Recently used this brokerage. They charged 9K for the move from KY to GA. The truck was too small and had to leave behind a significant amount of furniture (Had to have my brother make trips to KY to get it). They showed up in a Rental Truck and said it was the largest truck they had. Then they refused to unload the truck until they were paid in full (note they took half up front). After they unloaded the truck there was damage to multiple pieces of furniture but since they just dumped everything in the new place the damage was not noticed until after they left. This is a warning to everyone who is moving do not use this company they are terrible and take no responsiblity for the companies they subcontract to.

4 weeks and the truck hasn't even left the pickup state!! I've been sleeping on an air mattress for over a month and they haven't even started heading out to me. What a horrible company. I've called multiple times and sent an email, management is radio silent.

I was happy with how quickly and efficiently the crew worked. They wrapped everything well and didn’t damage a thing. It made the move way less stressful.

Great experience with this moving company. The team was punctual, professional and handled all my belongings with great care.

The movers of Adams Moving and Storage was very accommodating. For the peace of mind knowing my belongings were in good hands, it was definitely worth the investment.

I had the worst experience with this moving company. They initially gave me a reasonable quote, but once they had my belongings loaded, they jacked up the price with hidden fees and bogus charges, leaving me no choice but to pay more than agreed.

To make matters worse, after unpacking, I realized that several of my items were missing, including a backpack and expensive perfumes. When I contacted them about the theft, they were dismissive and refused to take responsibility. Their customer service is useless, and they don’t seem to care about resolving issues.
Anthony Hernandez is big liar in this company. Do not trust him.
This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and unethical. If you value your belongings and your peace of mind, stay far away! I wish I had read more reviews before hiring them. Learn from my mistake—go with a reputable company instead.

I had several fragile pieces to move, including glassware and a large mirror, and everything arrived intact. The team packed everything securely and worked carefully throughout the move.

I recently moved across town, and Adam Moving and Storage was amazing. they arrived on time, worked quickly, and handled all my belongings with care.

Very pushy and will harass you until you submit a deposit. Address on their website does not appear to exist, or at least they do not have a physical location. Be very cautious.

I hired 3 brothers to move me on July 27, 2024. Another moving company showed up called Adams Relocation. They insisted that I leave certain items behind since I was informed they were not covered by their insurance, which were my 6-drawer dresser, 3 drawer sm dresser, a tall bookshelf, 2 TV stands, and the TVs (55 and 32 in), a rolling desk, my washer and dryer, and my rug (not all of my items were on the moving list created by 3 brothers and that caused another issue), and since they were not listed at all or incorrectly I was charged almost double. The movers lied to 3 brothers and told them I had a jewelry armoire that they could not move but no such item existed; I have witnesses that were there when the movers did this. They were supposed to deliver my items to another storage unit on August 24, 2024. I called them days before to confirm since no one had reached out to me to even resolve the items they left behind the first time. The supervisor insisted I meet them Thur night or I was told my items would be left on the road at the storage unit with or without me being there. I arranged another unit to meet them on Saturday as previously arranged and was then cursed out by the supervisor, again threatening to now keep my items on the truck until I paid the balance right away. Nowhere was it disclosed that payment was required before they finished moving my stuff. Since this event neither company will respond to calls or emails to offer any resolution to all the problems. Since I have been able to go through some of my items, I had to file with the insurance for items destroyed in the move and items stolen (MAC makeup case and several Victoria's Secret bras), which is not covered by the insurance, so I will be filing a civil matter to try to recover any of my financial losses. These companies should be shut down and should not continue to get away with treating people this way and lying and ripping them off and now there's theft. This has been a nightmare for me

Pros:
I asked for the pick up date for 8/13 and the only positives to this experience, my belongings were picked up on my requested date. Alfonso, Rocky, and Gilbert handled my belongings carefully and were very polite.

My belongings were stored at a warehouse in Tacoma from 8/13 until 8/31. I spoke to my representative, Phillip, several times throughout this waiting period. I was told the person who was going to pick up my belongings had a family emergency. It took another week to get the following update…

8/31, I received a call from Vanessa, (I could be mistaken on her name) telling me my belongings were picked up and the driver would be here no later than 9/5. Most likely on 9/3 but no later than 9/5.

I get a call from Eddie, the driver on 9/4, saying our belongings would be delivered on 9/5 from 10-4pm. I received a follow up call from Phillip, confirming this. I received another call from Eddie at 2:31PM, stating that the truck broke down in Phoenix and he has no idea when I will get my belongings.

At this point, I call the office immediately after speaking to Eddie. I was patient throughout this process, kind, and understanding. At this point, I am no longer being patient.
Brian answered the phone and wouldn’t let me speak to Phillip. He had no idea the “truck broke down in Phoenix.”
Phillip calls me back, says he understands my frustration. It’s over one hundred degrees in Phoenix. My belongings are now at the mercy of Eddie, who was lying the entire time about the truck being broken down.

How do I know this?

Multiple GPS devices that are in my belongings.

He said the truck was broken down in Phoenix, he was in Eloy.

Somehow the truck managed to travel from Eloy, to midtown Phoenix (7th Ave and Osborn, to Tolleson all day, after he told me it was broken down.

I texted Eddie this morning, he lets me know the truck will be ready this afternoon, my delivery will be here tomorrow, with a damn thumbs up emoji. I told him, no, rent a uhaul and get my stuff to me today. He said, call the office.

I spoke to Brian before Eddie’s text about advising me to call the office. Brian refused to let me speak to Phillip, or anyone that is actually a manager.

Brian tells me basically that they only can go off the information they get from the driver. I let him know about the tracking devices in my belongings and the fact that Eddie travelled to several cities AFTER he said the truck was broken down. He tells me, maybe his truck was broken down….? I said, what are you even talking about? I explained it to him again. He has no answer as to how a broken down truck can travel from city to city. I told him either he is lying to me, or Eddie is lying, and I need to know what the situation actually is.
He asks me for Eddie’s number, I give it to him, and he says, “yes, that’s the right contact information!” I ask why did he want his contact information if he already has it on file? He told me in case I didn’t have it. I said, what are you EVEN talking about, I told you three times that Eddie had texted me. He says, hold on the phone please while I call him.
He comes back to the line and says that he tried calling him three times. Meanwhile, EDDIE TEXTED ME AND TOLD ME TO CALL THE OFFICE after I said get a uhaul and bring me stuff today.

I told Brian that he texted me so that’s interesting and told him to call again. He calls again and magically can’t get a hold of Eddie.
I told Brian I am at a point I am going to get my own damn uhaul and get my stuff myself. He tells me I’d still have to pay my remaining balance…which is a little under $1300.
Hahaha, wow.

UPDATE: BBB complaint filed. Apparently, my review is slander so I have to edit my review....although I have receipts to prove everything I said was accurate. Why would I lie and waste time?
So let me update with even MORE lies they told to provide further accuracy in my experience....

I received my items on Saturday, when I was told Thursday was the latest arrival time.
Eddie the driver told me he doesn't even work directly with Adams Moving and Storage and he is just a third party! We had to use my father's trailer to get the stuff to my home. AM&S claims that we were offered a shuttle. THAT IS A LIE. They also claim I should have been charged an extra $450 for extra labor but the driver (that isn't employees by them) did it for free. They also claimed their records state that I was satisfied with my experience. That is ANOTHER LIE. Phillip said he would escalate my situation and I have not heard anything back from anyone, except their BBB response that included more lies. Phillip offered me $100 to not post a negative review in return for my horrible experience....wow.

LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT MOVING COMPANY. They are all liars.

They LIE! When you first talk to them, you will think you stuck gold and found the best movers ever. It goes down hill from there. They lied about free storage, they lied about why the truck was delayed, they lied about helping bring things into the house. They don't care about you or your stuff. They left 3 boxes that weren't mine and when I first called the driver about it, he told me to KEEP THEM! They're horrible. Go elsewhere.

I strongly advise against using this company. Our experience with their customer service has been abysmal, particularly concerning the handling and delivery of our belongings. Communication regarding delivery timelines has been inconsistent, and we have received conflicting information on how to contact the delivery driver. Additionally, the company requested that we remove our reviews in exchange for compensation. I cannot emphasize enough: please avoid this company.

This company will sell you lies! We were making a move from Texas to Ohio. We were told our belongings would be at our destination “FORSURE” by Sunday 7/14/24 “NO LATER THAN” Monday 7/15/24 if a deposit was placed the day we called (7/10/24) so we placed our deposit that day. We called on 7/13/24 to ensure plans were solidified and to get time estimations. The manager then tells that our delivery “is safe in storage (in Texas) and will arrive in 5–10 days”. There was no compassion or empathy whatsoever for our frustration! We were guaranteed one thing when they took our money and now we are out of our money, have none of our belongings, and have no idea when a delivery will happen. I do not recommend this company if you are looking for reliability. They lied to us and they will lie to you.

This company is not honest. I got a call from Jonathan and was advised they have a truck going out this weekend from Houston (7/11) and they can get us in for delivery to Ohio. We asked all the necessary questions to confirm time of pickup and estimated delivery. He said the drivers can only drive 500 miles a day - understood!  They picked the items up Friday at 9AM. Jonathan said your items will be there SUNDAY, no later than MONDAY. I called on Saturday just to check on delivery status, location of the driver...I was advised that drivers doesn't get dispatched until Monday or Tuesday and your items will not get there for another 5-10 days.

I was mislead by Jonathan. The money was paid on Wednesday to "secure" our spot, per Jonathan we will miss the weekend cutoff for delivery if we did not "act now". 

Drivers arrived on Friday morning, cash only was paid, per Jonathan. Today is Sunday, my items are in a warehouse "safe" in Houston. THIS IS VERY UPSETTING.

The reason why we went with this company was because of the reviews  "Fake Reviews" and the advice  of Jonathan confirming the reliability of the process. All BS*, all lies. Be honest with customers, if you don't know, do not give dates and times and guarantees.

Did not answer their phone on the day of our move and then TEXTED us that they had Cancel after they were unresponsive and already 2 hours late. Completely screwed our flight and moving plan

Horrible experience. Watches and grandfather's wedding ring were stolen. Numberous items were damaged. Strangers pilfered through all our boxes. My golf cart was dented, the seat was ripped and the windsheild was cracked. Moving bid was $4,800. After half the truck was half loaded they told me it was going to be $7,800. It ended up being $8,200. They told me on May 6th delivery would not be until between the 15th and 20th. I canceled my flight for teh 7th. They then called me on the 8th telling me the truck was deliverying on the 9th and if I was not there to receive it would be another 15 to 30 days. I booked a flight that day and paid a 250% premium. Repair to golf cart estimate was $2,877. Stolen watches and damaged goods were in the thousand$$$. Granfather's ring was priceless. After 8 to 10 hours collecting repair bids, finding website links to justify replacement costs of items stolen and filling out all their paper work, they offered me $500 total. Please do not use these people or you will be sorry and call me if you have any questions. Dewey Davis (425) 830-2733.

DO NOT use this company. I had the worst experience with them. I spoke with their moving specialist Anthony and he convinced me to go with them by stating that they do not charge extra once they come out because we would FaceTime and he would see everything I had to move so the quote would be accurate!! When the mover did come out I did have 14 more boxes than the original quote and 2 suit case and because if that they charged me $2000.00 extra. When I asked to speak to the supervisor he basically said that’s how it is and to deal with it!! Now I get that they charge by cubic feet and not the number of items but you can’t tell me that 14 boxes and 2 suit cases it 322 extra cubic feet that my original quote. Then the movers turned my entertainment center that has a fire place in it upside down and I paid them extra to box up my 70 inch tv and all they did was shrink wrap it and stand it up in the truck and strap it down with a ratchet strap!!
Then I was also told by Anthony that my stuff would be delivered on the 24th of April. But when I called to double check delivery they said they had no idea when my stuff would be delivered and just kept telling me they needed more time to work on it! I was also told that Anthony with have never told me a specific date to which I said then pull the phone calls and check to which they said they would of course never did or if they did they heard what he said and just didn’t care!! Took them 2 weeks to deliver my stuff and I only moved from CO to Vegas so it’s not that far! I asked to speak with Anthony as he was the one I worked with and they refused to let me once they had my stuff and were holding it hostage and stated I would have to only go through customer service now that my items were picked up!! That’s pretty crappy that we wouldn’t let me speak to the person that made all these promises to me! My advice, find a different moving company!!

Communication from customer service was on top of everything during entire process. Movers were professional, helpful, and hard working. Everything was handled quickly and smoothly. Would definitely use this company again and highly recommended to friends.

I would like to start off by saying that we all have bad experience moving , sometimes things do get there as they should two things I notice about Adams , first they were on time getting there and dropping of my stuff it was 5 weeks before my wedding , and second I was rushing to wrap my things with news paper when Anthony Hernandez started helping me now I know that's not his job but he still did it and am thankful my fiance was at a business meeting and I was very overwhelmed that it took a load of , my things were not damage and when dropping off my belonging I loved the fact they placed everything in one side of the house not like other. Companies that leave things where ever there's space my experience over all was great and honestly I do recommend them. I hope this helps ppl that might be going through the same thing.
