I recently completed my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Rishikesh Yogkulam, and it was a truly life-changing experience. Learning Yog, from Rishikesh Yogkulam was one enriching and fulfilling experience. I did the 500hrs YTTC.
I am grateful to have found this school, and I am grateful to this school to have me as their student.
Firstly, the quality of education was top notch, with excellent teachers and a very good course material. Be it practical education or theory, the teachers did a wonderful job delivering the said subject. I have felt a holistic difference in me after completing my course.
(To be noted, I was carrying a back injury, the teachers made sure to inform me what exercise to do and what not and what exercise could help me heal and built strength. They enquired if I was okay from time to time.)
Secondly, the stay was so good, way beyond my expectations. They maintain consistent hygiene throughout the campus.
Third, the food. A happy stomach, a happy mood. Yes, the food was really very good. They made sure, the food had gluten free and vegan options.

All in all, being away from for 2months was a smooth journey.

I recently completed training with Rishikesh Yogkulam and appreciated so much about this school. The instructors are impressive, kind, patient, humble and professional. I appreciate the level of authenticity and integrity. I enjoyed the area the school was located; the near by area was the right balance of opportunities to explore and also a quieter section of Rishikesh. The building and rooms are well maintained. I was grateful to have a private room myself and would recommend this to others as you share so much of your time with a full schedule. I enjoyed the food provided and felt it was plentiful. I recently completed the 300hr YTT, and I’m so grateful for the experience and for choosing Yogkulam. With so many schools to choose from in Rishikesh, I can highly recommend this school and wish that I could do it all again! The organisation and communication was great from the very beginning, they help arrange travel from the airport and were always so helpful with any issues or questions.

You can tell a lot of time, effort and energy has gone into creating such a special place, with a perfectly crafted schedule structure so that you can the most from your time at Yogkulam.

✨ Course ✨
The days are long, but they are so well structured and really well balanced. I particularly enjoyed the yoga therapy classes and how detailed the alignment classes were. You really do learn so much about people and yourself whilst on this course.

✨ Teachers ✨
The teachers are Yogkulam truly are incredible and the biggest highlight of the course. They are all so genuine, so knowledgable and they genuinely want you to do well and get everything you can from your time in at the school. I’m so grateful to have been able to learn from these teachers. It was so nice to be around teachers who are so passionate about what they do and want to share their knowledge with others.

✨ Food ✨
The food was always amazing, you can tell a lot of thought is gone into deciding the meals and the preparation of the meals. The kitchen staff are all so lovely too and always accommodate when needed. The evening meals are silent and I really loved that, it’s a great way to decompress after a long day of learning.

✨ Rooms ✨
I stayed in a private room which was really spacious, clean and comfortable. The balconies had the most amazing views!

✨ Location ✨
The location of the school is perfect. It’s in such a peaceful area surrounded by beautiful mountains, it’s close by to everything you could need such as cafes, a book store, local shops, pharmacies, currency converters and much more.

✨ Cleanliness ✨
The school was always so clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned often. The yoga shala was always cleaned after classes.

✨ Other ✨
There are lots of other additional treatments you can whilst at the school which are well worth doing! Such as an astrology reading, chakra balancing and Ayurvedic consultations.

The Sunday executions were also great and really well organised.

I recently complete the 200hr YTT at Yogkulam and had a great immersive experience. My room was clean, spacious and above my expectations. The balcony with the view of the forest was a real plus. The staff was very helpful and easy to approach. It was very welcoming and comfortable from the minute I walked in the door for the first time until my departure. The teachers were all very professional, motivating but still very approachable. My personal practice has improved a lot and the knowledge I've gained is motivating even more. The alignment and adjustment class and then the teaching exams provided me the confidence to not just teach yoga but to guide others to an enriched yoga practice. Every time we left a yoga hall for breakfast, lunch or evening it was cleaned. The food was great and always plentiful. I was not vegetarian before this trip so I was expecting to lose some weight and consume a few energy bars. I didn't lose the weight, didn't consume energy bars and I'm now wishing I had gotten some recipes while there. I spent several months researching yoga schools in Rishikesh. That was time well spent. The location of Yogkulam on the east side of the Ganga, up against the forest park lands was quieter than many locations yet it was a few minutes walk from anything I ever needed. The school planned excursions were done well and added to the experience. With the teachers attending the excursions was an opportunity to get to know them casually.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Yogkulam. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The philosophy instructor, in particular, is outstanding—you’ll gain fascinating insights not only into philosophy but also into Indian culture, history, and more. The anatomy teacher is also exceptional; she possesses extensive knowledge and provides practical advice on injury prevention, making the content both theoretical and hands-on.

The alignment and adjustment classes were highly beneficial, both for me as a practitioner and in preparing me as a future teacher. I greatly appreciated the Hatha and Ashtanga classes as well. A bit more focus on teaching methodology would have been a welcome addition.

The food was consistently delicious, and the accommodations were perfectly comfortable. The organized excursions were enjoyable, and the photographer captured many moments during these trips (perhaps a few too many for my taste!). The closing ceremony, with an Indian dance class, was a wonderful highlight and added to the memorable experience.

It would have been especially helpful to have more photos taken of the asanas during instructional moments (e.g., alignment or anatomy classes) and to have these uploaded to Google Drive. Since the school already uses Drive for photos, this would make it easier to reference specific points after the course.

The school environment was exceptionally clean, and everyone was friendly and helpful.

I recently completed the 100-hour teacher training at Yogkulam Yoga School in Rishikesh, and it was truly one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had. From the first day, I felt warmly welcomed by the kind and helpful staff. The teachers were not only knowledgeable and professional, but they also taught with a genuine passion that was incredibly inspiring. They answered every question with patience and care, making sure we felt supported throughout the journey.

The food was absolutely wonderful, nourishing, delicious and I already miss it sooo much!!! The school itself was very organized, clean, and ideally located, creating a peaceful environment for learning. I was even surprised with a birthday celebration, which made me feel right at home.

Yogkulam thoughtfully organized wonderful excursions and programs each Sunday, giving us a chance to explore the beautiful surroundings and bond with the students. A highlight was a fun yoga class at the Ganga beach during the week, which added a unique and memorable touch to our practice.

I learned so much each day, not only about yoga but also about myself. The incredible group of students made my experience even better. I absolutely loved my time at Yogkulam, wished I could stay longer, and am already looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Yogkulam, for this unforgettable journey!

The whole experience at Rishikesh Yogkulam was amazing. On the 200 hour YTT I learnt even more than I expected, from the alignment of physical asanas, methods and background of pranayama and meditation to the philosophy and anatomy of Yoga. The teachers are exceptional at what they do, making sure you fully understand everything they show you and why. I felt comfortable asking questions and sharing experiences in class. I added on the Ayurveda classes and would recommend everyone do the same, we learnt heaps in a way we can bring into our lifestyles.
Both the staff and fellow students created a warm, family atmosphere and a safe space to grow.
The location of the school is perfect, backing onto lush forest in a more peaceful area of the city in a bubble of spiritual yogis (plus cows, dogs and monkeys of course).
The food was delicious, each meal varied and balanced. The whole place is impeccably clean too!
I have no complaints at all and would definitely return if I decide to do 300 hours!

On arrival you are welcomed by kind members of stuff. School was very clean and food was fresh and delicious every day. Kind, experienced and amazing teachers,each one of them made me feel safe and like at home.

I had a great experience in this school.
As I was in my personal discovery journey, I was looking for a new insights for myself. And I found them. I also enhanced my discipline which I apply now to my life, I’ve met great people there, I’ve met a very Nice teachers there, accommodation was simple, comfortable, and clean which is important. The food was simple and Indian. So be prepared no western food. But in a way it’s good because you have a complete immersion in Indian culture. I’m also gluten free person and they kindly organise this option as well for those who has some specific food demand.
I’m very grateful to school to owner of the school, to the teachers and all staff of the school, for such care, and a good programme of yoga teaching. Thank you !

I recently completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course, and it was an incredible experience! The teachers were knowledgeable, supportive, and truly inspiring. Their focus on alignment and attention to detail helped deepen my understanding of both Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa practices. The philosophy sessions were enlightening, offering rich insights into the history and spiritual aspects of yoga.

I started with only small knowledge of yoga, and just yesterday, I taught my first asana class! The growth I've experienced as both a practitioner and a teacher is life-changing, and it’s all thanks to the amazing staff.

The vegan diet provided was fantastic and fully supported, so if you're vegan and concerned about maintaining muscle, no worries! There’s even a shop down the road that sells plant-based protein bars, which made it easy to stay on track. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was nourishing, creating a perfect environment for this transformative journey. Highly recommend!

Sono molto grata di aver avuto la possibilità di vivere un'esperienza così ricca che mi ha riempito il cuore, sono stata un mese in questa scuola ad agosto e ho conosciuto persone incredibili, insegnanti qualificati, gentili e con una grande anima, mi sono sentita casa. La scuola è un ambiente pulitissimo e c'è una disponibilità e attenzione per tutti molto alta. Ho imparato un nuovo stile di vita grazie a questa esperienza, dal cibo vegetariano buonissimo e molto vario, alla disciplina appresa, all'amore per la pratica e tutte le nozioni ricevute. Ho fatto il ttc di 200 ore presso Yogkulam school di Rishikesh lo scorso agosto, non sapendo, davvero, cosa aspettarmi. Ecco, la risposta era facile: la pioggia!!!! Lì è piena stagione dei monsoni e, sebbene all'inizio sia stato difficile, poi il mio corpo, la mia mente, il mio cuore, si sono "calmati" e aperti a questa esperienza incredibile. La scuola è in un edificio nuovo, le camere spaziose e pulite, la cucina è varia e bilanciata. Gli insegnanti sono preparati, professionali, umani, mi hanno incoraggiato ogni singolo giorno prendendomi per mano con pazienza e umanità. Sono piena di gratitudine per tutti loro e spero di tornare presto per continuare il mio percorso.

I did my 500h YTTC at Yogkulam Rishikesh from April to May 2024 and it was an incredible experience.
The teachers are great and very knowledgeable, the food is delicious (even though it is quite lentil and bean heavy, so everyone felt quite bloated most of the time) and the accommodations were clean and simple.
I can highly recommend to do a YTTC at Yogkulam Rishikesh, as you learn a lot and can improve your yoga practice greatly.

I had a lovely experience at Rishikesh yogkulam last July. They are well organised and care about the people coming from all over the world. They are very accommodating and I felt welcome. Their teaching was rich, and you could tell that they were eager to share their knowledge. I left this place with so many incredible memories and they made sure we had pictures of those moments to cherish afterwards. Additionally, the place was clean and very tidy, the food was delicious and Indu made sure we were as comfortable as possible.
