Absolutely disgraceful company!!! Rubbish course, they said that my son could leave after the first level but charged him £8,000! he has now left to live in Australia and we have spent since January trying to prove it. Going round and round, with them saying that they haven't received anything. So just received a letter asking for different things. So rang the number and got an obnoxious arrogant woman on the phone who refused to speak to me, pass me on to someone else or tell me her name. She patronised and insulted me, i have never had such bad customer service! my son has stopped paying the money and now is getting threatening letters. Has anyone got court letters or baliffs?

Absolute scam started in July 2021 had a meeting with one of the introductions staff who explained how much the course would cost and how the program would run, part way through the course I had to stop for a couple of months due to finishing my apprenticeship, when I came back to do it, they emailed me saying I only had 24 months to complete the course. Even know i was told there was no end date and they said there was nothing they could do. From digging into this now it turns out they were never apart of city and guilds and have from what others have said on here have been told it was student led whatever that means

The course itself was very poor, each book was very generic and almost felt like it had just been copied and pasted, each time I got a question wrong from the online exam, the teacher would say practically email the same response and tell me try again almost like it was automated, and whenever I called for help they were useless.

They reason you are probably asking how did so many people fall victim was because: 1)everything seemed legit they said they were recognised from C&G and they were registered with a college in Watford, even down to the finance company looked legit and I even did background checks on them, there was nothing to suspect them. 2) notice how everyone’s 1 star is from 2021 to 2022 same year I started, that’s because there were no ones star review or warnings about scam almost like they started overnight when they said they were around for years.

I consider myself lucky to a certain degree, was scammed out of £5500 when others have been scamed from £7000-£10000. In short save yourself self £5500

Joined 247 training uk in 2021, enrolled on the plumbing course, I recently tried to log in and was told my course has ended after 36 months, even thought during the zoom meeting I had I was told you do the course in your own time “normally” the course takes 36 months but you can take as long as you need, which is the reason I enrolled due to working full time with big hours, since ringing them I’ve been told that ERR will give me an extra 12 months to complete the course for £400 even thought the initial course has cost over £8000…

After now checking on google there seems to be a huge amount of people saying the same thing in 2024 has anyone had any luck with finding out if this is legit or not?

I’m now reading bad things about Caledonian Consumer Finance can someone give me some advice on this?

If I’ve been scammed then I’d like to know if it’s possible to cancel my finance as I’m already down £6500

Action fraud uk so they can build a case.
Financial conduct don’t have the finance company blacklisted they gave us two mobile numbers that are listed on their record rang them didn’t answer as a finance company and were very shady.
If anyone knows how to get bank their money please share.
Action fraud say to contact your bank about the payments.

I been with this platform from 2021, 3 years, from this weekend don't have more access, call customer service and was a disaster conversation , disrespectful to me from them, I already pay almost £7000 and still have another £1600 or less to pay, and for still have access for more one year I need to pay another £400. basically don't did nothing, lost the money, don't have any support from them, the people needs to report this situation to the police, they need to pay to us, because how can see here it was a thousand million pounds they took from this fraud. unbelievable

Having the same issues as everyone else.

Took £2,500 from me and are chasing me for the outstanding £5,500.

Please avoid this “training school” at all costs. They are just a bunch of salesman/ saleswoman trying to get £180 out of you.
Lied to me about where the college would be and ended up being 2hours away instead of 20minutes that was originally said to me. I learnt more in 1 week on site than I did in 18months trying to work the poorly written book and workshop videos. I am coming to the end of the contract with these and want to raise the awareness for anybody else thinking of doing this. Over £7000 wasted.

Please do not fall for their coercive and dishonest tactics, all good reviews are generated by themselves! ERR, 24/7 and potentially Scott Finance are all in on it. It is only a matter of time before they are brought down.

Look up NewTradesCareer, Carnegie, Caledonian, Menage Pantago and you will be quickly brought upnto speed on how they been changing names and scamming people for years.

I beg that you all report these people to actionfraud and refer them to links to the companies above.

They are literally just a middleman, they are not connected to anyone, they will not help you get a job and they will not teach you anything you could not learn off youtube. All the links on the site just go to random youtube videos. It is a complete joke.

Do NOT give them any money.

Started the course 18 months ago have found it very easy had been given help every time I’ve asked it is simple and easy to understand and has given me a good understanding of the job I am training for.

Had to give 1 star in order to write this review …. Disgusting unprofessional company, no support for students after they’ve signed up, books out dated and the company isn’t register with City & Guilds organisation, called customer service and was told it’s a student lead course, even though this wasn’t mentioned when I signed up, was told the tutors would be in touch regularly and when I wanted to speak to a manager I was told that
MANAGERS DON’T HAVE PHONES!!!
as it’s not company procedure.
Told me that my course finished in May but I was paying the finance company until Dec ‘24.
They offered me a free 6month extension as a good will gesture but it’s not free if I’m paying until December anyway.
Need to know how I can stop paying the finance and get some compensation back.

Worst company ever, complete scammers

SCAM…. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is along review but please read it They lied from the first phone call. My son went to college to train as an electrician but the college never found him an apprenticeship. Rather than give up he went on line and found this company 24/7. They promised to do his final year while studying from home and practical at a local college. Everything sounded good. This was just after COVID the reviews were good, since found out put on by the company themselves. A zoom call is set up and a guy called Derrick probably not real name tells you that you get all the qualifications you’ll need, very convincing. Because my son had been to college he said it would take a year at most My son had to go through credit checks and then signed up for the course which has cost him £6.500 pounds, direct debit over 3 years. Work books were delivered and my son completed loads sent them off and received more over the 1st year but no practical work. When questioned the answer was more work to do lies lies lies. We even went to where they are supposed to be based 150 miles from us and guess what no one there all day. Can’t get any straight answers from people who do eventually answer a phone. The money involved is from a loan company so couldn’t cancel. Derek who zoom called us conveniently retired not long after, lies again. I know this is a long review but people like this should not be allowed to get away with ripping people off. If you do read this please please please do not make the same mistake.
