I'm visiting Ireland and I am experiencing a severe and volatile sciatic nerve compression that could potentially progress quickly to loss of control in my leg, and incontinence.

The private clinics are booked up for weeks, and the public hospitals are critically understaffed, and just want to shoo you home. An emergency here is literally if you're facing imminent death!!

I can't believe how much healthcare in Ireland has deteriorated. It's worse than in many third world countries. A shame and a disgrace...

HSE services OK some time you got remember dealing more people than few year's ago services slow because this clinic I was going to my Doctor gone to another place I can't get use new faces why I have working with my Doctor since my nervous break down 2020 he gone feel not same I feel new faces don't listen what say No answer I walk clinic yesterday I have walking stick be told person I was seeing off sick why did not write me I had letter send me Friday 7th August
I'm not going anymore you are just name number you can't get up do things at drop hat menial health problems also health issues I tryed going day out that said getting off bus because everyone get off together panicked loss so my shopping Staff don't think what like in public now just not able crowds people going out it's every day same I say this staff but nothing saided.
Lot's people are trapped like me not being heard don't get me wrong not all staff not great odd one good
Can't wait get out door telling stuff you know all ready it's same story all time I feel don't have answers I will get well on my own troubles if same as myself please learn by my experience lot's people have worser problems than myself I felt down yesterday after experience but looked at birds sky felt better now put my experience behind me go a lone be greatful for living and try better in public

I wrote to hse about my poor treatment by a staff member in cuh and I got a response and they were horrible to me, accusing me of being in the wrong. I'm very quiet, sensitive, have great patience and don't talk up for myself usually except for this one time and after this experience I don't trust or feel safe attending any appointments anymore. What a shower

Another thing is if you’d from a differ t country. You get treated better. It’s terrible im an Irish citizen. Can’t get help for my friend. Who needs a wheel chair. Badly after us hip operation. Six weeks ago no body in crumlin. Will call us back. Help it’s a joke help our Irish citizen. Please

Extremely long waiting list. Facilities incapable of performing basic needs for services. Doctors do little to nothing, and even give purposefully misleading information for their convenience. In my personal case, their incompetence and false information heavily influenced my first (and hopefully only) suicide attempt. Complaints service also provides no real results. I've used the Ombudsman numerous times.

I don't know what the HSE is but it is certainly not a health service. I've spoken to enough patients to know that they have destroyed more lives than they saved.

Despicable & unforgivable. Don't trust them at all. The French healthcare system is an astronomical improvement in comparison. When you see how well the health system is in France, you realise how truly horrible it is in Ireland.

Just awful. The HSE has officially ruined more lives than saved. Unforgivable what they have done to genuine innocent people and families. Let them be judged accordingly.

I had a few day procedures done in HSE Ennis Hospital in 2025....The consultant Dr. Mamoun Abdelrahman(UROLOGIST )was excellent... very caring..... Explained everything thing to me before and after procedures. I would certainly recommend Dr. Mamoun ... You are definitely in safe hands.

I find HSE are not doing great job on deaf disability. I am having hard time now. They are even bother to help and they want me do it myself. I can't hear phone. I ireland prefer phone then email and text messages. Why michael Martin does bother to help on disability people ?

Did not want to have sex with the Goons but I had to because Michael Martin said shared ownership I have squatters rights now since the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Some of them were very fit in the Psychiatric hospital love you too do not mind repopulating the Earth with them if you know what I mean I have to get public idemenity insurance and I promised not to reveal their details. I recently ordered a copy of my mother’s birth certificate. I found the HSE a delight to deal with in comparison with their UK counterpart. They do everything they say they will. There was an issue with tracing the birth certificate due to confusion with some family members using the O’ prefix and others not. I received a phone call and voice message explaining the problem. It was relatively easy to call back. The person I spoke to was incredibly helpful; tracing and dispatching the certificate immediately. I actually received it in the UK within a matter of days.

The HSE accurately described and suggested correct methods of healing the after effects of Covid-19 by breathing techniques. This website is thorough and very helpful. Thank you HSE

I TRIED TO APPLY FOR MEDICAL CARD TO THIS “COMPANY” AND UPLOADED ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND THEY RECEIVED THEM EVEN TWICE!THEY DO NOT ANY PROGRESS JUST REQUIRE MORE DOCUMENTS EVEN YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM!THEY DO NOT TREAT YOU LIKE A HUMAN JUST LIKE THIEF AND IDIOT!THEY ARE LIKE BOLSHEVITZ IN STALINIST RUSSIA!DREADFUL SERVICE!

Appalling. It’s tough to articulate how poorly run this organisation is. No shortage of staff, just terribly organised. Zero happens at the weekend. Communication (which is so basic and requires such little effort) is terrible. Different teams don’t appear to talk to each other and finally just because a persons injury and treatment is your job, that does not give you the right to be apathetic. It is a big deal for the patient. In a country where gross negligence and waste in state services is not newsworthy, the HSE is in a league of its own.

Angry and disappointed with the national service.After 5 years of working in a private nursing home for a minimum wage, without holidays and working in outbreak of COVID 19 i got COVID after 2 years and I had to go my last day of isolation (7day)to a gp and fill out the paperwork which they claimed it's easy to fill online -which i did ...no unified sistem that i got positive PCR national test!!!Joke,and tomorrow i have to come back to work 12 hour shift after 7days of COVID and with breading problem and put the mask on for 12 hours!!!Joke!!!

How can a certificate take 30 days to look up and print are they hand drawing the certificates? , I’m now waiting 60 odd days for my certificate and when you ring there number to find out information no mater where you are in the queue , I was 4,5,9 and 1st they hang up on me saying too many calls . Anyone thinking of getting a birth certificate can’t walk in you need to make appointment and if your lucky to get through your told no appointments available or they let phone ring out . Unbelievable for anyone needs certificate for of course a government branch who want it then and there and don’t accept you can’t get the certificates because of other over paid and under worked can’t do their jobs . 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Cannot get any official certificates for births or deaths in less than 30 days - can be up to 60 days.
Not good enough - these documents are required for important legal reasons.
Also no phone service.

They get bad press all the time but any dealings I have had with them have been very positive. The staff are very nice. Difficult at this time.
