USE WHICH to MAKE scammers refund you

I know WHICH has helped re "health& care" I am lucky to have WHICH to help me get full refunds from scam artists like Tony of scam sites like so called "health& careless"Which's letter will work and mr t will have to admit he is a scam artist "trying" to "make"me return his fauly phone. I do not see how many good reviews can be Tony must scare old disabled people by making them return faulty items . only reason maybe? I just sent WHICH'S letter to "tony" of "non heallh and could not care less" today READ IT AND WEEP tony

Would give no stars if I could

Would give no stars if I could. Tried to cancel my husband's subscription following his sudden and traumatic death. Can't do online as haven't got his password. Repeatedly phoned over a number of days on hold for ages, no one answers. Appalling for a so called consumer rights company. Should be a TV programme investigating them !!!

Years ago I bought a range cooker from belling. It was a which best buy. Well what a load of rubbish it was. The cooker was so bad the knobs melted after 3 months. When I reported this to which, they replied, its only when customers report these problems do they find out. My question is then how can which mark such items as best buy?. In my opinion you cannot trust which and the procedure they use to grade items. Testing something like a cooker for ten minutes to see how quickly it heats up is a joke. People want longevity for their money, not a quick test and you which say the item is a best buy. In the end I took Glen dimplex to court and won my case. Don't trust which the Testing is flawed

Which? / Which Legal Misrepresented Service - terrible services

Took out subscription to Which? digital and to Which Legal number of years ago. Had various problems on the Which? reports - queries re gaps in info or reviews of products that are simply not available for the consumer to buy (ceased by Manufacturer 2 yrs earlier) etc. Various problems reported - some just ignored and some given lip service.

Not had to use Which Legal until last year. Booked appointment and explained what issue was about. on the day got a call to the agreed number and confirmed who I was. Then Which Legal wanted to go through what they referred to as "security" - I pointed out I was expecting discussion of a legal issue and no personal information was relevant (and I wasn't asking for any personal info to be confirmed) - I just wanted them to clarify which bit of legislation would be relevant for the circumstances. Which Legal adviser (WL adv) refused to speak to me until I had answered all his "security" questions - I tried to point out he had called me and could be anyone just requesting my security details - I said I should be asking him to prove who he was - he called me ! Clearly very annoyed the WL adv hung up the call !! Tried to register a complaint but unable to get through to anyone.

Current situation - contacted WL re a parking ticket - that I thought was incorrect. Booked appt and got call on the day from adviser. Call was cut off twice - once in the middle of adviser speaking (believe this was a tech issue) and the second time - seemingly - when the adviser didn't want to answer difficult questions ! Adviser took over 10 mins to try call back each time - after the 2nd - I was on phone making a complaint !

Problem - WL adviser stated they didn't provide advise concerning parking tickets issued by councils - I was somewhat shocked as it states parking tickets issued by council very clearly on their website. The adviser was adamant they did not cover this area.

The adviser subsequently sent through a non-working link and a quoted paragraph from there terms and conditions stating they didn't deal with .... strange the quoted list only included moving vehicle offences - nothing about parking at all. I decided to look at the original document and managed to find the proper reference from the un-working link. Surprised to find that not only was there no page 27 (where the adviser stated the quote was from) but the heading provided by the adviser did not exclude parking tickets and did not include her quote.

I went back to the website and found two clear statements from Which? legal stating they could help with parking tickets issued by councils and private companies. No problem, I thought must just be a mix up - I'll send all of this through and they'll sort out the mess and honour what is on the website.

Sent through a very very detailed email and screenshots showing the website etc and also the fact that the document referred to by the adviser - did not state what she had said.

Got a three line response saying phone lines had problems and apologies - nothing whatsoever about the rest of the email - the non-working link, the booklet that does not have a page 27, the quote that does not exist, nor the website that states in several places that council issued tickets are something they give advice on ! All of it just ignored.

Had been told when I phoned to make a complaint that Which Legal manager was away but back following Monday and I would be able to speak to her to get all of this clarified. By Tuesday no call and when I called and they tried to connect the call the manager did not wish to speak to me - really !! Registered a further complaint and cancelled subscription to Which? Digital and Which? Legal - requested a full refund of all monies paid as clearly the service had never been provided and the areas they state are covered was MISREPRESENTED on their website !!!

Champion? The biggest lie...

"The consumer champion" it calls itself. It cannot be further from the truth. This company MUST be if the truth is told one of the worst customer service in the UK. It took them over 3 months to sort out my subscription address and to make matters worse they still send the magazine to...East Yorkshire FRANCE. When I wrote to them about one of their best buy washing machine having inherent fault according to a number of reviews, they told me they are not aware of it. They could not even be bothered to check. Customer service is non existent and incompetent. How this company is believed by people is a proof that one can fool people all the time. It is the classic "the camel never sees his hump" they criticise other companies and forgetting about themselves. They should look in the mirror, they will find an incompetent company therefore not to be trusted. It is a myth that this company is on the side of customers since they could not even manage to give their own customers an average service.

which.com cancellation almost IMPOSSIBLE

Which is rated on trustpilot.com with such low rating with a reason. I have not read about Which's ratings before I have subscribed to it. Big mistake as canceling. Which's subscription is like 'getting rid of Sky'... very long times on phone or chat for an agent to support on canceling for obvious reasonns. No reason for Which to keep customer's money against customer's will without being categorized a scam. Never again Which added to my growing list: HOTPOINT, WHICH, SKY Watch-out!

Which Magazine advertise a current subscription rate of £11.99 a month for Full Access. I have been charged £13.99 a month. Why am I paying more that the current rate? An email received today proposes a new charge of £14.99. Why the increase?
I tried to contact Which by phone - 15 minutes and no response. I tried to contact Which by Live Chat - 30 minutes and no response. Why can't I cancel my subscription online ?
The following was their response to a similar complaint from October 2021. They say "soon" but over 3 years has lapsed since this commitment was made. This can only be explained as a deliberate company policy to maximise income.
"It is true that the current forms of cancellation are via email, phonecall, letter or live chat. We'll soon be allowing all members to maintain their subscriptions, with changing their payment details and ceasing their subscriptions online. We're keen to ensure that our website and features are brought up to date as soon as possible."

Too difficult to cancel

For an association which is supposed to be championing consumer rights the membership cancellation process is totally unacceptable.
I was not able to cancel online, the website told me that I should do so using live chat or by calling. However the live chat was not working, and I had to queue for more than 20 minutes on the telephone before I spoke to an agent.
Members should be able to cancel online

Terrible customer service!

Terrible customer service!! I haven't been able to change my membership type online for months. "We're upgrading our systems, so you may not see all of your subscriptions here yet." - So time to cancel......if they ever answer their phone line!!? This is bordering on criminal, from a company that reviews other companies.....time for someone to review Which!

I can only concur with all the previous comments. Just spent 30 minutes on the phone with no answer. Been a member for many years and just want to change my subscription, which (no pun intended) you can't do online, you have to contact them, but they don't answer. Shocked at how poor this so called consumer protector can be at communication. Will cancel my subscription - if I ever get through.

They lied and said I could cancel by logging on to my account and selecting cancell

I paid for a digital membership which was easily done but now I want to cancel the only way to do this appears to be to phone a number in the daytime.
I have since had a reply that is a lie. Which did not respond to my email and when I Iog into my account to cancel there is not an option for cancellation instead I am directed to live chat or a telephone number both of which are closed.

A consumer champion should not act in this way

For a so called customer champion, Which’s customer service is unbelievably awful.

I took out a digital membership on 16th December. To this day I have not received confirmation of my membership and therefore cannot access my membership. Instead I discovered that the membership I had ordered has been sent to someone else!

I immediately sent a complaint to Which? Apart from an automated reply confirming receipt, I heard nothing from Which? until 24th December, 8 days later (they claim to try and reply by the next working day, though sometimes they take ‘a little longer’.) This long awaited reply was nothing more than a vague one line summary of my complaint. Since then, I have heard absolutely nothing.

So, I have paid for a membership but I have no access to it and my data has been shared with a third party. I am quite simply flabbergasted by this experience of Which?. It is so contrary to the mission of the organisation as a consumer champion. It is the type of behaviour that Which? would slam.

UPDATE
26th January,41 days after my complaint and still no resolution. Still under investigation apparently. Consumer champion? You are having a laugh.

Take your money but don’t give service

Lost my credit card so cancelled it. Pay which via my card . Because I cancelled my card which cancelled my subscription which I have had for the last 20 years. Won’t let me renew or add my new card details. Have to set up new subscription which does not offer me same plan. This cannot be right. Had some jobs worth who would not transfer me to a supervisor and told I would only get same answer. Buyers beware you are not getting value for money and your consumer rights are vialated buy the company that champions these rights. I am entitled to change my card details without it affecting my subscription. Not only did I have the worry of losing my card I now have to put up with being told I have no rights and basically tough.
Made an official complaint in December and yesterday 18/01/2025 received a reply. This reply did not address any of the issues I made. This company has total disregard for its subscribers anybody reading this and thinking of taking out a subscription please please don’t.
Just read your reply what a load of rubbish. Have contacted your team via email. Will not reinstate my subscription as you no longer do the subscription I had. Will not be treated like an imbecile all you had to do was take my new card details no different to when a new card is issued when your card expires. Your customer service needs updating and are so rude it’s unbelievable.

Continuous bad advice

I have subscribed to Which for many years but will not be renewing this year. The last 2 bestbuy bits of advice have been awful. Zen Internet which has given me nothing but trouble and Polk Speakers which are impossible for everyone I know to get to work properly. Wish I never looked on the site.

Don't subscribe. Misleading and they won't give you your money back.

Misled me by making it look like they had a page full of recommended TVs, but you had to subscribe to see the details. Subscribed to unlock the page and all the supposed TVs vanished to be replaced with a message saying they didn't recommend getting any TVs in that range.

Unsubscribed, although they made it difficult as they could by hiding the unsubscribe button behind a browser banner. Had to zoom out to be able to find it!

Asked for a refund as their policy says you can get a refund if you unsub with 14 days. Still haven't got a refund weeks later and they're ignoring my emails.

I paid to subscribe and got nothing - AVOID

I paid to access the service, I had problems with my password manager and had to reset my password, but I could not. Despite my new password matching their requirements, their website would not accept it, so now I cannot access my account. I had access for 1 day, I've emailed their support 5 times but had no reply at all. I am basically paying for nothing and I can't even cancel. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP BILLING YOU AND NOT REPLY. As for the review I did read on my one day of access, the reviews seem generic and useless articles, I say this because I purchased an item based on their positive review but my experience of the purchased item did not match Which's review so I now question their integrity - the articles seem to be AI generated now. I've tried emailing which AT which.co.uk and complaintsteam AT which.co.uk 5+ times - NO REPLY. Let's see if they reply here.

Subscriptions - Not living to the standards they set

I am a very long term subscriber to Which. When I joined there were only quarterly subscriptions. The cost has been steadily rising and with the current hike of around 10% I decided to look a bit closer. I found they now use annual subscriptions and charge those subscribing quarterly around a 30% premium. When I contacted them they explained only existing members can be on quarterly subscriptions. So long term quarterly subscribers pay a big premium and much more than new annual subscribers. The advisor I contacted "didn't know" and couldn't find out how long I'd been paying this huge premium. Its the kind of approach that Which would be critical of with other organisations.

Our quarterly subscriptions are charged at an equivalent rate to our monthly subscriptions. Annual subscriptions are offered at a reduced rate when compared to the cost of monthly or quarterly subscriptions. When this option was introduced, we took steps to inform members by updating our website as well as including details in direct communication sent to our members.

I company that you can’t reach and talk…

I company that you can’t reach and talk to.
I have in offer to extend my membership and all was good till few weeks later nothing happened. They didn’t debit my card for the membership as we agreed and when I try to contact them you can’t fined a way to speak with antibody 40 min on a telephone and nothing.
Joe they cancel my membership and now one even bother to check why the DD didn’t not work and informed me if there is an issues.
They just cancelled my membership.

I don’t think they are worth your money.

We recently sent member communication that has driven a large increase in the volume of contact we are receiving and as a result, the wait times are much higher than usual. We expect this to be a temporary increase and are continuing to monitor the situation to ensure we are offering the best service possible.
