What a fantastic experience I had at Wed 4 less at the Rotherham branch. Was very apprehensive about going been an older lady in her early 60 s and having looked on line but reluctant to buy on line as sizes so different I found Wed 4 less at Rotherham , about an hours drive from where I live . My time window was limited as my wedding is April so needed to buy off the peg . Me and my sister in law to be had been to Meadowhall in the morning and found nothing what so ever in way of bridal shops, so we headed to Wed 4 less to take a look . Appealed to me as no appointment needed which preferred and less pressure to buy I felt if nothing suitable and can buy off peg and take home same day .
We walked in and was a very busy Saturday afternoon and was told up to an hours wait. Considered not waiting but so pleased we did.
We had chosen the four dresses we thought might be suitable as they only like you to take four in as a starter. We was given the love Angie to help me try on , Angie was absolutely amazing and put me at ease straight away. We found a lovely dress and what was now 5.40 and the store closed at 5 pm never felt like was a burden to them for keeping well after their home time . All Angie wanted was her bride to feel amazing and walk away with the dress of her dreams.
So dress bought we came away and went for a celebratory drink.
Over that weekend I was looking at head combs for my hair on their website and found another dress I had not seen that day. Could not stop thinking that might have been more me. So a week later I returned on the Monday morning, a much quieter day at the store and tried the dress on I had seen. Was perfect and felt was more me . The manager think was Holly had no issues swapping the dress as price the same and not an issue at all . Did feel bad returning but absolutely no trouble at all and their focus was ensuring their customers were happy.
Was pleased to see the lovely Angie was also in that Monday so helped me again and ensured was happy. Also bought a head combs. Felt like Angie was a friend by the time I left on both occasions and what a fantastic person and staff member, but all the other ladies I interacted with equally as kind and caring.
Would definitely recommend Wed 4 less Rotherham and cannot praise them enough .
Looking forward to my special day in my gorgeous dress .

Angie was amazing! Very accommodating to our 15 year old who decided last minute she wanted to go to prom! We were there after school and ended up running slightly over but we didn’t feel rushed at all! Thanks so much angie you were amazing

We attended the Stockport store on Sunday. The consultant dealing with us was Beks. She was a lovely young girl and couldn’t fault her and is a credit to the store.
What let it down was the amount of dresses that fitted and felt we didn’t try enough styles to work out what we really wanted.

Hi. My wife and I took my granddaughter here today to get her a prom dress. The young blonde girl who served us was very pleasant and helpful. I must admit the dress we brought wasn't cheap but when you looked at the quality you definitely get what you pay for. So. I would definitely recommend this shop.. last but not least. My grandfather looked a million dollars. 😁

Popped in very anxious but these girls was very help full and understanding of me being anxious but I went in wanting a completely different style and colour and came out with a beautiful dress even better than my thoughts when I went in hollie was amazing help she made me feel so comfortable very polite thank you to her for helping me pick my prom dress

My best friend, the bride to be and myself attended the West Brom branch looking for my bridesmaid dress a few weeks ago. Great selection and service, the store manager Dawn looked after us. She gave impartial honest helpful advice! We said yes to the dress and we cannot wait for the call to say its ready to collect!!

I needed a modest white dress for a occassion not a wedding I went in explained what I was looking for explained it had to be white full cover and sleeves angie selected some dresses that was modest and could be in round kneck but was sleeveless I tried a cap sleeved corset back dress on angie explained that the cap sleeve could be made into a tiered sleeve dress all staff was very helpful Angie helped me choose the dress looked good so ordering the dress would recommend

What an amazing experience we had at the West Brom branch.. Adele is a credit to this place.. made our daughter feel at ease and didn’t feel rushed at all .. if I’m being honest all the girls working here are so nice .. even the manager makes you feel welcome ..

From the start to finish Angie was such a wonderful, helpful lady. My daughter was nervous about looking for her prom dress but Angie put her at ease straight away and helped with choices and trying them on. She is a star!

Went today to look for a wedding dress we get married in 6 months the service from Start to finish was incredible I was really impressed on arrival we had a friendly welcome from Renee who explained how the service works what's off the peg what needs ordering etc then we went and picked out some dresses to try on I SAID YES to the dress Renee was amazing and advised to try a mixture I'm so glad I took her advise as I ended up falling in love with a dress I thought wouldn't be for me I can't wait to go and collect the dress and try it on again before the big day

I went into the shop yesterday with my mum with the intentions of looking around to see if they had the dress I was interested in (mermaid style) and I was seen to by Beckie who I explained to that I was getting married in June this year to which isn’t long away. She advised me that with the time I had not being long it was best to pick an off the peg dress as it is usually takes up to 20weeks for anything otherwise to be sorted, being as she said that I was given four tags to walk around and chose the dresses I liked the look of, having done this I had the opportunity to try them all on.
Of all the four there was one absolutely beautiful dress that I tried on that was sleeveless and mermaid style like I wanted that fitted me perfectly, and I to my surprise I managed to say yes to that dress and went home a happy lady not expecting to be coming out with a dress having only planned to look, though in my mind I knew I needed to get something given the little time i had left.
Beckie dealt with me the whole time I was in the shop and was really helpful, furthermore I would definitely recommend this store as they have stunning bridal dresses, bridesmaids and mothers dresses.

Me and my daughter visited the West Bromwich store today. We were greeted by Dawn and Hollie who made us feel welcome. I had an amazing and comfortable experience. Super helpful and approachable, they could not do enough for me. I was stressing about a wedding dress and they have made my day and I said yes to the dress. Thank you so much both of you for helping me choose my ideal dress !

Becky, you are such a wonderful human who made the special experience of trying on dresses absolutely amazing, stress-free, and truly memorable. From start to finish, you showed incredible knowledge when it comes to wedding dress shopping. The store itself absolutely deserves 5 stars!

Unfortunately, after leaving the shop this is where things took a turn with Wed4Less head office customer service. I have never dealt with such rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful customer service in my life. They insisted that my original dress collection date had been given incorrectly and claimed it was actually 6 weeks later than agreed. This led to a series of frustrating emails, including one that was clearly meant for the store being sent to me, instructing them NOT to communicate with me! How bloody mad is that?

I ended up calling the store in distress, as the new collection date was just 4 days before my wedding. Once again, the amazing team in-store stepped in and resolved everything for me.

Fast forward to today, I collected my dress and had another beautiful experience. Hollie and Dawn made the collection process so special and memorable.

To be clear: the West Brom store is 100% worth 5 stars. The team there are incredible. Sadly, the head office customer service doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

Last July 2025, I visited the West Brom store with my family to choose my wedding dress. I tried on three dresses and decided to order the third. I was fitted in a size 18 and mentioned that I planned to lose weight, but I trusted the staff’s advice and went ahead with the order.
Almost immediately after leaving, I looked back at photos from the appointment and realised the dress looked far too big, especially around the corset back. I returned the following week to try a size 16, which fit much better. When I asked to change my order, I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable, it felt like staff were talking about me rather than helping. But I was assured that a size 16 would be ordered instead of the 18.
Things only got worse from there. When my dress arrived earlier this year, the wrong size had effectively been ordered for my needs. By that point, I had lost weight and the dress was far too big to alter. Despite this, I was told nothing could be done, as they insisted the “correct” size had been ordered, even though my receipt clearly showed size 18.
When I finally received the dress, it was indeed a size 18 and completely unsuitable. I was very upset, but my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously at all.
Trying to resolve the issue was a nightmare. I contacted the store to arrange an exchange and was told I couldn’t come in on a weekend, meaning I had to leave work early just to attend. When I arrived, they weren’t expecting me and initially showed no interest in helping. Then suddenly I was told a size 14 had been “prepared” for me, which was clearly untrue, as I hadn’t informed them that I’d be coming in that day.
Eventually, they exchanged the dress for a size 14, but it didn’t appear to be new. At that point, I felt pressured into accepting it just to move things along.
If the correct size (16) had been ordered then I would have been able to have it taken in by up to 2 sizes and none of this would have happened.
During this visit, the unprofessionalism reached another level. While I was trying on the replacement dress, a member of staff asked if I knew someone named Lindsey who had left a negative review, claiming head office had told her to ask me. This was completely inappropriate and had nothing to do with my situation.
To make matters worse, my bridesmaid dresses arrived in a completely different, much darker shade than what I had originally ordered. I had already bought matching sashes, which now no longer match. I was told this was due to a “different batch number,” which is frankly unacceptable and felt like a dismissive excuse rather than a solution.
I’ve since been told another sash won’t arrive until June, something that was never communicated at the time of ordering. Head office has been equally unhelpful throughout, offering no real resolution, which has now forced me to request a refund for both sashes.
I have spent over £1500 here and deeply regret not going elsewhere.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that others carefully consider their options before making a purchase.
*update - I have now received an email from customer services with an apology offering me 2 new sashes that will be the correct colour and will be ready within the next 3 weeks. They have also said I can keep the original sashes for anything I may wish to use them for.
I have also recieved an email from the store stating that I have 2 days to take this review down or they will consider taking further action and seek legal advice.

We visited the outlet on Sunday and wow what an amazing experience. Load of dresses to try on and michela was so helpful and honestly made it so special. Thank you michela you are a star ⭐️

I went into the shop thinking I was just going in to look without trying on. I couldn’t believe how helpful the staff were, especially Ashley who had the patience of a saint with me as I had zero idea of what I wanted. I didn’t feel rushed at all even after trying on about 8 dresses, nor pressured into buying anything . Ashley went above and beyond to accommodate me and I ended up with the perfect dress for me . I can highly recommend this establishment in Newcastle.

Carol made the process so easy for me. Explained everything and showed me the section in my size. I was left to browze at leisure. I was helped into all my choices. Very knowlegable and advice given about alterations and accessories with guidance on what works best. Highly recommend. Wide selection of dresses. I came away with something completely different to my inspo pictures. Felt fabulous in the dress ive chosen. Its true what people say, you know when youve found the one. So pleased to find my dress on my first shopping trip.
