I have loved studying with the AMC
I have loved studying with the AMC. I found the course the perfect balance between support and challenge. The self study modules were really interesting and informative and the assignments thought provoking and relevant. It was the mentoring phase, however, that has really prepared me for my new career. I was lucky to have a fabulous mentor in Arabella and found her advice invaluable. She was professional, encouraging and constructive in her feedback and I felt I could contact her whenever necessary. I feel fully equipped to now create beautiful, personal ceremonies for people.

Great bute sized video learning.
A very easy course to navigate on the whole once you get used to how it is laid out. Video training with real celebrants make the information easy to understand. Only thing I found strange was having to do all the self study module answers and not get them marked until you finished the last one.

AMC celebrancy course commendation
I have just successfully completed the AMC Funeral Celebrant course. This is a very well organised course, with fantastic personalised support and online input from very experienced, professional tutors and mentors. My personal mentor, Sarah Wickham, is particularly helpful and encouraging. Sarah gave me lots of very useful tips to help me improve my style, while reinforcing my own individual strengths. I have no hesitation in recommending AMC for its clear explanations, intuitive online resources (even for me, with my ITphobia), community approach and fantastic personal guidance; and I certainly recommend my terrific mentor, Sarah, though I'm sure they're all excellent.

My mentor made all the difference!
The website and the resources are comprehensive and accessible. I find distance learning, particularly watching videos, really challenging, and that made it trickier for me. Having a strong mentor, who was a good match for me, made all the difference. I learnt a lot, particularly around delivery and performing my script. My mentor Christine was generous with her time, knowledge and experience, and I am glad I persevered.

A great and interesting course.
I have found out so much through doing this course. I've loved doing the research and share this with friends and family, even if they don't want to hear it!
The course is well structured but you will need to be self motivated but the more effort you put in the more fun it will be.
You are well supported and the mentors really help you find your voice and give you the confidence through their honesty and fair comments and advice.

So glad I chose this course.
The self learning section was easy to fit around my work and life. The videos were easy to follow and the modules incredibly detailed.
The one to one tutor section was so helpful and it is here I started to lose my imposter syndrome!

My learning experience
My learning experience, throughout, has been first rate. I enjoyed the self-paced modules, the content is easy to follow I loved the fact that you can view the videos as many times as you want to. I also found that I could manage both the course and working full-time really well.
Working with my mentor, Sonal Dave, helped me enormously, learning first hand from her experience and constructive feedback has helped me to grow both in terms of developing new skills and also in increasing my own confidence in my abilities.

The AMC training was so good - I always felt supported (the private Facebook group is so helpful!) and I always got really good, constructive feedback from my mentor. It definitely took me out of my comfort zone but in the best possible way! I learned so much!

Funeral Celebrancy course
The self study part of this course really makes you consider all aspects of the industry and doesn't shy away from the difficulties faced. The mentor part is so supportive and encouraging, really building confidence through the last few steps. My mentor Arabella was truly wonderful, honest and refreshingly forthright.

The amount of support and guidance is just a click away for any kind of query. There are Zoom meetings every week for live question and answers which are invaluable. Plus my learning skills on computer tech has improved greatly with extra explanations from the tech support team too. It's been a very interesting and enlightening journey (which is still ongoing)!
