Adams Moving and Storage Reviews 

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. They promised a four man crew and brought two people that did not speak any English, so it was impossible to communicate with them throughout the entire move. My expensive furniture showed up completely damaged, they ended up putting a hole through my living room wall, and after they quoted me, it turned out to be almost double what they told me it was going to be and refused to unload the truck until I Zelled them the money. Once they were already in my home and had all the stuff packed up is when they did the bait and switch on me and had me pay double and there was really nothing I could do at that point. It is very clear that this company outsources the job to whoever is the lowest bidder and they pocket the difference and will not respond to any more questions you have after you sign the estimate quote. One of the happiest days with my family moving into our new home quickly turned into one of the most frustrating days.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM ADAMS MOVING AND STORAGE.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. The final price was substantially higher than the original quote. Dispatch lied to me multiple times and even tried to misrepresent things by saying, “As we discussed,” when those conversations never happened.

I was told a four-person crew would handle my move. Instead, only two people showed up—a father and his son. They constantly complained about having to disassemble my exercise equipment, even though dispatch had already confirmed that it would not be a problem.

The movers appeared lazy and careless with my property. They did not properly protect my furniture with plastic wrap. They used dirty moving blankets, dragged them through the road and grass, and then placed them against my belongings. They used a dolly inside my new home without asking permission and dragged items instead of handling them carefully.

My belongings and home were damaged during what should have been a basic household move. I have submitted a claim for four damaged items totaling more than $3,000.

From the misleading quote and dishonest communication to the understaffed crew and careless treatment of my property, the entire experience was unacceptable. Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend staying far away from Adams Moving and Storage.

Do not use this company Adam’s Moving & Storage. I hired them in April to complete a 35 mile move. At some point during the move I had spoken to various people Lorenzo, Natalia, Edgar and one or two other people. These people tried to extort me for an extra $600 after my 4 bedroom home was supposed to be delivered to my new address. They threatened to return my items to some warehouse and did not unpack my things until I got law enforcement on the phone. During the delivery, they deliberately damaged 4 pieces of my furniture and when I filed a claim for damages, which took months, they tried to offer me $42.00 for $950 worth of damages. Good thing for me, I recorded voice notes of this extortion and will now be filing a case in court. Save yourself the hassle and agony. Do Not Hire Adam’s Moving & Storage. You’re welcome.

Adam’s Moving & Storage is the WORST company! RUN AWAY FROM THIS MOVER.
The promise everything but deliver the absolute worst customer service. The delivery of my furniture / items was hell in relation to destroyed TV’s (2) 65” & 55” Samsung’s, that they actually packed. Broken High end Recliner, tape damage to leather furniture, broken and severely scratched teak dining table. Numerous China / glassware containers crushed and countless broken items. There’s so much more that they damaged. RUN, RUN, RUN AWAY. Don’t listen to their salesmen talking garbage!!

This company quoted me a moving cost based on what they said was square footage after doing two reviews of the move goods via Zoom. When the movers showed up, they quoted a rate that was double the quoted price on the day of the move. When I refused to sign the revised estimate, they abruptly left leaving me in a bad situation the day before closing on the sale of my property.

I'm not moving, but somehow they got my phone number. They spam my phone with texts every few days, starting May 12.

We requested three quotes for our move to compare pricing and professionalism, ultimately choosing Adams Moving and Storage. After an initial virtual walkthrough, we were quoted approximately $5,200.

Two days before the move, after we had already personally moved several items (backyard and garage) ourselves, they performed a "final" virtual walkthrough. Despite having less overall inventory to move (other than a few boxes and duffels), the price inexplicably jumped by $1,200. Because this happened 24 hours before our move date, we were backed into a corner and had no choice but to proceed. They changed the price without ever setting foot in our home.

The move team arrived at 11am to move a five-bedroom house an hour and a half away. I expressed my frustration to the lead, Mike, until I realized that he was not the same person that pulled the bait and switch pricing. The moving crew was okay. There was definitely on member that was more conscientious than the others. My wife had labeled the rooms at the new house and let them know where items were to go, which was agreed upon ahead of time. As the night went on, they put items wherever they wanted, generally downstairs. There was no attention to any markings on the boxes. So far we’ve had a broken oscillating fan, a teacup given to our daughter from her grandmother that has passed away as well as a handful of small items. There were loose items that they just crammed into a couple of large boxes that ended up getting bent/damaged.

I strongly advise avoiding this company.

0 Stars. This company (apparently a subsidiary of Transit Moving) is an absolute lie. They literally stole stuff from inside boxes. They destroyed plastic totes. There was not a single thing that came without damage. They lied and stole from us. And left us feeling violated with their awful practices. They have not answered any calls and we are having to file police reports and complaints with Attorney Generals in several different states because they literally stole and destroyed our items. Take it from someone who believed the “good” reviews, this is not a one off bad situation, this is how this company operates. They will screw you over every chance they get and make you pay them for the violation.

If you're considering Adams Moving or Transit Moving (because I'm convinced it's the same company), just save yourself thousands of dollars and skip to replacing everything. Adams/Transit took advantage of this being our first move in every possible way and kept trying to charge extra for fees covered in their fine print in spite of them being unnecessary and against the contract we signed. No amount of "savings" they promise will be worth it in the end because the only thing they're experts in is lying. The items that arrived were damaged, destroyed, and/or filthy. It didn't matter if we wrapped, bagged, or boxed it or if the movers did the packing or wrapping, it was damaged in some way, from furniture to art. A shelf had a bolt embedded in the side of it and chunks missing from the top, bottom, and sides. A tandem desk/bookshelf combo had irreparably broken feet and damaged the wall in the new place when the delivery guys tried to reassemble it. A shoe rack arrived annihilated into pieces and was left in the loading area by the delivery guys. Some items didn't arrive at all, like a floor lamp that we were told to keep the glass globe for by the guys loading the truck. So now we have a globe and no lamp. The worst part was that the contents of the boxes we packed were changed and items were taken out of them. It was done in a way that couldn't have possibly been an accident. Somewhere between pickup and delivery, someone had access to our stuff and took the time to go through, as an example, a plastic storage tote with a toolbox inside and took the more valuable and rare tools out of it. The same thing happened with boxed tools. An entire bag of tools was taken out and the box was re-taped with an entirely different kind of tape. They took chargers for a drill but left the drill so now it's unusable until we replace the cord. When we mentioned this to customer service, they assured us the warehouse had cameras, like that changed the fact that our items were removed from sealed boxes and totes and stolen. We haven't been able to talk to anyone at the company after getting the runaround about it. They left me on hold for over an hour to "connect me to a manager" before the call disconnected and they just sent me to voicemail on my attempts to call back. They've completey ghosted us after promising to investigate and more false promises about the possibility of our remaining items being found and delivered. I'm also convinced the positive reviews are bought. My experience defies their claim about not being a broker, too, with nothing but third parties and being passed off from company to company. Don't fall for the "stress-free" experience they advertise. It's been a nightmare. The things listed here are just a fraction of the issues. Find a reputable moving company because this isn't it.

This company under packed boxes so that they needed two trucks and double the fee. Items were packed loosely and without regard. The employees were rude and intimidating, only wanting more money, and even demanded a tip at the end of a horrible day. When items arrived, the boxes were WET. Items were thrown into a box, loose, and chairs/couch were stained and dirty. They didn't even put the bed together. Two men showed up to pack and load and only one person to unload. I do not want anyone else to suffer the poor service of this company. I will never never use them again and in fact I will write bad reviews as often as possible to warn others. These people are not to be trusted with your belongings. They will steal your money. Beware!

I has a great experience with this company, everything went smooth and on schedule, highly recommend them!

I was told this was going to be a 2 day move from Houston to Dallas, which would be reasonable. The guys finish up packing at 4 pm on Thursday and I am told that they are moving everything up, same day. I told them that isn’t what I was told multiple times (I have it in writing) and they told me if I didn’t move it the same day I wouldn’t get my stuff until Sunday. I had 10 minutes to get everything I needed in order to drive up to Dallas since I was not preparing to move same day. I agree since I could not wait until Sunday to have access to literally everything I own. They show up to Dallas at 9PM and don’t finish the move until 12:30 AM and that is with my help. Things were moved into the wrong room and not put together correctly. The one thing they did well was pack everything up originally.

Terrible Experience with this company
I recently used Adam's Moving & Storage for a Local Move and it was a horrible experience.
In addition to the terrible service, when I told them bookshelf's were in the wrong room, they just ignored me and walked away, they assured me they could move my piano and put it on the second floor, but the guys were not prepared for this when they showed up and they just put it on the first floor, when I spoke to them about it they didn't respond, then the office called and said they guys can't do that. But I disclosed and they assured me that they could and their response was well, we can't. So now on top of paying them for a job they didn't complete I have to hire another company and pay them to move the piano.
When I told them what a terrible experience I had and asked how they planed on making the situation right, they said weren't going to, end of story.
I'm also missing several framed photographs and the damaged the legs of my kitchen table.

Absolutely Terrible Experience!
I recently used Adam's Moving & Storage for a Local Move and it was a horrible experience.
I had labeled every box with the floor and room the boxes went in and they just dumped everything wherever they wanted, most of the boxes they just dumped on the first floor and I had to carry up myself.
Several plastic storage containers were just tossed and then fell over and the lids came off and everything spilt out.
I did a video call before the move and they not only had an itemized list of everything they were moving but actually saw it and assured me this was a one trip move... it was not and then I had to pay extra for a second trip.
They also promised me 4 guys and 2 showed up, so the move took longer, and paying by the hour, this mistake was at my expense as well.

I had them show up and move me. Everything went good until they lost some of my stuff when I was talking to the guy he said oh you don’t need insurance. We never lose stuff. That was my bad. Don’t trust anybody these people are far and away the worst, I would never use them ever again and if you’re smart, you’ll go on and find another moving company also don’t let them talk you out of getting insurance it was my bad for believing the guy who is handling my move

2. were fast, professional, and so very helpful
3. they had a written process which, as a project manager myself, made a good impression
4. they didnt exceed the quote that they gave me

My move with Adams Moving and Storage was smooth overall. The movers came prepared, packed the truck neatly, and made sure nothing was damaged during the trip. I appreciated the way they stayed focused until the job was done.
