Working in an international business give a lot of headache when we need to understand tax compliance of different countries. And here is where 1stopVAT comes into play: they are our go to source in indirect tax advisory, compliance and VAT registration when needed.

I run quite large business on Amazon and covering several countries in EU and outside of EU. After issues with "Amazon recommended partners" (other sellers knows what im talking about), I was on the lookout for the new compliance partner who would be able to handle all VAT related issues, filings and communication with tax office for me. Here, from the first point of contact until now - I was impressed with 1stop VAT. Personal approach (not just digital or AI support), but really individual approch to me - especially when it comes to dealing with issues with Tax office, is truly appreciated. Gabby, our account manager, is always making sure I am fully informed about whats going on (she makes phone call and gives me information needed)....which, honestly, Im so happy with. In todays age where people are replaced with machines, 1StopVAT invests into staff to make sure clients get personalised reply. SCAM COMPANY!! SHOULD HAVE LISTEN TO THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!

I paid a deposit last year for fiscal representation. No work was done. They claimed non-payment, refused written confirmation, and stopped replying. I later discovered the VAT number they applied for was closed, and my deposit was never refunded up till now even after many emails.

Always very supportive and highly professional team. Without hesitations makes extra miles to have a happy customer!

EDIT: they did apologize and waive the 30 EUR they kept pestering me about after I left this review, so I upped the star rating from 2 to 3.

They are terrible at communicating. And borderline scammy with the way they keep invoicing me multiple times for the same invoices I already paid in full. I wish I had gone with a more expensive company with better service, because it has been a big headache working with them.

For one thing, for my first 3 invoices from them, I paid them in full to the bank account they requested. Yet they keep telling me that they received 10 EUR less than the total for these invoices (due to their bank charging THEM a fee) and insisting that I pay them this extra 10 EUR per invoice that I already paid in full.

This is like if you bought a coffee with a credit card... then the barista insisted you make a second payment of 3% to cover the credit card processing fee for your first payment. Then kept emailing you about this "unpaid" amount for months. How ridiculous.

Also, the whole point of hiring them was to take the burden of registering for VAT and filing it off my shoulders, but they leave a lot of that burden on you.

For instance, weeks after they started registering me for EU VAT, they all of a sudden told me I had to print out some forms, physically sign them, and then mail them to the Netherlands. No, digitally signing them was not an option.

This was very annoying because I was in the middle of traveling in China at the time, and it was very hard to figure out where to print and mail documents internationally. There was no warning that this would be needed when we began the registration process, which would have made it a lot easier if I could have planned ahead.

Also, for my first VAT filing, they simply sent me an email requesting my "purchase and sale dates" (a typo?) with no further explanation of exactly what data they wanted, and I had to email back and forth with them to figure out what data they wanted.

All throughout this process they did no explaining of what to expect or what my next steps in the process of registering/filing for VAT were. For example, at what point in the registration process am I okay to send my goods to the Netherlands? It's like they already expected me to be a VAT expert when the whole point of hiring them was that they are supposed to be the experts.

Don't be fooled by the sales guys' confidence and reassuring nature. Once you sign the contract and are actually working with them, expect the level of customer service that you would get at a McDonald's at 2AM.

Very bad experience with this service provider.

The overall experience was unsatisfactory, primarily due to poor communication. Even when aware that an OSS application is likely to be rejected, the team fails to provide clear guidance on the necessary steps for a successful outcome. Additionally, responsiveness is a significant issue—messages and requests often go unanswered. For example, I had to follow up four times just to obtain proof of submission for my paperwork.
