So happy with my new Deluxe 26
So happy with my new Deluxe 26! The frame size is perfect for me (I'm 5'1") I have literally only just bought it and cycled home from Terry Wright's in Peterborough and it rides like a dream! The flyover cycle path that I usually dread pedalling up on my manual bike was no bother at all. I absolutely sailed up. Love the colour (light blue, actually more like pale turquoise) goes so well with the Basil panniers I've had for a few years, the only fly in the ointment is that my beautiful Basil basket won't fit on. Lewis at the shop tells me that Ampere are working on a rack that fits on the front of the bike and is going to investigate that as I like my personal possessions close to hand when cycling. Shout out to all the guys at Terry Wright's who have been brilliant. The bike is being called Broomstick....

Did a lot of research before buying this e-bike and the whole process of ordering has been simple . The team at Ampere Electric were polite and helpful.
Assembly was relatively simple and I’ve had a quick spin around the block and so far it seems a good buy .

It's lovely to ride and light. It is an upgrade from my last bike. I love all the features on the screen and enjoy using it. I appreciate being able to see how many miles I've done and at what speed. At my age I wouldn't be without it and the step through feature is helpful with my bad hip!

Ladies Step though Ampere electric bike
I have just bought a ladies step through Ampere bike and love it! very light and easy to ride. the Mary Poppins sit up handle bars are perfect as i have slight arthritis in my right hand, my previous bike was the typical lower down handle bars so uncomfortable after a while.
I've been out for a 20 mile trip and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was purchased from Cycle King in Bedford who were very helpful, especially Robert 😊

I bought the Hilux 10Ah a couple of…
I bought the Hilux 10Ah a couple of weeks ago and, after a few initial teething troubles, I’m really pleased with it.
Just to give a bit of background, I recently had a total knee replacement, and living around the East Yorkshire Wolds meant that getting up some of the hills on my road bike had become pretty much impossible. So I was hoping the Hilux would make a big difference — and so far, it definitely has!
The service from the guys at Ampere has been excellent. Thomas and Colin have both been really helpful and quick to answer any questions I’ve had. I ordered the bike on Sunday evening and it was delivered by FedEx on Tuesday, within the allocated time slot, so I couldn’t really have asked for more.
Putting the bike together was pretty straightforward. It was mainly a case of fitting the handlebars, front mudguard, front light, electrical connectors and, of course, the front wheel. It took me a couple of hours, but I was taking my time rather than rushing it.
The bike looks fantastic in Molten Red. I was still surprised by how heavy it is when I first got it — it really is a beast! Once you’re riding it though, you don’t really notice the weight.
I’ve now done four rides and I have to say I’m really enjoying it. It’s obviously completely different to my road bike, but it’s comfortable to ride and the way it tackles the hills is seriously impressive.
I managed a 30-mile ride on one charge, going up and over the Wolds with some good long and fairly steep climbs. The Hilux just breezed up them, much to the annoyance of my mates! 😂 On the flatter sections it was a nice, steady cruise.
I got home with about 5% battery left, so I reckon I probably had another couple of miles in it. Given the hills and the terrain I’d covered, I was genuinely surprised by the range, especially with the smaller 10Ah battery.
It’s still early days, but so far the Hilux has definitely exceeded my expectations. It feels like a really solid bike, it’s comfortable on the road and, most importantly for me, it’s given me the ability to get out and enjoy riding again without worrying about the hills.
I’m still getting to know the bike and working out how best to maximise the range, but so far I’m really happy with the purchase.

We have just been out on our first ride and it was brilliant. I'm so pleased I got the Deluxe 26". Im 5'3" and iti is perfect. I felt completely in control. It's a lovely looking bike too in the light blue and doesn't really look like an ebike. My husband has the hilux and at 6'3" found it very comfortable. We've received excellent service from Ampere, we ordered direct from the website. The bikes were packaged really well and my husband found it easy to assemble them. Very happy indeed. Thank you.
