Had a delivery to my friends house in UK and they are bringing it over to Canada for me. Purchasing from Alans was a great and easy experience. If my wife allows to to buy more parts :) I’ll be buying again from Alan’s.

Keep it BMX

Was like the only retro bike shop left in the world. At least an online shop. An extensive range of the classics we grew up with, I acquired parts I’ve now been using for nearly 4 decades in good working order.

Has a one to one service experience.

Purchased a brand-new BMX bike for my son and was disappointed to find that it arrived with cosmetic damage to the rim. When purchasing a new product, I believe it is reasonable to expect it to arrive in new condition, free from visible marks or damage.

To their credit, the retailer responded promptly and offered either a 10% discount or a return and refund. However, neither option felt like a satisfactory resolution. Returning the bike would have meant disappointing my son after he had already received it, while the discount did not, in my view, adequately reflect the condition of the product on arrival.

What was most disappointing was the overall customer experience. The focus seemed to be on supplier margins and internal processes rather than resolving the issue from the customer’s perspective. As a customer, my contract was with the retailer, and I expected the product to match the condition advertised.

Having since looked at previous customer feedback, I was concerned to see similar complaints regarding bikes arriving with cosmetic damage. This left me feeling that my experience may not have been an isolated incident.

Unfortunately, despite several discussions, we were unable to reach a resolution that I felt was fair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing a new bike from this retailer without carefully inspecting the condition upon arrival.

Josh and Otto at the Wigan store were really lovely. I came in looking for help with my pedal bike as the seat was too low. Despite it not being a BMX they still got straight to work with getting the tools and changing the height for me. They were super friendly and made me feel at ease. I was nervous about going in because I’m not really a bike rider, I just use it to go to work and back. But they were excellent. Absolutely recommend 10/10. Thank youuuu :)

i ordered a complete one piece crank set and i ordered some pedals for my raleigh burner mk2 and i couldnt be happier with the service and the products,and it was a quick delivery i would recommend shopping here for bmx parts great stuff.

Unreliable. Ordered a bike for 570 pounds. After a week of the purchase still crickets. I contact them to see if they received the order. Next day they get back to me and said the bike I purchased is not in stock. Now only God knows when I'm getting the money back.

They don't update the website so I wouldn't recomment to buy in this shop.

Electro hip hop wouldn’t be right without BMX and Alan‘s BMX has helped to make that happen with my new purchase. Well pleased with the parts and will continue using! no messing about fast delivery polite people.

Recently spent a small fortune at Alansbmx. The team have been really helpful with deliveries and helping to source the parts I need for my builds. Great selection of old and new school bmx parts. It's my main go to bike shop now.

Rang to ask about particular brands and availability for our two boys - I'm a very keen cyclist, but no knowledge of BMX as I ride on road.

This was a first class experience: an excellent BMX was proposed, and from the helpful advice and polite enthusiasm, it was a done deal! As a cyclist, I will always try to support a genuine shop, and this was first class treatment!

This was the first time our boys have used their own money to purchase a bike, and they were over the moon today when the parcels arrived a day early!! Two very happy riders!!

We received a bike with a faulty back break. I rang them up and asked what we should do, thinking they'd maybe offer a replacement or to pay for it to be fixed. However, the guy on the phone basically didn't believe me and was quite rude with how he spoke to me, offering no apology. He demanded that a mechanic speak to them about it, so we went and got it sorted and confirmed by a mechanic. They eventually agreed to pay £25 for the breaks to be fixed as a good will gesture but wouldn't pay for any additional set up costs. That's fine as I realise they advise for it to be set up professionally but this doesn't excuse the fact that they sent a faulty item which ended up ruining a child's birthday and were very unhelpful and rude about resolving the issue. The back breaks were already attached and had nothing to do with how the bike was set up which was confirmed by 2 mechanics, yet they tried to blame us for the fault. Buy from this company with caution- if there are any issues or faults they will do all they can to get out of helping!

Having been out of bmx for 40 years, bikes and components have moved on, Alan’s have been extremely helpful in helping me understand what I needed to build a bike. Having now made multiple purchases form them I can highly recommend them.

This is my personal number 1 place to do business with, when it comes to bikes. For example, I was recently stuck with a mechanical problem, phoned in the morning, (To make sure they weren't too busy that day.) got the all clear to bring a bike in for repair, took it in, and the problem was solved in a trice! Got some ace bits while I was there, and a smart hat. Sound service as always, proper chuffed, big smile on my face, superb service! Great place and brilliant people! Top knotch! 🙂

Bought an amazing custom build from them during the summer and have only just begun using it. Had an issue with the rear wheel rubbing the brake hangars and after a quick call to ensure their workshop was open, took it in and the issue was resolved in 10 mins!!! Thanks SO MUCH!!! Very knowledgeable chief mechanic and a really nice vibe to everything!!!
