Second time my order didn't arrive; customer service does nothing

Just experienced for the second time my driver just deciding not to deliver my groceries! Amazon makes no effort to get them to you that same day if this happens; they make you reschedule your order and get in the same queue as everyone else. This means the order I placed to arrive today from 9-11 am couldn't be delivered until 10 pm - midnight tonight, which is obviously an unreasonable time for a grocery delivery. When I pushed, they offered me a whopping $20 Amazon credit (this after I spend hundreds on Amazon Fresh a month). I will be switching to Instacart moving forward.

Fresh (7 months ago)….

I received almost 7 month old milk today….wasnt even the right milk. I wanted customer service to know so they could inform the location and avoid killing someone. The response I got was “sorry for the inconvenience”. I don’t even want to know how that milk made it to my doorstep but I won’t be ordering from them again.

This was my first order

This was my first order. I was impressed. The produce was fresh and cheaper than my grocery store. Everything I bought was cheaper than my store, even my local store's sale prices. I placed the order late afternoon and they wanted to deliver it between 5 and 7am. But was able to easily change it to 7 to 9am. Received a text around 7 to let me know it would be delivered between 7:20 and 8:20am. Received a couple of updates with a map showing where they were and how many stops before me. Food was delivered at about 8am. They had everything I requested, nothing was substituted. Very happy!

Don’t bother …

I ordered a weeks worth of food online as I was recovering from an operation, never tried them before always supermarkets, the online shop was good value and I waited until delivery time only for the whole shop to be cancelled minutes before arrival so I had very little choice to eat on the day… never again not worth it even customer service offers nothing

Amazon fresh bad unethical service

I placed order worth 6000 on Amazon fresh and since delivery time increased to 2 days I cancelled it. Amazon said ccln in confmd and refund will happen soon but by evng 50% of products were sent .but we had already bought from a store because for days cooking. Also on missing items Amazon says , it will send in few days or refund . Who is going to keep track of all these ? This is harassment. All perishable items are double in qty now and lying in heaps on dining table. Very bad service and some products are stale too. Shockingly bad service

Not even worth the free trial

TL;DR: Frequent delays/missed delivery windows/missing items/poor quality produce

I’ve had delays before but today was the final straw. I placed an order this afternoon for a delivery window of 5-7pm. Get an email at 6:39p that my order is “running late”. Not ideal but also not surprising - they very frequently ignore delivery time windows and show up hours later. Waited until 7:30 and got no further updates so we decided to just order dinner. Cut to 9:55pm and Amazon sends an adorable, curt email that simply says “Your order has been cancelled.” Guess what, so has my subscription! What could have possibly occurred between 6:39pm and 9:55pm that they couldn’t have given me a heads up more promptly so I could run out and grab groceries quickly for my family instead of depending on this absolute scam of a service? They also clearly have no idea what a russet potato is in NYC (despite me choosing alternate options for them) since at least 3 orders have had random root vegetables included instead.

Lesson Learned the HARD way

I place an order an order last night, it was meant to be dinner for a family of 4 or 6. I work with a nurse who just came back home from a knee replacement.

Order was delivered incomplete. There was only one chicken instead of two. There was a cake on the order that they didn't even try to replace with another dessert.
So, my complaint is that if something is not available, that why I see that on my screen to select, it should be taken out of their inventory.
I did get a text message that a couple of items were unavailable, and how to get in touch with the driver. So called the driver, she did not speak English, then I called the store where the order prepared for delivery. During the first call, I was simple given a number to call. I called that number, after going through 2 different people and long holds, call was disconnected.
So, I called the store back, I thought I will ask for a manager, she/he should be able to solve my issue, but she referred me back to the same number.
At this point I was getting tired of spending so much time making phone calls and explaining what went wrong to so many different people. I did call back, went thru the same process, and the phone was disconnected, now I was beginning to believe that it was intentional.
At some point in this story, I was told that to let the delivery complete and then call them back.
I don't remember how many times I called, but when the final conversation took place, I wanted them to refund all the money since they couldn't keep their word and deliver the entire order. They should have, they wasted a lot of time and energy.
Now, conclusion of the last call was that dollars for the undelivered items will go to amazon credit. Why?? it should have gone to original method of payment, right?
I will never use them to deliver food.
Undignified and rotten business tactics.

Terrible delivery service!

Terrible delivery service!
Not only does this outfit constantly run out of products, on several occasions they have indicated "your groceries are undeliverable" with absolutely NO explanation. Seriously? The program indicates it is on the way and will be on time!
In addition, they provide no way to use both SNAP and any other form of payment on an order.
Amazon, figure out how to delivery groceries properly, or get out of the business!

Amazon Fresh ignores delivery times…

Apparently Amazon Fresh has you pick out delivery times then completely disregards them and delivers at their convenience. This is NOT an isolated incident, it keeps happening. Today I placed an order for delivery at 11 am and they delivered at 7:20 am. When I called and complained, the first representative left me on hold. The second said, “well they are just trying to get you your item as soon as possible,”. I told her it is not an “item” it is perishable groceries! What if I wasn’t home? She apologized and said they would make a note on my account, yeah, that is helpful! I am disabled and have to make sure that I have someone there to help me bring in the groceries and put them away. I cannot have a company that brings my groceries on a whim. I need predictable schedules, this is not helpful.

I have meant to write a positive review…

I have meant to write a positive review for this store. The tall man greet at the door is always cordial and helpful. Shopping using the dash cart is very nice. My only issue was that I had difficulty adding the 10 dollar coupon for purchases over 50 dollars. The two gentlemen in the cashier section were very nice and directed me to "customer service". I explained my situation and the Black, heavyset woman (I say in distinction because there were two Black women working at the counter) said "Did you tick on the 'Add Coupon' button. I said I wasn't able to. "Look at the white sticker on the cart". The sticker said "Scan coupon before checking out." I told her what it said and she laughs. I told her it's a little too early for judgement. "No judgement, but you said this is the SECOND TIME this happened." I said Thank you and left and she said "Do you want to fix this or no?" I know that she means to tell me what I can do to prevent this from happening but how she was going about it made me resistant to any thing she has to say. The two gentleman asked me on my way out if they were able to help me which is nice.

Maybe i was too dumb to figure it out, but she didn't need to make me feel stupid.

The weekly AD on-Sale items always empty and manager is rude

The weekly AD on-Sale items are always empty, even website shows on stock in store. I have been the same store three day a row, never get the on-sale items. Always empty. Store manager and employees are very rude and not help. I was return items (Amazon online order items) yesterday, because I didn’t find the Amazon Fresh weekly on-sale items in store what I want to buy, so I didn’t scan my discount coupon QR code. I back to store today and scanned coupon QR code. The manager, with very rude voice, thought I was trying to cheat to get discount coupon. I have to show the return record to her approve I did return items to store. If the store stocking well, I don’t have to back and scan the QR code on next day. Anyway, the weekly on-sale steak and fish are still empty, even Saturday and Sunday which are household shopping day. So, I didn’t buy anything. What’s going on this super market? Terrible management…Angry bad store. Westlake Village California store.

Not helpful …

I had experienced pretty good service from Amazon Fresh until today. The order came short of 4 needed items, with some random "substitutions" thrown in. I always specify ' no substitutions'. When I contacted Amazon, initially the only solution was refund, which they claim can take 3-5 days! They, however manage to take your money immediately. It took a minute to get a human to help after going to a different page and jumping through the AI hoops. Even after all that, they were apologetic, but unable to rectify the situation. So basically an exercise in wasting time.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience. Tania, the associate in Baylis cross rd falls church VA is very very rude with a nasty attitude. Manger is worse than her. They dont honor the store and state policy by providing rain check.
Stay away from.

Política abusiva de cargos y reembolsos

He realizado un pedido y el importe cargado es un 15% superior al importe de la compra realizada, que deberían notificar en el momento de la compra
Lo hacen después en el mail de confirmación del pedido cuando ya han cargado el importe
En teoría es por si hay cambios de productos, cuando en mi caso todos los productos eran con opción de no sustituir y la única posibilidad era que el importe de la compra fuese menor si faltaba algún producto
Cuando he protestado me indican que es su política y que recibiré el reembolso del importe cargado indebidamente dentro de una semana!!!
Deberían reembolsarlo en el momento de entrega de la compra, ya que ya saben el importe exacto
Me parece una política totalmente abusiva ya que se otorgan el derecho de cargarte el importe que les da la gana y devolvértelo en un plazo largo

Rude Manager Ruins Shopping Experience

I have been a loyal customer at this Whittier, California Amazon Fresh location for over a year, visiting at least weekly. The staff has always been courteous, polite, and helpful, and I’ve never had an issue—until today.

My experience with Maricela, who identified herself as the manager, was shockingly disappointing. Whenever I shop here, I often use the coupons available, and the staff has even reminded me to take advantage of them in the past. However, when I attempted to use a coupon today, Maricela was curt and dismissive. She told me I couldn’t use it because I hadn’t returned items first, which has never been an issue before.

Her tone was rude and unprofessional, and she seemed completely unwilling to accommodate or even listen. Her demeanor made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. The experience was so unpleasant that I decided to return all the grocery items I intended to purchase.

I don’t expect to be treated as if I’m doing something wrong just because I want to use a $2 coupon. This interaction has left me questioning whether I want to continue shopping here. Customer service is everything, and Maricela’s behavior was far below the standard I’ve come to expect at this location.
