I can’t recommend AHK Flooring highly enough. Although they only supplied the flooring for my project, the service I received from Ayman and the team was exceptional from start to finish.
They were incredibly knowledgeable and helped me choose the right product with clear, honest advice. Their pricing was very competitive, and I felt completely confident in the quality of what I was purchasing.
What really sets them apart is their customer care. They kindly stored my flooring for almost 18 months until I was ready for it, which went over and above what I would ever expect. Professional, accommodating, and genuinely helpful throughout.

Superb - start to finish.
AHk arranged home inspection visit in 24 hours , offered various options in under lay and carpet offered , all measurements made, complete and accurate quote given on the spot.
Fitters came to install with a week , installed new and removed old carpets in 3 rooms all in about 6 hours no fuss and did a flawless job.

From the day we contacted them , they answered our call quickly , came quoted for free for carpets and laminate . on the day of installation fitters came they were very polite and efficient finished their work neat and tidy . would definitely recommend and we are going to use them when our other rooms are ready .

Quick Step Uniclic laminate flooring is designed to click together. The manufacturer does not indicate that glue should be used in the pack instructions but some fitters use glue and some don't.

The advantage of the boards being clicked together without glue is that they can fairly easily be disassembled and re-assembled if there is any damage to the floor. A disadvantage of this method is that the boards may slightly move apart after a number of years, leaving an unsightly gap.

If glue is applied, the boards will hold firmly together for a longer time but if there is any damage to the floor, the whole floor may have to be taken up and disposed of. There is an obvious cost and inconvenience implication here.

In our case, we had no choice between glued or unglued as the fitters had already glued a quarter of the floor before they told me that this was the method they always used and swore by.
When damage did occur, the floor could not be unclicked and a less-than-ideal stop-gap solution had to be put in place.

The moral of this story is that as a customer of AHK Flooring, you must make an informed decision about glue or no glue before the fitters start work, and then take responsibility for it. To glue or not to glue - that is the question. It's not an easy one!

The owner did his very best to put the situation right and even paid for the costs of investigation and repair. In fact, I chose his company in the first place even though his quote was £200 more expensive than a competitor floor company, because he came across very well and deserves a higher rating. But all things taken into consideration, this rating is nearer the mark.
