Signed up for Community Solar with YSG Solar. Their staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. One of the easiest things I have signed up for. They help me save 10% off my electric bill as a renter in NYC. No brainer. I highly recommend YSG Solar.

YSG has everything you need and want from a top notch solar energy company. These guys know what their doing and they do it so well. Make sure you contact them for your next energy saving project for sure!

My husband & I both firmly believe that we could not have had a better experience with any other company other than YSG. We’ve been on the fence about switching to solar. As I’m sure you you probably know how hard it is to find honest & reliable companies these days. Within one day of leaving a message with YSG Solar I received a call back from Kenny the salesman who set me up with an inspector & his roofer Frankie who both showed up on time when they said they would the next day. Once the financing was approved we had our roof done by Frankie & his crew who were extremely professional & reliable. We than had the panels installed by YSG a month later, awaiting the completion of other work being finished. We appreciate their patience & professionalism. They made our experience stress free!!

The YSG Upstate NY team was quick to jump on starting the work right away once the briefing was done. About 2 months after our contract was initially signed, they came around 7:30am and were out by 12:30pm, for two days total. The area was left clean as it was. Area was caution taped for safety but they did coordinate with my parcel deliveries and pickups. Power was shutdown twice for 15-20min each time but I was given a heads up at least 10 mins before it was executed. We did have some hiccups with Nat Grid requiring a service panel upgrade once they came for inspection, so it took some time to get the permitting closed out and the system turned on. The requirement had nothing to do with YSG's work, it was something required by Nat Grid after the fact because my house is older, so I do not fault YSG for the delay or additional few hundred dollar cost. All in all, as of May 2020, our system has been performing at the exact figures we were promised (approx $180 of power per month), including the 5% yearly overproduction we paid for with our system design and I am excited to see our production for the warmer months coming up. I would highly recommend choosing YSG to install at your home.

My Tesla is now being charged from the sun! thank you YSG Solar. In September we started searching for a solar panel company. My neighbor used another company that we met previously who came to our home to provide us an estimate. We started the process and after months nothing occurred, my husband ended up cancelling. We called YSG and within one day of calling we received the estimate. From the day the paperwork was signed until the panel system had been installed was just weeks. This was a big relief. It was not an easy decision for us to go electric with our car. YSG even installed our Tesla charger, they delivered on all of their promises and are a true professional company. There is nothing better than getting a $20 power bill.

I have been a customer of YSG since September 2020. They have been paid by me and I still am getting a run around to have my service connected. I spoke to CON Ed and was told they have received MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS about this company. I don't know where they are getting good reviews from but truth be told their customer service is one of the worst I've encountered. No one knows what the other one is doing. I am frustrated at the amount of times I have to address the same issue and it just keeps reoccurring all the time. I am so totally fed up with them, and trying to get a hold of David Majid, well good luck on that!!!!!!!!!!

One of the worst experiences I've ever had w/ any company. The project took 9 months to complete w/ almost no communication once documents were signed. The company didn't get permits from my town before installing and installed incorrectly according to code. They also didn't upgrade my service panel even though it was in the contract and are still trying to get out of it. The solar panels were installed 4 months ago and are still not turned on and can't get a hold of anyone from the company or get a callback.

Where do I from? My Awful Experience with YSG began back in February 2020. After numerous of phone calls with Kenneth, the sales associate, pushing to sign the contract to have YSG install my solar. Upon our conversation he promised that the system will be fully installed before April of 2020 which of course it never happened because YSG doesn’t have installers. FYI, YSG sublease their contracts, which means you are not dealing with installers that directly work with them.

Finally, they scheduled dates in June of 2020, I would call out of work, but they would not show up for various excuses. This occurred three times! Finally, they showed up the second week in July, when they came they were unprepared missing many equipment and material. And to top it all, they didn’t have a master electrician on site. I have contacted Kenneth, and requested to have the master electrician on site, he claimed that the electrician has a flat tire and they were going to send him an Uber, and of course that was another story, the electrician never showed up. The biggest problem was when the installers went on the top of my roof and began drilling, realized that the drawing that YSG provided was inaccurate and at this point was too late. YSG, claims that they get the best 4K satellite drawing of anyone’s roof which is incorrect because they had to modify the drawing to place the panels, which I felt bad for the installers since I wanted to get this project over with since it’s been taking too long. Installers would have to run to Home Depot and to the warehouse constantly and multiple times for missing equipment throughout the day, as a result, the projects continues to be delayed. Installers came approximately 6-7 times including the time when I was away, and completed the project without notifying me so that I would release the loan money to them. The procedure for opening up loans, which YSG is most concerned about this, the only THING they will harass you for. They run your credit twice to apply for a loan from a company called Green Sky, this money, they use to buy their equipments. Then , they will run your credit again by Service finance, and they will tell you that you have 18 months without any interest, which they will HARASS you until you make the validation phone call so the money is released to them. DON’T MAKE THAT MISTAKE which I did, unfortunately!!!! You are releasing the full money to YSG, without passing inspection, which it failed the first time, which occurred October 2020. The panels were up on the roof without being connected from August 10, 2020. After a conference call with CEO of the company (David), which I will tell you all about my experience with him. David is the owner of the company, he will get involved when you call up your loan companies as you contact them to let them know that the project is incomplete and you wouldn’t want to release the money. This man will sweet talk to you, he will state various laws, will assure you that you will be pleased with their service when you see the discount on the electricity bill, he sells all the promises and doesn’t fulfill any of them, because his aim was to get the money released and to pay the sales rep and the installers their commission. The last contact I had was on August 10,2020- he promised my system will be running and activated within 4-6 weeks. They will give you a credit until the system fully charged up, about 2-3 payments, but you have to constantly chase them, finally, I got it before I released my second loan payment to them. Again, this has been my biggest regret to sign up with this company, be aware of their scams. We are in January of 2021, my system is not fully connected, I have 10 out of 19 panels that are not connected to the server, they can’t find anyone/ contractors to come to fix the mistakes of the installers since they have a reputation of not paying their contractors. The previous installers didn’t provide the diagram to monitor the location of each panel on the roof, which I am entitle to, NEEDING TO KNOW THE SERIAL NUMBERS FOR WARRANTY PURPOSES!!!! I have opened multiple complains with both of the loan companies, I have tried to reach USG numerous of times, but still NO response, and I am responsible to pay ConEd, Green Sky, and Service Finance. I have ALL the DOCUMENTS between YSG and I and the thread of emails of ALL their Scams. Now, I am forced to take it to Court, do yourself a favor, pay the extra 2-3k and choose a company that has better customer service, has their own installers, instead of waiting more than a year, and yet haven’t gotten much progress done. If you search the company on any site, they have BAD reviews all across, don’t take a chance, it will cost you more.
Talking about customerservice it took you 4month to answer a complaint. YSG till now still owes me money
