Our cat was happily eating Whiskas fish selection in jelly. Ordered a new box of 40 and it’s totally different! New packaging and clearly a new recipe. Total waste of money as she will not touch it. It’s totally different. I honestly thought I’d bought kitten food in error as teeny meat bits and a lot of jelly. She used to love the jelly but she will not touch it now

No longer a good product
After my cat happily ate Whiskas pouches for seven years, the recipe has been changed and he will no longer touch it. I’ll be buying something else from now on. What a massive mistake by Mars, you’ve ruined a good product and based on other recent reviews it’s going to cost you significantly.

Both of my cats refuse to eat Whiskas
Both of my cats refuse to eat Whiskas. I’ve just wasted money on 2 boxes of the 40 pouches. They have happily been eating it for the past 7 years. Obviously the recipe has been changed and not for the better!. I won’t be buying it again.

Terrible cat food
My cat has completely refused to eat the Mars packs of the gravy cat food. She’s very clever it’s complete rubbish. Totally changed the content and flavour. I’d say it’s bad for your pet and don’t purchase anymore. I’ve wasted £15 on 3 packs with different batch numbers before I went online to see other people’s views. Mars has completely destroyed a previously good cat food she enjoyed for years. I hand feed my cat (for her health reasons) and this food is now mush in a pack. Change the pack photo’s you are deceiving people. What you see is no longer what you get. It’s awful.

Made my cats ill since ingredients were changed have always bought wiskas for my cats…
Have always bought whiskas for my cats for decades. However, after several visits to the vets for both my cats having severe diarrhea I discover they have downgraded the ingredients. Vets concluded it was whiskas too. Lost a loyal customer. Also size has gone from 100g to 85g. And the price? Both cats fine since boycotting whiskas. Shame, they used to have a high reputation.

After quietly reducing the pouch from 100g. to 85g. a few years ago, they have now developed a way of minimising the solid material in the pouch and making the so-called gravy make up the weight.

My cats simply walk away from Whiskas now, having eaten this for years. I always give the crunchy food in moderation. I just don’t know what to do now…I’m busy going through other cat foods, so far, no results!

MASSIVE RIP OFF
The price of Whiskas WAS £5 for a box of 12 packets of 100g - now it is £5 for 12 packets of 85g - I have always recycled the packets. I got in touch with Whiskas to ask why they are putting less food in the packets for the same price. They say it is order to comply with green issues and recycling. What a load of rubbish, just another big company taking people for fools. I don’t buy Whiskas anymore, it’s a rip off. My cats enjoy healthy fridge food now and look better for it.

6 cats myself.
Before they changed the ingredients and packing my cats used to have
These without any problems or anything
Since then I tried one yesterday and it looks like it has food dye in the food..
Completely different food altogether and now my cats all walk away from it and won't touch it at all.
Also I used to buy the 6 tin packs .I go through about 18 tins per week..
And even now the price used to be £3.89 for 6 tins..
Now it's around £7.50-£8.50 for the same...greed before quality
I now make my cats food from scratch myself and it'd been a huge success.. Happy cats eating good food instead of coloured dyes etc

Whiskas tastymix pouches are basically a disgusting mess half of which can't be got out of the packaging. I threw the last pouch away unopened in the end as my 2 cats refused to eat any more .

Have they changed recipe, again?
I'm not sure of they have changed the recipe, again, but now both of ours won't touch the stuff. The boy used to wolf down a pouch but even he's turning his nose up at it...have it on reorder from Amazon and this is a new batch of 160 pouches which look like they will go to waste.

We know that cats are very fussy creatures! Just like us, pets can be choosy about what they fancy to eat and have likes and dislikes too. It sometimes helps to tempt them a few times and serving wet food at room temperature is what they prefer.

Bad experience
Both my cats have been sick and have loose stools. Whiskas tasty mix chefs choice in gravy. They are indoor cats so could only be the food. They were both sick and not well. Now better after a day and giving them alternative food. I have always trusted Whiskas but not anymore.

Our Maine Coon loves it!
We rescued a 4 year old Maine Coon and he was always a bit skinny and we struggled finding a wet food he'd eat (he eats his dry Concept of Life Maine Coon biscuits no problem). You hear so much about buying the most expensive quality foods for you cat which is fine.....if they'll eat it! I think I've bought just about every ultra premium brand cat food going and he eats a tiny bit then we end up throwing the rest away. My mums very old cat is equally fussy and only eats Felix Ocean Feasts but when the shop didn't have any she ended up buying some Whiskas to tide her car over until she could get some more Felix. Long story short, her cat wouldn't eat it so she bought it over for our cat to try. Well, we haven't looked back. He loves it and we now have zero waste after every meal! Thanks Whiskas

Obviously none of them own a cat!
What idiot decided that they should not produce tins of whiskas cat food anymore, if it’s because of the environment?, if that’s their thinking let me tell them why they are so wrong. Pouches are messy and CANNOT be recycled, tins surprise surprise CAN be recycled.
I will never buy Whiska’s again!
