AVA was very helpful in providing the necessary documents needed and detailed instructions on how to submit them to the VA. I’m grateful for their help and phone calls. Within five months, my mother received her assistance with back pay from when I submitted the forms. It’s worth the initial investment.

Everyone I spoke with was extremely helpful, explained the process and answered all of my questions. Getting VA benefits is a grueling process and I never would have been able to navigate the system on my own. Benefits took about 6 months to receive but finally came through. I would recommend American Veterans Aid to anyone seeking VA benefits and financial assistance.

From beginning to approval, they were there to support us gathering paperwork and navigating each step with updates. They were easy to work with. I thank you for helping us with our case.

Everyone treated us with dignity and respect as we determined our mother who was 97 qualified for Veterans Aid since her husband, who had passed several years ago, served in the Korean War. It was well worth the $1500 to get the complicated government paperwork completed correctly and we were able to get back pay for 6 months from when the initial request was made.

My father who is an Air Force Veteran went through the application process for aid with American Veterans Aid last August. By April he got his first check with retro pay.
If it wasn’t for the excellent and compassionate staff, I know he would have never got his benefits.

American veterans aid led me through the application process that was extremely complicated. They helped me fill out the paperwork and file it. It was such a happy day when I received the approval letter from the VA

I asked questions and got help all along the way until the end when they were telling me I needed to provide something that just didn't exist when my dad was in the military.
They worked much faster than the VA, which I was happy for and we are now getting my. mom funding to help with day care.

The process was complicated but your staff made it easy to navigate. They were prompt and attentive

Our claim for my dad was submitted in late September and the benefits were approved and started in February. This was the desired outcome. However, my concern is for the communication. I had some issues in the beginning getting timely responses to my concerns. I was given a new rep and this got a little better. Once the claim was filed, communication all but stopped. I followed up in December with the VA myself. I had an email after that from AVA that the claim was pending and they would contact the VA again in 2 months. I reached back out to the VA in January and was told that our claim should be approved in February. I reached out in February and found out that the claim had been approved and the back pay should be on its way. I never received any communication from AVA about the status of the claim after the December communication.
I reached out requesting a scheduled call in late February. I received a call back the next day when I was at the grocery store. I asked if she could call me after my trip to the store. She said she would call me in an hour. I never got that call. Since then I have sent several emails requesting a call as I had further questions. Not one email has been answered. I still have questions. I never received word that my claim had been accepted from AVA. I did all the f/u work on my own. I gave 3 stars due to the fact that the benefits have begun. I had been promised 5 star service. It’s a shame that I didn’t get that.

The team coached us through all the documentation requirements and application questions. When I learned that the application date was the eventual "starting date" for benefits, they helped get things filed promptly. It would have taken me forever to get though it. Worth every penny of the fee.
