I consider this platform as dubious

I consider this platform as dubious. I strongly recommend to read the terms and conditions. Alva Labs claims to use the private information and test data for its own purpose. For a platform dealing with confidential private data definitely a no go.
Further there is no information available where the data is stored and if the data falls under the patriot act. Since the data is hosted on Google Cloud this is most likely.

Jag tyckte att personlighetstestet…

Jag tyckte att personlighetstestet innehöll en hel del märkligt ställda frågor. Logiktestet blev jag dels irriterad och less på så pass att jag inte orkade genomföra det, då jag anser att utformningen är långt ifrån tillräcklig. Ni hävdar att ett högt resultat på logiktestet på något sätt kan bevisa framtida arbetsprestation, anpassningsförmåga samt förmåga till logiska resonemang? På vilka sätt kan det bevisa det? Calling out bullshit. Jag måste erkänna att jag tappade intresset av den arbetsgivare som använt sig av detta verktyg i sin rekryteringsprocess. När jag gjorde logiktestet förlorade jag intresset helt efter sid 2. Sällan skådat ett mer diskriminerande rekryteringsverktyg.

I recently completed logic and personality test as part of a recruitment process and really enjoyed the experience. The assessments were engaging and thought-provoking, and I even learned a bit more about myself along the way. It was a great opportunity to reflect on how I think and approach different situations — overall, a very insightful process!

Loved it because simple

Loved it because simple, fun design. I did not like how long the test email took but I am not sure what is the problem, so it is fine. Very good result review and I like how things were very automatic.

Skeptical

If you score high in openness, you can probably handle any kind of task, making other Big Five factors secondary. Thanks to high openness, you can adapt, learn new tasks, and manage most things, meaning the other factors become less significant.

If a person has medium-to-low conscientiousness, they might be much faster than the average colleague, and therefore do not need to be particularly conscientious, and *despite that*, they can take on more tasks and manage far more than others. However, with experience, one may have practiced being meticulous in professions where it's required. This means that low conscientiousness scores are entirely irrelevant to your personal work ethic, experience, and speed, which are the real factors (and not measured). Another point is, that low conscientiousness can be correlated with high intelligence since individuals with lower IQ need to compensate with more diligence and hard work to achieve what smarter peers barely need to work hard for.
I happen to be fast and efficient and have worked with details for so long that I would get immediate feedback if I weren't meticulous. Experience and training yield entirely different results in real life.

High openness is correlated with intelligence, which I can score well above average in non-time-stressed tests. However, the Alva Labs test doesn't just involve performance anxiety, "brain lock," and all that comes with having a job at stake. I scored much higher on the Mensa test because I knew my results were anonymous and wouldn't be assessed for a dream job, so I didn't have to sit and feel embarrassed about my results in a potential interview.

Being innovative and practically contributing to improvement also cannot be measured and is invaluable in a healthy organization. Such qualities are only assessed through self-evaluation, which makes them entirely irrelevant since everyone relies on their ego when claiming to be "creative."

On top of all this, if you're unlucky enough to be ambiverted, I don't know what an employer would gain from knowing that. A salesperson can be incredibly social during customer meetings but otherwise be a lone wolf.

Sure, basing test answers on how you are at work is positive. Humans are far more complex than the Big Five suggests (the Big Five is used in Alva Labs personality tests), and I am skeptical about how introversion/extroversion gives me a better chance of getting the right job.
Being creative on paper could potentially be used against a candidate applying for a job as an accountant, which would be quite amusing.

If someone isn't neurotic, is that individual less driven? Or am I more sought-after with low neuroticism scores since an employer would want emotionally stable employees who, for example, don't burn out? Despite low neuroticism, I received results indicating that I "avoid conflicts," (?) which is contradictory because a person unaffected by others' mood swings isn't afraid to challenge something if it's wrong.

An individual with extensive experience learns to speak up and stand their ground; being afraid to challenge a wrong situation is something most people overcome with maturity and experience. You can still be incredibly diplomatic when challenging the status quo if you're intelligent, regardless how high scores of agreeableness you get.

Big 5 is a reliable theory and I do not dismiss it as such, I just do not entirely comprehend how accurately it indicates the right hire. To prove accuracy, there would be a need to hire 3 out of 5 top candidates and see how they perform to the duties to confirm that the best top 1 candidate indeed is the best choice.
I hope HR professionals who take the time to read this gain insights that inspire meaningful skepticism.
