Very helpful and pleasant engineer who sorted problem efficiently.

The company arrived quickly, the engineer was very pleasant and quickly cleared the blockage. He carried out a CCTV inspection and discussed potential problems and possible solutions. I was very pleased with the service provided

I had a sewage drain blockage and, after a bit of research, phoned Alpha Rod for help. The call was handled in a professional way and pricing was clear and transparent. Their engineer (Alan?) attended same day and I was impressed by the level of equipment he had and his very helpful and knowledgeable approach. I was able to watch the output from the camera and he was very informative about what we were seeing, as well as the causes and consequences. I didn't realise how far the camera could travel into the system which was helpful in identifying the issues.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I had a significant problem with water and flooding to the undercroft on my property. Alpha Rod visited and diagnosed the problem as the soak away on my patio and and the drains on my decking. They seemed really caring so I engaged them to undertake the work, despite the fact that it cost in excess of £2,225 and took all my savings. As a pensioner this was a major decision but they assured me the problem would be fixed.

We had a very dry summer so I had no way of knowing if it was properly fixed although I had concerns about water not draining away from the patio despite the hot dry weather. I called them back a couple of times to check but they said it was nothing to do with them. I also had rats under the decking at one point and the guy from the council said it was no coincidence that this work had been undertaken and then the rats appeared.

Fast forward to now, as the weather has changed to very wet it has become clear that not only have Alpha Rod not resolved the problem but they have actually made it worse. Following the rain yesterday I was actually wading through half an inch of water on my patio where the soak away is as the water is now not soaking away!
They also removed the large pebbles I had around the decking so now I have gaps where the decking finishes. I would not have been too worried about this had Alpha Rod done the job properly.

The main issue once again is significant flooding in the undercroft area which is starting up again as we get the wet weather.

So, in essence I paid all my savings to Alpha Rod to resolve a big problem, they haven’t done so. Even worse is the fact that they have made the problem worse than it was before. So Alpha Rod have left me with a major problem and I am back to square one, even worse.
I’m sure they are probably good for minor issues but for heavens sake be careful if you use them for anything more complicated as if they don’t cure the problem you will be abandoned and left with a major headache which will be nothing to do with them. Sorry Alpha Rod, I wanted to be able to leave you a brilliant review but you’ve really let me down.

Is it just me or is what Alpha Rod did by diverting the rain water pipe to the foul system to bypass the
soak away, frowned upon by the industry?

Arrived 1hr15 minutes late. Smelt of smoke. Spent 30 seconds looking at the relevant drain only to suggest he couldn't fix the problem. Then attempted to charge £200 + VAT.

Bartered down to £90 + VAT

Disappointing service.

Our normal trustee plumber was unable to find out how to deal with the issue. We had pretty much given up when a friend recommended Alpha Rod. We called and were reassured "don't worry we will sort you out, this is what we do." Immediately felt better. Then Glen came to the rescue, he put his 20+ yrs expertise into action, found a way of locating the missing pieces and sorted us out. Amazing service.

Bradley was sent out to sort our drainage issue. He was brilliant!!! He was friendly, helpful and worked non stop to address the issue. Alphrod has a great team. Thank you 😊 AAAAA+++++

Alpha rod sent someone in two days of my call. the lady on the phone was professional and gave me clear pricing for the call out. a man called Gordy turned up to investigate a terrible smell in my utility room. He listened to my concerns and was a very lively, helpful and friendly person. Gordy found the problem quickly, it was a blocked drain and he cleared it.
I'm very happy with this service and would recommend to family and friends.

My call to the Bath number was answered very quickly and after a brief conversation to establish the problem Chris explained the options - it helped a lot that he knew the city and the sorts of houses. I was kept informed and Gordy came within hours of my call, identified the cause of the problem with a quick bit of detective work and fixed it there and then; the cost was very reasonable and the service outstanding on every level; courteous, professional, flexible. Glen from Alpharod was a gent, and an absolute legend. He got the job done, no messing around and knew exactly what he was doing. Blockage was removed within an hour, pipes cleaned and he showed me the results on the camera screen. His knowledge and experience spoke volumes. Thank you Glen and Alpharod. We had really bad damp problem for years!
We have spent thousands trying to find the problem. Our last attempt to solve the problem was to have the drains checked that run along side the annexe. After an internet search I decided on Alpharod, our appointment was bumped a couple of times, which we understood as our job wasn’t urgent. Wow really worth the wait! Gordy was very professional, he took the history of the damp from us , got his camera out and got to work! He checked the outside drains and worked his way back into the property! After the removal of some boxing in and more camera work he identified the fault, and solved the problem. He tidied up after himself and left everything in good order, after advising us about the solution, that we were then able to fix ourselves. In 1.5 hours he solved a problem that had taken us 3 years trying to solve. Gordy was polite, professional, experienced and took the time to communicate the issue in a way that we understood. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thank you Alpha rod and Gordy !

Phoned and explained our issue on a Monday. Told an engineer would be out next day to resolve. Gordy phoned enroute and arrived Tuesay morning. He removed the blockage promptly. He then explained possible reasons, what he'd did to resolve it and gave the waste system a check over. Paid him by card on the spot and got an electronic receipt. Great service and would definitely recommend Alpha Rod for where they operate in West Wiltshire and East Somerset.

They are brilliant - have had a few issues since November time and they have been reliable, courteous and helpful every time

I was recommended to Alpharod by a friend and I was so so disappointed when they didn’t come up to expectations! I’m not saying they’re rogues at all but when they came out to check my semi blocked toilet they didn’t have the correct camera equipment and wanted to return the next day and charge me again when I had described in detail exactly what was happening. Apparently it would cost the company too much money for all the teams to carry this particular diagnostic tool. Just be careful when asking this company to help you - make doubly sure that you’re not going to be charged twice for something that can be done once with the correct camera equipment!

Same day quotation and date for works, secured with 10% deposit. Engineers arrived promptly, did the work and made good. Can not fault them. Would definitely recommend Alpha Rod for drain works.
