The process and format is easy to use.

You have forced me to close the credit card that you received another $84 payment after l clearly stated that your service is a scam and that your response to complaints is tiresome and slow. You made the experience unbelievably stressful and I had to hire a lawyer to get my divorce done. Even the lawyer told me she gets many of your complaints. Mostly about the template that doesnt save changes when needed, and the amount of unneeded paperwork that a simple, uncontested divorce neede. Is a fraudulent business something you're proud of? You take advantage of people at a time where things are already stressful. When l hired my lawyer, I went into her office and had a nervous breakdown because of how difficult you made the process. I will continue to complain on any platform where your business asks for a review.

My daughter has no children, no community property, no shared debt and no shared bank accounts. 3 steps? We tried to start filling out the documents and not too many steps in we realized that the site isn’t even secure. For a non contested divorce they were asking so many questions that were impossible for her to answer. We absolutely could not reach anyone by phone and no response whatsoever via email.

I disputed the charge with my credit card company and the company sure did respond to them right away, no problem. Refused to give a refund.

Almost 3 months later and I finally received an email to inform me that so sorry, but we are not going to refund you any money, regardless of the fact you were unable to get a divorce.

It was far easier to just do it ourselves in no time at all through the court system.

I would NOT recommend this service to anyone.

This site charges you for paperwork you can get free at the courthouse. Then you have your still pay a filing fee at the courthouse to file. I searched online divorce so I was led to believe that for the money they were going to help me file the divorce, but no. I got taken for $299 and still have to pay $200 to file papers. This site did nothing but take advantage of me.

2 years Later and Nothing

Your email states that "prolonged inactivity and the failure to return the necessary documents" led to the administrative closure. However, I have maintained consistent and proactive communication with your office regarding the status of the packet and my case. My email records will confirm that I initiated contact on September 22, 2025, which was only twelve days after the estimated dispatch of your 30-day warning notice, to inquire about the packet's status and my case.

Furthermore, I followed up with additional communications on October 6, 2025, and October 7, 2025. During these exchanges, I specifically requested that a new packet be sent out, demonstrating my commitment to moving the process forward and addressing any delays. My final outreach was on October 15, 2025, the very day your office indicates the return tracking label was first scanned and the packet was received.

Despite these repeated attempts to obtain clarification and resolution from your team, I did not receive a substantive response or guidance until your email today. This suggests that the "inactivity" causing the processing issues was not on my part, but rather a lack of responsive communication from your company in addressing my legitimate inquiries and proactive requests.

Given this verifiable history of my engagement and your company's lack of response to my communications, I find the administrative closure of my case due to "inactivity" to be entirely unjustified and unacceptable. The claim of no prior communication from the respondent regarding the packet's whereabouts does not negate my active efforts to communicate with your firm.

I therefore request an immediate and thorough review of my case, taking into account the documented email threads proving my consistent efforts to inquire about and resolve the packet situation. I expect a resolution that reverses this arbitrary closure and allows my case to proceed.

Please provide me with the direct contact information for a supervisor or higher authority within your organization whom I can speak with to escalate this matter further.

In email threads between the company it states she received her new packet Aug 14th, on Sep 10th, i was sent a 30 day inactive email which is already wrong. Then i don't hear from the company again after returning an email until 15 days later. Then now another 16 days later saying my case is closed when i waited over a month for a response.?.

This allowed me to get this chapter of my closed without breaking the bank.

Absolutely NO customer service forms don't print with information that you input.

I used this service to help myself and my ex-husband get a quick and easy divorce. There was no money, no property and no children between us. The only thing of value we shared was a van, which I signed over to him before even filing for a divorce.

3StepDivorce was good in the start. I could call them and speak to a live person. When I'd email, they'd respond within one working day. I get not answering an email on Friday at 6 pm.

3StepDivorce would answer my questions, and I'd put them on the forms (you do not need to check this box, you can use this date, etc), the courts sent the forms back saying this was wrong and that was wrong.

This procress took so long. I understand an uncontested divorce does not get the same urgen treatment as one with children, or a lot of money being fought over. But because of their poor advice, the courts weren't able to process our forms in a timely manner.

3StepDivorce sent my ex-husband and myself packets to fill out and return. We both did in a timely manner for each one. But one day, the courts said they couldn't process my forms because a form was missing on my end. I have a copy of my ex-husband's form and that was it for that form.

Lucky for me, a kind man at the family courthouse gave me that form free of charge stating I should have been sent this form. But even he said "I hope you haven't paid those people yet."

The only good thing 3StepDivorce did was lengthen the process so much, that a lady at the family courthouse gave me an Expeditated Judgement form, I filled it out, my ex and I signed and as of the 3rd of this month, we're officially divorced. I filed in 2023.

I went to their Facebook page to see if anyone else out there had any issues with 3StepDivorce, or was it just me? People are demanding refunds. I don't think I can get one nor can those other people.

Why?

This is a scam.

I'm not saying a lawyer is cheaper, but at the point of 3StepDivorce, they might just be.

I have never in my life left a review until now. I am in my mid-twenties and needed help with getting divorced as I had no clue what I was doing. It was uncontested, my ex was great and we agreed on everything. I wanted this to be done as quickly as possible, so I chose this company based on their promises of quickness and ease.
In the beginning, it was fine. I answered all the questions and followed the instructions of every packet they sent to a T. Then, their company went radio silent for two whole months. There is NO phone number to call, only email, and after this odd hiatus my ex and I received emails that they "encountered unexpected circumstances that slowed our usual response time". Our forms kept getting rejected (four times in total) and every time I notified them of a rejection, they had to mail me a prepaid envelope so I could mail THEM the rejected paperwork. This happened four times. Every time they resubmitted it, it was rejected. This, in addition to the two-month hiatus, longed-out our divorce by five months. I finally took matters into my own hands and had to drive down to the courthouse (2 hours away) at opening and speak with a Family Law Facilitator to help figure out the problem with the packets. Turns out, the Marital Settlement Agreement was missing vital pieces of information, a form that 3StepDivorce filled out. This whole time, they were the problem. After many months of hassle, tears, frustration, not being able to get ahold of anyone, I figured it out and got divorced on my own.
They were helpful with the inital forms, however they did NOT follow through on their money-back guarantee. It took me 18 months to get divorced. I would NEVER recommend this company. I want my money back and an explanation for all this. DO NOT USE THEM. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

In response to your reply here to me, 3stepdivorce, I emailed you ten days ago and am still waiting for a response. Reply to my email, not Trust Pilot. You denied my request for a refund & I have sent you screenshots of our correspondence proving our packets were rejected.

I wanted a no fault divorce NOT A dissolution. He will be and ass and not show up for hearing . He is not going to show it's to far for him to travel Thru don't give you a choice of dissolution or no fault divorce NOT HAPPY

I purchased 3 Step Divorce in July 2023. It took me some time to get my spouse on board with reviewing the documents. Early 2024, I got an email from 3 Step Divorce saying they were going to shut my account down due to inactivity. However, their website says I have as much time as I need to complete the paperwork. There is no time limit listed on the website. I have tried to contact them numerous times as my account has been locked out. They have not responded. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It’s very suspect that their 888 number is only a recording that instructs you to send an email to them. No one actually answers the phone. I want a refund. This is a terrible company with poor customer service. They are a scam in my opinion.

The ease of producing the necessary documents to settle a divorce. As situations arise and become stressful, your website reduces the tension and allows people to progress with completing the process.

Tried signing in to continue on with my packet and the website is unavailable??? I've already paid all of the payments and now can't do anything...tell me this is a glitch. thanks

My divorce was filed and opened with the courts in October 2023. It has yet to be completed. It’s a simple divorce. We don’t have kids. We don’t have assets to fight over. Very simple divorce. Should be the simplest 3 Step Divorce has ever seen. This company does not have a phone number that works. When we first started this process, they did have a number we could call to get updates. Now all we can do is email them and 95% of the time, they do not respond. This has been the worst experience ever for something that should be so simple. I would NEVER recommend this company ever. If anyone knows of a place I can make a formal complaint, please let me know!

These people are a rip off I paid the 74$ fee. The password they gave me never worked so I could never log on, then I sent an email to tech support the never answered, then I tried to calling the number it says no longer in service. Do not use this service they will scam you
