Former Client Considering Next Level Support

This testimony is written as a former Adoutreach client/student and one considering returning for next level support.

Being an Adoutreach client/student 3 years ago was a wonderful experience. The care, attention and support was stellar and boy did I need it! When I became ill during my training they gave me some time to recover and actually sent me a get well card!

There was so much I thought I knew but didn't. I can't imagine how much time and money it could have costed me trying to go at it alone.

After I signed up for a Webinar the company offered Aaron reached out to make sure I recieved my FREE downloads. He also asked if I would like to receive next level support. We spoke on Zoom and he was more than happy for me to bring my husband in on the discussion. He took so much time answering our questions, sharing insights and company updates. Checking the Stats of the Year with Dave Leek

Working with Dave Leek and the Ad Outreach clinics has helped our YouTube channel gain 4,775 new subscribers, and over 4 million organic impressions in one year. Dave has been essential in developing a winning high level strategy while also sharing valuable know how in the video production process, which saves me production time. His first hand organic content creation experience is clear, and his insights and decision making process has been a wonderful positive influence. A painful mismatch in expectations…I truly wish my experience had matched all the positive reviews

I’ve never written a negative review for a services company in my entire life, and I have a genuinely heavy heart writing this one. I can see that AdOutreach has many positive reviews and many clients who seem to have great experiences. I’m happy that’s true for them. But my own experience turned out very different, and I want to share it honestly, so others go in with clear expectations.

I invested roughly $10,000 over about three months because I believed I was buying a done-for-you program with strong strategic guidance — including a promised 1-on-1 strategy call with Aleric as a fast-action bonus. I was launching YouTube ads for the first time, filled with fear and trepidation, and I really trusted that AdOutreach — and Aleric in particular — would guide me through the process.

Unfortunately, that 1-on-1 call never happened, despite several attempts to request it. That alone was deeply disappointing, because it was a major reason I enrolled quickly.

My biggest challenge was the gap between what I thought I was buying (done-for-you) and what I actually experienced (done-by-me with coaching). Had I known this upfront, I truly believe none of this would have happened.

Here’s what I personally experienced:

1. Much of the course content felt outdated.
A lot of the “click here / click there” instructions didn’t match today’s Google Ads or Tag Manager interfaces. I often ended up turning to Google’s own support or YouTube videos for more accurate guidance.

2. The support model left me stuck for days at a time.
Whenever I needed help, I had to book a coaching call that was usually 3–4 days away. I’d sit stuck, unable to move forward, or spend hours trying to teach myself things I thought the program would handle for me.

3. The “Done For You” components didn’t feel done for me at all.
The video editing portion was extremely disappointing. They assigned my project to what appeared to be a junior editor, and later even outsourced another editor through Upwork, who also seemed inexperienced.

The B-roll they delivered included irrelevant footage — for example, a clip of someone buying painkillers at a pharmacy to illustrate “business pain”… even though my company does B2B messaging and not consumer health. The edits were so off-base that I eventually went elsewhere and paid out of pocket for replacement video editing.

Communication felt layered and fragmented: my notes had to pass through multiple people before reaching the editor. It was slow, messy, and kept producing unusable results.

4. The GoHighLevel platform situation felt misleading.
I was led to believe I would be able to use the platform for around $1/month going forward. What I didn’t understand was that the only reason it was $1 was because it was included under their agency umbrella — and only if I continued paying several thousand dollars per month.

When I stopped their monthly service, the GoHighLevel fee jumped to ~$297/month. I ended up ripping everything out and rebuilding my funnel under a different agency’s GoHighLevel account at a tiny fraction of that price. That added a huge amount of work and frustration I never expected.

5. The entire experience felt like being put into a large, scaled machine.
This is hard to explain, but instead of feeling guided, it felt like I had been dropped into a factory system that was optimized for volume — not for personal support. I don’t doubt that Aleric has genuine expertise, but I never felt that expertise touch my project. And that was heartbreaking, because I truly wanted to learn from him.

How it felt overall:
I don’t believe anyone at AdOutreach intends harm. Everyone I interacted with was polite and well-meaning. But I walked away feeling let down, confused, and honestly heartbroken. I put so much trust and hope into this experience, and instead I felt left to fend for myself.

Maybe I simply bought the wrong program for my needs. But based on how it was presented to me — especially the done-for-you positioning and the promised strategy call — I walked away feeling bruised financially and emotionally.

I’m sharing all of this not to attack AdOutreach, but because I wish someone had written a review like this before I signed up. I think this program may be a good fit for people who want a do-it-yourself model with coaching. But if you’re expecting something closer to “we do this for you,” I strongly recommend asking very direct questions upfront.

I truly wish my outcome had matched the glowing reviews. I wanted it to. Honestly, I still feel sad about how it all turned out.

Between June 27 and September 15, you had a total of 22 Zoom calls with our team - more than any other client during that time.

That includes:
-Weekly check-in calls with your dedicated Client Services Manager
-1:1 coaching with our ads and tech specialists
-Hands-on troubleshooting and custom setup support (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Zapier integrations, domain setup, Mailchimp sync, conversion tracking, and more)

Even before you officially enrolled as a client, we provided you with a 1:1 Ad Strategy call with our Senior Ads Coach to help you reactivate an inactive Google Ads account (so you could continue advertising on Google despite the suspension on your primary Google Ads account).

We also scheduled bonus calls outside normal business hours when needed, fast-tracked deliverables at your request, and created a standing weekly call to ensure you always had a clear path forward.

When you flagged concerns about the initial video ad, we took that seriously. Our team incorporated your feedback and also hired (and paid) a third-party editor to create a custom version that matched your vision.

Those revisions went above our standard scope, but we made them because we genuinely wanted you to be proud of the creative and move into launch with confidence.

As for your ads and funnel launch: we worked with you closely through that process, including the setup of a brand-new offer and cold traffic funnel.

After your MVP campaign launched, we continued supporting you through optimization - helping reduce your CPL, improve opt-in rates, and guide next steps like A/B testing headlines and refining the form fields on your page.

When we identified conversion bottlenecks, we were transparent about it and helped you take clear action.

Regarding the Fast Action Bonus strategy call with Aleric - this wasn’t something we were withholding. Our team was working to get your funnel and ads live first, so that call could deliver the most value. We regret that we didn’t reach that milestone before you requested to exit the program.

Regarding CoPilot access (our white-labeled version of GoHighLevel): we provided access during your active engagement at the $1/month client rate, as clearly outlined on the CoPilot sign-up page. This tool is optional, and it’s not marketed as a permanent standalone offer. After launch, ongoing access is available at our alumni rate of $297/month - which is very clearly disclosed at the time of sign-up for CoPilot.

Greg, we sincerely regret that things didn’t land the way we intended. We wish you the very best in the next chapter of your business.

Sales guy asked for a $500 refundable…

Sales guy asked for a $500 refundable deposit in exchange for a sample video script. Reasonable. After we decided to go elsewhere, the salesperson ghosted us and did not return the deposit. Ended up having to contest it with Amex.
Strange way to build customer trust.
