I bought flashcard CHST book from this provider. My wife had bought me the same exact book, without me knowing. I reached out to return the book, & their return policy is absolutely punitive! First of all, the book was $20 more than what my wife bought it for! On top of that, there was a $9.95 shipping fee which made the book now $30 more expensive! They also weren't going to reimburse the shipping fee, plus a 15% restocking fee, in addition to paying for the book being shipped back! Their method of shipping to me was Amazon, & apparently where they got the book from. So the same book through Amazon was $20 cheaper, with free shipping, & if you have to return it, the shipping back is at no cost! I cannot imagine how this place stays i business, as practically a middle man for Amazon books! I'll never, ever shop from these price gouging middle men, ever, ever again! Shame on you...

I ordered a book from American Book Warehouse expecting a hard cover but received a paperback. When I reached out via email, they responded with kind customer service and offered me a solution that was more than acceptable. The response time wasn't as immediate as some companies, but they did respond and customer support representative was beyond friendly and helpful.

Update to my original review: I was finally contacted by American Book Warehouse’s Customer Service Department. I was offered a full refund if I wanted to return the book. I was also offered a 50% refund if I wanted to keep the book. I opted to keep the book and receive a 50% refund. My credit card account was refunded within a couple of days.

I contacted American Book Warehouse the day after I placed an order to say I wanted to cancel my order. I was promptly contacted by their Customer Service Department that the it was too late to cancel the order. The next day I received a notification the book was shipped. I received the book several days later and I have contacted them twice, via e-mail, requesting information to return the book. No reply. I would not buy anything from this store.

I received my book on time and in great condition!

I was looking for a rare find and was so happy to see it listed. The price was fair, the communication was quick and helpful, and the shipping was on time. My book came carefully packaged and in pristine condition. So glad my Google search led me to American Book Warehouse!

I had seen mixed reviews from people when it came to ordering items from here, but I had a wonderful experience. My item shipped in 24 hours from placing the order and I received the item exactly a week later. Overall the experience was great and the customer service is fantastic as well!

poor service. I ordered my book supposedly shipped. A duplicate order was placed and I keep getting emails to complete my order even though I already placed one and the book supposedly shipped. No tracking, no one answers emails, messages or phone calls. Calling Capital one to cancel charges.

I ordered what I thought was a new Bible, but I received a used one instead. I wasn't expecting that. It was to be a gift for a friend, and I was already late in getting it to her.
I was upset as I didn't understand how this could have happened. I emailed customer service and they explained they sell used books, but I don't recall seeing that when making my decision to purchase it.
They emailed me back and said they were sorry for the confusion and that they would refund my money and I could keep the used Bible. I certainly wasn't expecting that reply. They didn't have to do that, but it was an act of kindness that I will never forget. The customer isn't always right for which I apologize.

I will definitely consider doing business with them again. I have already told others of my experience
and they were surprised as well. I respect a business who stands behind their products and reputation.

My Prayer is that your business will continue to grow as you acted in good faith and I very much appreciate that.

First, my book was available in the form I wanted hard cover at a great price. The ordering process is easy and short. The book was sent the day promised and received in perfect shape.

First time ABW customer for a textbook I needed. I appreciated them reaching out to make sure I ordered the right book before fulfilling my order (because I was taking a gamble lol) and making sure I received it.

Great doing business with American Book Warehouse. I had ordered and paid for a book, but it turned out that their inventory system was incorrect and the book was actually not available after all. They let me know immediately, and instantly credited me with a refund. Zero hassle! They are so kind as to offer me a discount on a book going forward. This is great, nearly unheard of customer service! I know I will enjoy working with them in the future!

I had a great experience with American Book Warehouse. First, they had the textbook my son needed at a better price than anywhere else and could get it to me quickly. Additionally, when I made a mistake with the address, they were incredibly responsive and made the necessary changes to ensure the book was delivered to the correct address. Customer service was excellent as was their follow up to ensure the book was received and I was satisfied with my experience.
