If I could give this company a zero, I would. I placed an order on June 12th. Shortly after, I read several concerning reviews, so I immediately called to cancel the order. During that call, I also requested that any subscriptions be cancelled.

The order itself was promptly cancelled, but in July and August I was still charged $29.99 each month. I emailed the company and was told their policy is not to refund subscriptions. I responded right away, reminding them that I had requested cancellation of both the initial order and any subscriptions. I again asked for a refund, but received no reply.

At that point, I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. I also tried calling the number I had originally used in June (here you go: (833)-834-1314). The first call was disconnected when I received another call, but the company actually called me back—only to hang up. When I called again, they hung up a second time.

Ultimately, the dispute was processed, and the company issued a single refund on the same day. I had to remind them that the charges were for two months, not one. I also again requested written confirmation that ALL subscriptions had been cancelled and no further charges would occur.

Their communication is terrible, their practices are shady, and dealing with them has been nothing but frustrating. Please, don’t buy from this company.

Had an additional payment of £23 taken out of my account for a subscription I didn’t sign up for. I have requested a refund and have also contacted my bank to stop any further unauthorised payments.

Bought item although good will not buy again as they are now trying to take 29.99 from my account for a subscription I never signed up for!!! Luckily my bank caught it and asked me to verify - now have to wait for new card to arrive - beware of this company very dodgy

I bought what I though was a one off product. Appears its a subscription you are not made aware of this and will be hiy with £23 comimg out of your account and will not be refunded . AVOID THIS COMPANY, ITS JUST A SCAM !!!

SCAMMERS Charged me an extra $47 for a fake subscription, took me several emails of threatening them that I will take this to authorities and the news stations before they agreed to refund me. SCAMMERS! I kept asking what does this subscription give me? No answer!!! They offered me a gift card, then 30% refund, then 40% refund, then finally gave me full refund.

This company is a scam. Like others have indicated, I continue to get charged $29.99. I sent them a cancellation and told them I didn’t sign up for a subscription. I just got charged again today, so I’m waiting on the charge to move out of pending and I’m disputing the charge with Chase. Buyer beware because they are literally stealing your money!

I asked for my order to be cancelled within an hour of ordering, as they give you 24 hours to cancel. They sent a reply asking for information that I sent with the original email. I sent another email pointing out I had already sent them the information. 12 hours later they again replied with the same info request (basically the same email they sent the first time). so i emailed them telling them they are just stalling. The next email I received was to tell me it had been sent. Buyer beware it is also being shipped from China.

Be careful — the company automatically added a subscription service I did not request. Even after I asked for it to be canceled, I was still charged again. Very disappointed with the lack of resolution.

Avoid this company! After ordering you will start being charged for some sort of subscription service that you wont have signed up for. No answer about it from the customer service. They claim you have signed up for it. I ended.up flagging the extra payments through my bank as an unrecognised charge. Just awaiting the outcome of this. Be warned

Thieving company , don't use , took extra payment without permission. Have been. Reported to the higher authorities.

I have been conned ! Beware this is a bogus company. Set up an automatic subscription which I did not agree to . Have removed money from my account and I have nothing to show for it . I have contacted my credit card company and they are investigating these crooks . DO NOT BE CONNED !

The product is quite good, but the hidden subscription is unacceptable and it is against the consumer protection laws that requires transparency and explicit consent for recurring charges. Apparently the the subscription box may be pre-selected at checkout?! In addition, please note that this subscription does not include a physical item, but instead provides access to these service-based benefits…. A company that behaves like that needs to be avoided at any cost.

Be aware I have experienced unauthorised payments to this company after purchase of their african net sponge for a bogus subscription $29.99 for absolutely no service or product that i did not ask or sign up for contacted my bank to cancel my card its a shame as the product was good

I am going to repeat what others have said.
There is a surprise "subscription" added to your order. It does not show on your order review and where it does show, it shows a cost of $0. A month later, they will charge you $29.99 for a subscription that is the privilege of getting emails...no additional product. If this is the product you want, get it from somewhere else.

Stay away from this company!! They are thieves!! They have been taking extra payments from my account without my consent and authorisation. Upon further investigation this appears to be some bogus membership scheme that I categorically did not sign up to. I have reported them to my credit card providers fraud department. Do not order from these people!!!

Like multiple customers have reported, I was charged recurring fees for a subscription I did not knowingly sign up for after purchasing products from Afroscrub. The charges, are $29.99 per month, and automatically added to orders during checkout, that turns into a paid subscription. I was not informed about the subscription during the purchase process and only discovered the charges when their bank statements showed recurring debits.

If I could give negative stars I would. I attempted to leave my review on their page but they don’t publicize their 1 star reviews. Order took over 5 weeks and when I tried to cancel/void after 2 weeks, the only response I got was that it was in transit. THEN, I received a recurring $29.99 “subscription” fee for the “ Premium VIP Support & Early Access to New Product Launches”, that was automatically added to my original order for $0.00. Nowhere does it say there is a $29.99 recurring charge for this. And no description of what it even is. The whole experience has been anything BUT VIP. Very deceptive business model. When I emailed to cancel and request a refund, they replied telling me my subscription was cancelled and I would no longer be charged $29.99. They did not process the refund request. They have 3 sites that I can find and the product comes from China, not Africa. What a joke.

DO NOT PURCHASE from them. This is a scam. I ordered over a month ago and still have not received the product, yet they charged me for a subscription I NEVER signed up for in addition to a foreign service fee. Trying to get in contact with them for a refund is impossible. SCAM BEWARE!

The item is good .
However they scammed me, saying I signed up for a month's free subscription on product update information, I did not!.
I emailed them when I saw the £23 pending in my bank account exactly a month after my first and final purchase. They offered me a 20% goodwill refund. Currently in dispute with them and fraud team from my bank are looking into it . My bank refunded me.
