what? We are still hear and better than ever. And this might actually detour more spammers like you, making our job easier.

We have proof you broke the law, we have your emails with insults to us, if you have any integrity you would remove your lies and try to start a business that's legal. Good luck and hopefully someday you will try to be a more ethical business person. There is a million ways to make money without breaking the law. If you just put half the criminal effort the you put into trying to scam people into starting a real business, and you would probably be successful.

I have been with this host for over a…

I have been with this host for over a year. In this time I have had several problems.
1. Slow Domain Transfers
2. Information not properly registed with ICAAN, this caused my clients site to go down for a few days.
3.Webhostpro upgraded software and hardware multiple times without warning this affected CPanel and my php version installation. This screw up took down all my PHP sites about 6 in total.
4.Email was blocked by many ISP's as it was on the bad list. I asked for the organization to take my IP off the list as Webhost.pro gave me the IP address. Then after it didn't get resolved I went to webhost.pro and they said I will have to use Gsuite and not a free email server. ya right
5.The Icing on the cake was in July 2018 I got an email from Webhost.pro stating that they lost my files and backups.

I am still rebuilding the 10 live websites I had online.

Don't even think about going with Webhost.pro.

You'll surely regret it!

In the last billing cycle. Webhost.pro charged me twice for hosting and im having problems getting my money back im out 120 usd.

The servers are very quick, which is great as customers won’t be turned away by slow loading times. A fast website also is great for SEO and Google ranking. While building a website can seem intimidating, webhost.pro helps you relax with a user-friendly interface and round the clock support. Definitely give it a try!

Emails stating they want money. No one answers the phone. Charles was very helpful several years ago. Guess he quit, so did we a year ago. Do not want the frustration.

nobody ever answers the phone

nobody ever answers the phone, ever... people have contacted me via the phone number that i have only ever given to webhost.pro with insane messages such as i am being audited by the IRS for fraudulent tax information i submitted, which is ridiculous being as i did not file tax returns this year yet, and i am under criminal investigation, which is also ridiculous, since i have not so much as received a traffic violation for many years. just today, someone contacted me about helping me to create a website on my domain. when i informed him i was already doing so, he hung up on me. the customer service is not just bad, it is non-existent. tickets submitted are not responded to in a reasonable amount of time either. if you need help immediately, it will absolutely not be there. this is the worst experience i have ever had with a web host.
