Great components and ebike power for a very competitive price
Recently purchased an Ampere Hilux (a 700c ebike) intended mainly for a new longer road commute, as well as getting out on cycle paths recreationally. I was drawn to Ampere for the good spec components (Shimano parts, decent torque motor and good battery life) plus integrated lights, pannier rack, mudguards etc. at a very reasonable price. I bought directly from Ampere using a cycle to work scheme (Cycle Solutions) and Colin was extremely helpful at putting together a package with a few accessories. Bike arrived quickly by next-day delivery despite being at the other end of the country, was easy for a novice to set up the last 15% that wasn't already assembled, and get out on a test ride the same day. Rides comfortably and has good power, easy to use controls, good stopping power and clean gear shifting. Very impressed with the amount of bike you get for the price.

Thoughtful British Engineering and…
Thoughtful British Engineering and Great Customer Support
I recently purchased an Ampere Deluxe 26″ step-through, and while I bought it through a distributor, my experience with Ampere has been outstanding. It is clear that this is a company that actually listens to its riders.
As someone who is 5’3”, I’ve struggled to find e-bikes that fit. Ampere stands out because they actually offer smaller frames and adjustable Dutch-style handlebars. It’s refreshing to find a British company that understands "one size" does not fit all and prioritizes rider comfort and posture.
Unlike other brands that charge extra for essentials, Ampere includes mudguards, a rear rack, and integrated lights as standard. Their innovation is brilliant too—the rear indicator lights are a fantastic feature I haven’t seen elsewhere, allowing me to keep my hands securely on the bars, which is a definite bonus for me as I can otherwise be a bit wobbly!
Neither have they cut corners on the bike’s technical spec. Compared to other brands I researched Ampere offer a high level of torque (65nm) which makes hill climbing easy peasy. And they’ve designed the battery to sit flush into the frame for a sleek look, and it’s also lockable and removable so I can charge it indoors or take it off for security during a bike stop.
Given that I love supporting home-grown businesses it was a plus for me that Ampere are based in Devon. And even though I didn’t buy direct, the Ampere team has been incredibly responsive and helpful whenever I’ve contacted them with questions.
So, if you’re are looking for a company that combines high-quality British engineering, at a competitive price with genuine care for their customers (especially petite riders!), I highly recommend them.

We’re absolutely delighted to hear how well the Ampere Deluxe 26″ step-through is working for you. Creating bikes that are comfortable and accessible for a wide range of riders is very important to us, so it’s especially rewarding to hear that the frame size and adjustable Dutch-style handlebars have made a real difference for you.
It’s also great to know that the features we include as standard — such as the mudguards, rack, lights, and rear indicators — are appreciated. We aim to design bikes that are practical, safe, and enjoyable to ride without requiring lots of add-ons.
Thank you as well for your kind words about our team. Even when bikes are purchased through our distributors, we’re always happy to support riders directly whenever they need help or advice.
We truly appreciate your support for a Devon-based company and hope you enjoy many comfortable and enjoyable miles on your Ampere.

AMPERE HILUX PRO 700C
After much searching for the right e-bike for me & my partner, we settled on the Ampere HiLux Pro 700c.
We were guided exceptionally well by Stewart & Simon at Cycle King/Hawke Cycles Derby to satisfy our needs & with Help from Tom at Ampere our order was adjusted to reflect that.
Order placed for 2 bikes with both delivered absolutely on time & handed over efficiently as promised.
These guys are exceptionally efficient & knowledgeable without applying any pressure at all.
We've only had the bikes for a short while & the weather hasn't been suitable for a good test, but we're extremely pleased with the build quality, specifications & riding so far.
Very well done to all!

Great service and quality specifications
After much research, I have brought an Ampere ebike. The process was easy with a test ride being organised by Thomas via a shop local to me in Brighton; Baker Street Bikes. It arrived swiftly and although new to me it seems great quality compared to other more expensive bikes in the shop. It's a matt blue/ grey finish and has the rear indicators that I've not seen on other bikes. Really more power than I need with good torque uphill. Comfortable riding position and a very solid build. Great looking bike. You make payment to the shop and there was a very good service answering all queries quickly in a friendly and professional way, thank you Thomas.

Recent Ampere Deluxe purchase
Recently bought an Ampere Deluxe E bike through bike to work scheme, from E Bike Centres Leicester. Great service from Gary and all at the E Bike shop. And so far very impressed with the bike. Have only rode 5 miles home but the bike was easy to handle with very effective brakes, great screen, bright lights front and rear (and love the indicators), and nice chunky tyres. Love the grey colour. Overall seems a really good bike.
