Poorly Managed International Move from France to Switzerland
I hired this company for a household relocation from France to Switzerland. The quote explicitly included export packing and protection for delicate items. Unfortunately, the service delivered was far from what was promised.
On moving day, the crew arrived without a single packing box or proper protective material. Everything was delayed while they attempted to source boxes locally. The team appeared unprepared and disorganized: the movers did not seem to know each other, did not share a common language, and none wore company uniforms. This gave the strong impression that the crew was assembled at the last minute.
Packing was done without adequate protection. No proper materials were used for furniture or fragile items. No inventory list was created, so there is no reliable record of what left our home versus what was delivered.
The loading of the truck was extremely poor. As a result:
• Nearly all furniture arrived scratched, damaged, or dirty
• Glasses, plates, and decorative items were shattered (I am attaching photos)
• Clothes were packed without wardrobe boxes, arriving wrinkled, torn, and dirty
• Even plants were packed in cheap boxes, causing additional damage
While the insurance eventually covered the damages, it took 4–5 months to receive compensation. The financial reimbursement does not undo the stress, time lost, and poor handling of personal belongings.
This move was badly managed from start to finish and showed a serious lack of professionalism and preparation for an international relocation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for cross-border moves, especially when proper packing and care are required.
