Able Skills Construction Training Reviews

Great hands on training. Plenty of guidance from Glenn and Mark. Always available for questions. Highly Recommended!

I've completed the course with alot of knowledge to take with me on my future jobs

Highly recommended. An intensive week of both Carpentry and Joinery. Using hand tools only, a really great way to get used to using the tools properly. Great structure to the weeks activities. Out tutor (Dave) is very experienced and is patient when demonstrating and critiquing work.

I enrolled on the combined Level 2 & 3 Electrical course. Unfortunately the teaching style was not suitable for me — technical terms were used without clear explanation, and I struggled to follow the material.

I raised my concerns during week 2 (day 6) the trainer laughed at me. I immediately withdrew from the course as I felt I wasn't learning effectively. I am now being asked to pay the full outstanding balance despite not completing the training and not receiving the standard of education I expected.

I have tried to resolve this directly with the centre but we have not reached an agreement. I believe the service fell below the standard reasonably expected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Pros: Administrative staff were polite.
Cons: Training delivery not suitable for beginners; inflexible when raising concerns; billing dispute ongoing.Avoid this training centre.

Glenn is a legend! Great teacher and even greater taste in good music! He motivates and keeps the vibes up!

Very very happy with the training, teaching, and guidance I received here

I went through many courses before. And will defenitly say that Glenn is one of the best instructors that i Have had to date.
Did the short wallpaper intro course, was expecting it to be hard and struggle alot, Glenn made it easy and showed me alot of tips and trick through his Years of experience and now i really enjoy doing wallpaper. The overall experience was amazing and welcoming

I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to you and your team. The tutors here are truly exceptional—they are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and always go above and beyond to help every student understand and progress. Their dedication, kindness, and commitment make such a positive difference to the learning experience. I feel so lucky to be taught by such wonderful people, and I truly appreciate all they do. Thank you so much!

Your patience you have to teach is marvelous.

I started able skills with extremely little knowledge of any trade. After my 6 week handy man course, I learnt so much while building my confidence up. Would highly recommend for any one that wants to learn a multitude of trades.

All round good experience at Able Skills.
Booking process was smooth and efficient and was able to flex to my requirements.
Classrooms, infrastructure, routine and instruction was all to a high standard.
I came to the course through ELCAS, would highly recommend to anyone looking at this institution.

“I had a great experience with Able Skills Construction Training. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The instructions were clear, and the training was well organised and practical. I would definitely recommend Able Skills to anyone looking to improve their construction skills.”

Able skills set up is great, the different trades on offer is wide and the range of potential qualifications from introduction to NVQ level is extremely useful. I took a week long introduction in painting and decorating and have left the course in a more positive mindset to approach wallpapering and different painting jobs at home. Mark my instructor was very knowledgable and patient. Thanks

My entire experience in AbleSkills was truly wonderful, I did the Leve 2 &3 Electrical installation course, and I enjoyed every moment, i got to be around lot of amazing and motivating people. And the tutors were the best , George, Robert and John, they were truly brilliant and wonderful people, they showed so much care, patience and guidance. If you are considering AbleSkills look no further, this place is the best decision you can make

Finished my NVQ Level 2 plumbing and heating with Able Skills. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my assessor Matthew he helped me out a lot! Would recommend :)

Did my levels 2 and 3 electrical installation at Able Skills. All of the instructors I had were excellent. Robert did a fantastic job with level 2, keeping the more tedious parts light. John is a top bloke and he managed to get us to a high level of competency with the OSG. George was a superstar in getting us through the end of our level 2 and the entirety of level 3. I cannot stress enough how brilliant of an instructor he is, and I would gladly do any future training under him.

I have been training for/resitting exams at Able Skills for years now. It’s a very well set up training centre with very friendly and helpful staff.

Done my lvl2 electrical here. Will absolutely recommend. Our teacher was Keith Rush, very good teacher. Always helpful and gives all needed information and recommendations

Really enjoyed my time at Able Skills doing my Level 3. The course itself was good, but George Dumitrescu honestly made a massive difference to the whole experience.

He was patient, easy to learn from and never made anyone feel stupid for asking questions. If people were struggling with something, he would slow it down, explain it another way and make sure the whole class understood before moving on. That made a big difference, especially with some of the harder parts of the course.

You could tell he actually wanted everyone to pass and do well, rather than just rush through the syllabus. The atmosphere in the class was really good because of that.

Definitely one of the best tutors I’ve had and a big reason I’d recommend Able Skills to anyone thinking of doing their Level 3 there.
