I've really enjoyed my time with Yasmin over the past few months as a candidate. It's been quite refreshing to work with a recruiter who is genuinely passionate about the creative industry, her clients and her candidates. I think we all know that recruiters are often snowed under, but Yas will always get back to you, even if that means squeezing a voice note in between errands outside of work hours. She took the time to really understand what my strengths are along with my personality and goals and matched me to a handful of roles with the latest one proving successful! She was both my coach and cheerleader with plenty of wise straight talk alongside her bubbly 'you've got this!' moments. I will miss my weekly pep talks! but hopefully I'll have the opportunity to cross paths with Yas again be that for hiring, or down the line for myself. Thank you Yas if you're reading this. 1. Chess treats as a partner, not a product - gave lots of helpful framing and context which helped me pitch myself at the right level and cover main area's of interest. She reviewed my pitch deck and gave good feedback around my pitch.
2. Direct, to the point, no nonsense approach - Didn't sugar coat things or over promise, and set expectations clearly. This is very helpful to as a candidate in knowing exactly where I stood throughout the process and which area's to focus on.
3. Contactable, informative and supportive throughout the process - Chess called me after each step to debrief and talk about next steps and stayed in contact during the waiting phases. This was very reassuring and helped me put my best foot forward throughout the process.
