Went out every week with these and been nothing but problems. Just went out to the fireworks night, staff screaming nonsense at you with attitude, not let you back on the coach and then made us leave early so we couldnt even see the fireworks. Wont use them no more as happening more times then not. Driver tried to drive off on me while I was talking to him, actually shut the door in my face, seen I got mad and was right then re opened it but still bare face lied and said I was late when we still had 3 minutes. I seen staff even say they will be leaving you behind even though they are leaving early and making you miss the main event or part of what you payed for, in my case the fireworks championship. We should of all been refunded for that but I don't think they told there bosses they planned on leaving early and making us miss the hole thing which they did. I wanted to go back for the next one but wont be going as it will be the same thing. False advertising is what is happening as you don't get to see what you pay for. I will use the other company.

My husband booked a small mini bus to collect us after i had a major operation in the Liverpool area. Driver turned up 30 minutes late, unacceptable when your business is based around collecting customers on time. I appreciate there is traffic but set off earlier!! Not only did the driver keep me waiting to go home from hospital but the nurse and receptionist were delayed going home after working so hard.shame on you!! Also the mini bus was dusty with hair on the door and smelt heavily of dogs. Would not recommend or use again

I agree with Colette Marchesani’s review and add that at times we travelled for more than 3 hours without a break to get off the coach to stretch our legs. We were allocated a seat with restricted view so I asked the driver if we could change our seats as there were a lot of empty seats with views and I was told I could not!

Package to O2 Mama Mia.
Wow what a wonderful couple of days. We were a party of 3, mum & 2 daughters. Everything was straight forward and on time. Accommodation and food superb and the show sensational. A mention must go to the coach driver (Sy) who was so helpful and fun throughout the whole journey.

Booked a very expensive holiday with Acklams so you would expect the very best, wrong !

We were picked up from home by a very shabby van with no aircon on a very hot day.

We travelled by P & O ferry then boarded our coach to travel to our cruise on the Danube.

The coach was not very clean.
The toilet was dirty as was the toilet seat.
There was no running water in the sink.
Toilet paper ran out.
There was no music as the driver said it wasn’t working.
There was no bottled water offered on the entire journey and no snacks.
No commentary, driver only spoke to us when letting us know he was stopping for a break.
The engine was started at the back as ignition didn’t work ??
The engine whined and screeched for the whole journey, it was unbearable.

Complaints were made to Acklams on arriving at our cruise about the poor coach service etc and communication continued when we returned home.

Acklams have been very evasive and dismissive they think their coach was acceptable and told us to take further action with ABTA or anyone else we care to complain to as they believe that they have done nothing wrong !

Have travelled three times with Acklams and would not recommend travelling with this company ever again as the customer service is nil.

We used Acklams to visit the O2 to watch a concert. Was picked up early in a minivan, we arrived on time and had no issues. Also a big shout out to Richard who was exceptional, pleasant and couldn't do enough for all of us. (even though he is a Leeds fan.. LOL)
Definateley would use again, great experience.

Wish I’d read these reviews prior to booking with this company. They don’t respond to requests, ignore emails and complaints. will never use again.

We have nothing but praise for our driver,William,who was extremely pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately although it was a new coach, there was limited legroom which made the journey uncomfortable perhaps removing some seats would be a very good option for long journeys. There choice of hotel ie The Ocean View on the Isle of White should be reviewed because standards were poor.

Lovely holiday to isle of wight wiil our driver was great kept us well informed a nd very helpful the only negative was the coach hardly any legroom and i didnt have a window because of the ramp for wheelchairs they should inform you when you book seats and could do to remove some seats its the first time my knees have touched the seat in front and im only 5ft 2 ins

Further to my review on coach holiday Shropshire cruise and steam on 15.6.26.
I have been contacted by Tim regarding this review and he assured me with an apology that the feeder coach which was filthy and in a disgusting state would not be sent out to take passengers home again in that state. I accept his apology but do hope they stick to their word and never do this again. Maybe now is the time to let it drop and even book another holiday with them. We shall see

On time probably 8 times out of 10, with limited tracking availability (probably 7 times out of 10 the tracking is on). 2 stars because for the price I would expect more reliability.

Travelled to London and back for for a concert on one of the hottest days, air conditioning was inadequate to say the least. Driver informed us it could not be set any lower so not to ask him as there was nothing he could do! My seat was broken and would not remain in the upright position making it uncomfortable for myself and the passenger behind me. We informed him and he said it was ok that morning when he checked. I believe this to be a lie as two passengers had been on the same coach the day before and said it was like that yesterday. The coach had had to pick them up due to their original bus being involved in a collision! So this bus was a ‘back up’ . The driver called the company and was told to ‘ break’ the seat and proceeded to break the back off leaving metal exposed which he then taped over it and the base and back unsecured on the top of the metal base. If a couple of people had not turned up I don’t know where I’d have sat! The toilets were absolutely filthy and would not flush and as you can imagine on a long journey had been used. We did arrive in good time however I would never use this company again. This company does not have a way to leave reviews on their website either, I can see why now!

Coach journey to and from London for a concert.

The facilities provided were extremely poor considering the length of the journey and the cost of the trip. All power sockets were not working, the drink holders were broken, and the coach facilities were falling to pieces.

On the journey to London, the air conditioning was set to a low level but was barely noticeable. When this was raised with the driver, we were told there was nothing that could be done. Given that it was one of the hottest day of the year, the outdated air conditioning system was simply not adequate.

On the return journey, the opposite problem occurred. The air conditioning was on full, making the coach uncomfortably cold. Passengers requested that it be turned down, but these requests were ignored.

The toilet facilities were also unacceptable. They were dirty, would not flush, and there was no water available for hand washing, making them unusable. These facilities should have been checked and maintained throughout the journey.

Overall, the standard of the coach and its facilities was extremely disappointing. For such a long journey and the price paid, the condition of the coach was unacceptable, and I would have expected a much higher standard of comfort and maintenance as advertised on your website.

Wouldn't stop for 5 mins for something to eat and drink and have a toilet.very poor

Inexplicable driving from a minibus driver. Leaving only a yard of space to the car in front travelling the national speed limit. They employ dangerous drivers.

Day out at Chester Zoo, brilliant day out, food can be quite pricey but that is what you expect for places like this but we took our own in, Ollie (Oliver) our driver was lovely, let us know if any delays or slight detours, got us there and back in good time, very professional, booked a few times with Acklams over the years and although every driver has been great Ollie is the favourite, will be booking more days out/concerts with Acklams, brilliant company.

As another contributor has said. Coach back from a P&O cruise totally ruined by faulty air con system. Totally unacceptable on the hottest day of the year so far. My granddaughter is diabetic and this heat has made her bloods erratic. Coach falling apart in places too. Total mess up with disembarking times with people on same Coach having disembarking times after Coach should have left.

We are on an acklams coach used by intercruise for p and o. The coach heating will not turn off. On the hottest day of the year so far. The driver asked if we were using the overhead air-conditioning. Which we are. But that does not affect your legs. Everyone on the coach was too hot. Surely checks should be made and these things rectified before the coach goes out on a journey. I pity the poor people using this coach over the next few days. I

Me and my mum went to boundary mill on a day trip and we both like to thank Louise for taking us the driver she was lovely lady hope to meet her again

Had a lovely holiday with p&o cruises,this was our coach back from southampton to leeds/Bradford 16th May the driver had a horrible attitude and no customer service at all,i asked how many stops on way back...he replied ill be making 2 stops, its my coach and its upto me when i stop and for how long...i was only asking...he was also very miserable even other passengers were saying...looks like he doesnt want to go home or we may get home next week nearly 7hrs from Southampton puts me off using intercruise,better company and driver on route to coach.
