AAA has really fallen from grace. Currently I am 4 hours into what I’m finding out will be a SIX HOUR total wait time for a single tow truck for a “priority” premier customer. The mere fact that... Toon meer

What you say is not what is seen at the pump.
Question for you... I have heard several times you saying the average gas price is $4.04 a gallon? I work over the country and a don't agree! It is more than that.
Woman traveling alone? Great help!
Woman traveling alone and my van broke down. AAA team members were very helpful over the phone. Tow trucks, yes trucks, over three days made my trip so much better. Each driver was professional and got me the right help. Each shop I was brought to did great work. On the third night I wouldn’t need them to tow me and my dog locked me out! The truck came out and got me back in my van. I used AAA in three stateson three days in a row.I trust them and know they can work with me to get me on my way.

By far the worst roadside service ive ever received. Renewed my plan only to be told I can’t get a tow truck for 3 days. On top of that they wanted to charge me 60$ to get a truck today which is literally 20 less than the plan. Will never be purchasing this again

They provided me a partial refund after only a day of use that I received a letter in the mail that seemed misleading relating to the price of the service. Ill go with Goodsam for now on. Their customer service was not all that great.
AAA's automated/AI system is the worst...
I tried using AAA's automated phone/AI service to have my car battery jumped. I did this repeatedly, and each time it sent me to the app, where I sat looking at a blank white screen for minutes. At some point, I wanted to talk to a live agent -and the auto phone/AI service did the same thing. It then occurred to me to call the nearest AAA headquarters, to see if I could contact a live agent there - and once again, when I pressed "1" for "roadside assistance," it sent to me to the same useless app page. But then I had a bright idea: at the local headquarters, there was a connecting number for "Annuities." I *knew* the company would want me to talk with a live human for *that*. And sure enough, the number connected me to a live agent immediately. I explained my situation to her, and guess what - she immediately connected me to a live agent for roadside assistance. That live agent then hooked me up with a local service, and in less than a half hour, James was at my Jeep giving me a jump. But how long was it between making that first useless phone call to the automated/AI system, and finally reaching that first live agent, who *finally* got me what I needed? A minimum of 45 minutes. And once again, that was just so I could talk with someone who could help me. And did I mention that I just renewed my $142 Premiere membership? And did I mention this isn't my first time in this circus? Yeah - a couple of years ago, I was locked out of my vehicle around 10:00pm and I used the app. The AI texted me it would be ten minutes or so before a service contacted me. Again, this happened repeatedly. No one ever came that night - I finally reached some one the next morning. A similar process happened to me during another night time event. I provided a complaint in the feedback form a couple of times now - and I still see no changes. Bottom line: when you are able to deal with a live human, AAA provides great service. But their automated/AI system - to say it generously - has a *lot* to be desired. And I've had it with this system. If I have to actually *work* to get good service - or *any* service - and if they can't provide an easy option for immediately contacting a live agent - forget it. I put roadside assistance on my car insurance, and I'm never using them again. Three strikes, dude.
In middle of the night at a Trucker's stop, AAA Service man sent left us stranded without a word
On April 4th,26 I was traveling from Florida to NJ with my daughter, her two year old, and a 8 yr old. We stopped about 9:30 pm for gas at a truck stop Sheetz, Virginia. In my hurry to winter clothes on in the back of the van I left my keys on the floor. Completely to my dismay I had my money, cell, credit cards. My daughter had her cell. The manager of Sheetz offered us free beverages as we waited for AAA. Service man showed up awkwardly fumbled with the doors and left with out speaking to me. Left 2 women, and two little ones in a parking lotin the middle of the night! Manager of Sheetz called about company in and in 3 minutes he had my van open. I was back on the road by 11:30 at night. AAA endangered my families life leaving us like that. My daughter, AAA member and my self a AAAA member was abandoned. I recalled CS and the man said," What am I suppose to do?" For God
's sake act like your mom, wife and little kids are stuck in a different state with no money, id or cellphone.
Sheetz and the DGKeys saved us. AAA's CS has done nothing to compensate for their failure or even acknowledge the dangerous situation they left me in.
Yeah good for nothing
Yeah good for nothing. When you need them. They give you the run around. Pure crap.
I’m so done with AAA
I’m so done with AAA. It used to take under an hour (often even way less) to get a flat tire call. Now it’s just ridiculous. Gorgeous evening. No snow or weather. Just terrible execution of services - which is exactly what we are laying for.
Horrible Company
I had insurance for auto & home with AAA, my payments were automatically pulled each month. Then I get a letter from my mortgage company saying I did not have insurance, when I looked in to it because AAA had been taking the money out they said they canceled my policy without notice because I didn't pay the $60 membership. When I tried to pay the mere $60 to get the insurance reinstated they said I needed to redo the whole thing, so I spent a hour plus on the phone re-giving information they should have had and at the end they wanted more than $3000 up front because I had a canceled policy. So I told them neverminded & got different insurance, then today I see that they sent my stuff to a collection company for $130 dollars that I have no idea what is for considering with ACH they take the payment out for the month beforehand.
I had one of the WORST experience with AAA Roadside Service
I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with AAA, and it is completely unacceptable for a company that people rely on in emergencies.
My car broke down, and initially we believed it was a battery issue. AAA dispatched a third-party roadside technician who arrived after about 40 minutes. He was professional, courteous, and helpful, and we determined the issue was not the battery but that I needed a tow. Unfortunately, that is where everything went downhill.
After calling AAA again to request a tow, I was told the wait time would be 60–90 minutes. I explained that I had already been waiting and asked if the service could be expedited—there was no urgency, no accommodation, and no real concern shown.
I ended up waiting over 2 hours, and no tow truck arrived.
When I called back for an update, I was told my request had to be closed and restarted, which meant starting the entire process over again with another 60-minute wait. Again, I waited nearly 2 more hours, and still no tow truck.
After calling yet again, I was told the driver was “nearby” and would arrive within 25 minutes. That never happened.
Then, after more than 2.5 hours of waiting, I was given the towing company’s phone number—only to find out they had never even received a request from AAA for my vehicle.
At this point, I had been stranded for hours. A new request had to be submitted AGAIN, adding another 1–1.5 hours to the wait time.
After 5 hours of being stranded, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Even then, I was simply told to wait another hour.
In total, I was left stranded from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM—SIX HOURS—with no resolution, no accountability, and no sense of urgency from AAA.
This was not just an inconvenience—this was complete disregard for my time, safety, and well-being. AAA is supposed to provide peace of mind in stressful situations, but instead, they created a nightmare.
The lack of coordination, repeated misinformation, and failure to follow through is beyond unprofessional—it is unacceptable. No customer should ever have to experience this level of neglect.
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. AAA needs to seriously evaluate its towing dispatch system and customer service protocols, because this experience was a complete failure.
Horrible customer service
We spoke to someone on the phone and signed up for AAA entering us that our camper would be covered on our truck when we went to go use it needed it. It was informed to us that it was not because we did not have the correct coverage when we talk to them. They then told us that switching the coverage. We would have to wait 48 hours in order to use the policy because of their mistake. They refused to make any concessions and therefore we canceled our policy. Horrible customer service.
Terrible Service at the Worst Time
Prior to the past couple of years, AAA service was pretty good. However, I've had two bad experiences in the last 2-3 months. The most recent issue, a few days ago, involved waiting at night in sub-freezing weather far from home for a tow truck to come, then getting a call after an hour to tell me that nobody could get to me at all that night. The worst part was that someone actually lied to me and claimed they'd tried calling the whole time but there must not have been cell service. I was stranded right next to a cell phone tower. My phone only rang the one time I spoke with that person. Luckily the local police and a local garage were extremely helpful. Now I'm trying -- so far unsuccessfully -- to get AAA to reimburse me for the tow they couldn't provide. I have a AAA Plus membership which is more expensive, and I've been a member for decades, yet this is the treatment I got.
Moha Abdaljalil
Moha Abdaljalil, the tow truck driver, went above and beyond to help me get home on Friday, April 10th, after I had a flat tire from hitting a curb on Monroe St NW in Washington, DC. Moha towed my car at 3:00 AM from DC to the Acura dealer in Laurel, MD, showed me what form to fill out and where to submit it, along with my car key, for Acura service to retrieve and start repairs later that day. Moha made sure I could get a Lyft ride paid for by AAA from the Acura dealer to my home.
Moha, you are truly your brother's keeper.

The worst insurance experience of my…
The worst insurance experience of my life. They were slow, the person assigned to me was arrogant and condescending. After I sell my house I will NEVER get insurance from them again.
Left High and Dry after several promises for help
We had a wheel bearing go out on I-57 North near the Johnston City, Illinois exit. We called the Roadside Assistance number, 800-222-4357, four times. Twice we were disconnected. Once we talked to Olivia and once, we talked to Frank. Oliva promised we were prioritized because of the dangerous highway position we were in and would receive a call from a towing service soon. After several hours, we never were contacted. We called in again and talked to Frank. Frank kept cutting me off in mid-sentence. He had no record to our previous call with Olivia. He then promised to text a tire service we had provided him. We waited 15 minutes and contacted the tire service. Frank had never texted them. We had to figure this out ourselves and will be submitting our towing bill.
AAA’s Policy
AAA’s Policy about not being able to take Passengers needs to be REVISED(?). My mother whose 78yrs called AAA for Tow Service.,My mom was Not Traveling Alone as we’ve told her it’s BEST to Always be Accompanied with a Friend. Well, AAA’s Policy is that they Do NOT take PASSENGERS on a TOW CALL.
( wth )?! So AAA then Leaves Seniors
aka ( passengers) behind to be Left alone & picked up by someone else. AAA is known to supposedly give PEACE of MIND when Signing Up & Paying for that Service. What type of Service or for that Matter Peace of Mind could anyone Have when a Senior is LEFT BEHIND?! Ppl, picture it being your Mom left behind Until her RIDE ARRIVES ( like really )!!! HORRIBLE POLICY / HORRIBLE SERVICE
In Charleston WV
In Charleston WV, service was great but the employees have NO A/C IN TRUCKS! That is horrible. TRIPLE AAA FIX THIS !
Poor Service
I’m leaving review for today; I purchased RV service on my Premier AAA membership for my motorcycle! I called today to have it towed back to my residence and they don’t have a towing service available for a motorcycle! If towing companies are associated with AAA don’t want to service motorcycles why offer the service or use the towing companies!
Data Breach
AAA is operating an automated claims system that is actively leaking consumer data to strangers.
After a not-at-fault accident, I spent 18 months dealing with AAA's claims department. During a string of aggressive settlement negotiations, AAA sent me an official email that contained the personally identifiable information of a completely unrelated claimant or policy holder. Their automated software actively mixed up files and injected another person's identity into my communications.
I filed a formal Privacy Incident Report directly with AAA's Privacy Department, demanding an investigation and confirmation that my own data hadn't been leaked to someone else. The response? Complete and total silence. They have completely ignored the report.
This is a multi-billion-dollar corporation that is prioritizing fast, automated pressure tactics over basic consumer safety. The fact that their system leaks identities is bad enough, but their deliberate cover-up and refusal to investigate a formal privacy breach is inexcusable.
I have escalated this massive operational failure to the Attorney General offices in California and Texas and the Department of Insurance. If you are an AAA customer, do not assume your private information is safe in their hands.
AAA has gotten expensive n useless
AAA has gotten expensive n useless. They offer practically no printed trip material. They use to have tour books which were great when out of the country. Now if you travel abroad n don't have internet. You are out of luck. Now they want you to print your info. Can't even save to phone. You if you have no internet then you have to BUT A TOUR BOOK. Over priced AAA. When my membership over. I will not renew it
