ZIPDJ operates on a clearly disclosed auto-recurring subscription model, similar to most digital subscription services. Renewal terms, billing terms, cancellation requirements, and pricing details are presented during signup and checkout, and agreed to before payment and activation.
Phillip subscribed to an annual promotional plan, used the service, downloaded music, and later disputed the valid renewal charge through his bank. The chargeback claim was reviewed and ultimately decided in ZIPDJ’s favor based on the documented agreement, account activity, and service usage.
Despite this, we still attempted to resolve the matter amicably by offering additional complimentary service as a goodwill gesture.
Regarding the claim that his account was “disabled,” this is inaccurate. Accounts with canceled or disputed subscriptions lose active membership access once the billing dispute is initiated.
We fully respect constructive criticism, but we do not believe it is fair to characterize clearly disclosed subscription terms as “scammy” or “predatory” simply because a renewal policy was overlooked.
