Oak veneer interior doors,…
Excel joinery offered the closest measurement to the doors that we needed. They are heavyweight with a nice feel. We chose unfinished doors and they are lovely. The process of ordering was easy and the information that came through was good.
The only thing that didn’t work so well was the instructions on how to get a more accurate idea of delivery time as the time given is 7 am to 7 pm. The number and instructions given for the delivery company were useless as the phone was continuously engaged and the call was automatically cut off after 15 minutes, Fortunately I had emailed the day before and received a very helpful estimation.

Doors are primed so a little sanding is only required before finishing with a couple of top coats,so saves time and

Delivery was a day late so nobody was…
Delivery was a day late so nobody was at home ,no calls to tell me hed be late ,had to ring to find out, driver turns up the next day in a huge lorry couldn't get up my street , only one person delivering heavy doors so had to ask my 16 year old daughter to help drop the doors off outside a neighbours house, now I have to carry them to my house. Gees haulage charged me for that so called delivery to your doorstep!!!
Ha! Lol! had a response from you!!
What a load of rubbish!
I was not told that it was a one man delivery at all,nor that it was a kerbside delivery, also you driver told me that he had to stop because of his driving tachograph was up so he had to pull over for the night!
I paid good money for delivery that wasn't even delivered to my house and it was a day late with no communication from you to what was going on! Will not be buying from you again and wouldn't advise anybody that can't not get an artic lorry near there house to buy.
Also to carry the doors yourself because they only have one person that can't be arsed to carry themselves.
Only giving one star now because your response was a total lie!!

Hi Mr Pearce,
We are really sorry to hear about this.
Unfortunately your delivery was delayed due to traffic congestion, which sometimes happens, and is out of our control. We do apologise however, as we know the inconvenience it causes. We are told by the courier that they did advise you of the delay. We are waiting for further specifics on this.
Our home delivery service is a kerbside delivery. We also state that assistance maybe required to offload, as it is a one man delivery service.
Our delivery courier (Gees) can gain access to most roads. We ask if there are specific access issues upon order and if we are not notified of these, we have to assume the road is accessible. It is rare that our deliveries fail due to access issues.
Although you feel we have missed the mark on our door delivery, we hope that you do in fact like our doors.
Best regards,
XL

XL mistake
The hardwood patio doors supplied to us were oversized. We eventually negotiated a partial refund to pay a carpenter to plain down the doors. Equally disappointed with the multi point locking system which doesn't engage. XL Joinery said they'd organise a replacement. Months later, no partial refund and now they say the locking system may be subject to a £200+ swap fee.
Avoid at all costs.
