Last week I attended the Andrea Stolpe songwriting retreat.

It was a remarkable week exploring ideas and techniques to help write better songs. And the opportunity to co write songs with fellow participants was invaluable,

I have been on a real high since finishing the retreat.

Andrea created a safe, caring, and creative environment where we as singer/songwriters were able to share our music, connect, with others and validate what we're doing. I met some wonderful people and we shared ideas, collaborated and created some wonderful music.

Andrea and the team created a safe, communicative, engaging enviroment for creativity to flourish.

Just finished a 5 day retreat with Andrea, her staff, and 33 very talented, creative, hugely spirited and good hearted musicians and songwriters. What a wonderful experience. A 10 on the 10 scale. With a focus on maybe 20-25, ? more, aspects of songwriting, (there are 100’s), and cowriting, the group wrote and performed, lyrics and music, 33 songs in 3 days, just amazing. And there’s time to hang, to visit, to present to Andrea individually, and to jam songs in the evening/night. The retreat site was excellent re comfort, cleanliness, friendliness, and good food, (with dietary options), 3 meals/day, and snacks!!!! What Andrea, (who is a gifted teacher), and her team offer, is unique. I know she’s not the only one doing this, but her formula, her program, is a winner. The learning and creative process will certainly continue after the program finishes.
I’d go again in the blink of a blink.

An overall amazing experience. We spent time in a group of people from all over the globe. Each their own process, tastes, talents, ideas and quirks. This made for an inspiring mix. Andrea and her team were so warm, inclusive and professional.
For one week we all felt what it would be like to be the Kelly Family (remember them? Haa!)
Highly recommend the retreat if you are open to learning more and zooming in on the details if you are experienced or finding a good, big well of inspiration and drive if you are a starter.

Everyone at the retreat was super welcoming and the structure and information was wonderful. The co-writing sessions were super fun and we wrote some great songs! I know I'll use the tools I took away from this retreat and improve on my craft!

Had a wonderful time and learned so much! Andrea is an amazing instructor. If you are looking for a place to improve your work, reconnect with yourself and with others - all through songwriting...this is the place!

This was an amazing experience to grow as a songwriter. Great teachings from Andrea and it was an awesome experience being surrounded by other songwriters to learn from for a week.

Had the time of my life. Andrea is Brilliant! She has a special way of identifying pieces of song structure and explaining their function like noone else i have heard before. Insightful and amazing! And my fellow retreaters were all so kind and gracious. it was a wonderful experience.

Although I didn't know what *specifically* to expect, I had the *kind* of experience I expected. A very positive, constructive, and respectful atmosphere was established, while the content was very professional.

Andrea's retreat was a life changing experience. I met some friends and contacts for life and learned a lot about myself both as a person and as a writer. The way Andrea breaks down songwriting is incredibly inspiring and the team that surrounds her are amazing! Shoutout to Myles and Maddison ya'll are the best! If you ever get the chance to go to one of Andrea's retreats don't think twice :)

The retreat was a wonderful experience. The location and the people were truly lovely and I got to co-write with some talented people. Andrea and her team were great!

Andreas knowledge on songwriting is pure gold. Every teaching, suggestion and advice is an inspiration for better songs. And the freedom to explore and stay true to yourself completes the picture. I loved every second of the songwriters retreat.

A sharpened skill set and learned how to participate meaningful in songwriting with collaborators is what I came home with after a week songwriting retreat in the UK. A time well spend with fellow singer songwriters along with insight and knowledge of Andrea Stolpe helped us all to improve our songwriting with hands-on examples and exercises.

It was amazing to be with so many talented songwriters and performers, yet feel so comfortable and almost unabashed. Moreover, Andreas insights were unmissable. The team were brilliant and the experience was exceptional. I am inspired and new doors have opened for my own abilities. Thank you.

After taking some time to reflect on my experience at Andrea’s songwriting retreat, I am filled with nothing but positive feelings and a wealth of inspiration. The week was very well organized, and I appreciated the structured schedule. Andrea breaks everything down into such manageable tasks and made things feel easy.
The co-writing sessions were a highlight for me. They not only taught me a lot about myself but also underscored the importance of collaboration in songwriting. Having written alone for so long, this was a real eye-opener. It was also great to get to showcase our songs every evening.
The wonderful people I met throughout the week made the experience truly unforgettable. I feel like I’ve gained a “musical family” to stay connected with and hopefully collaborate with in the future.
I’m so glad I signed up for this retreat. It was absolutely worth it, and I’d definitely do it again. Thank you to all the team for a fantastic experience!

An incredible experience. Andrea’s technical instruction is second to none, the teaching sessions and class exercises were invaluable in workshopping viable songs from the sketchiest of ideas. Andrea and her team create a safe, honest, transparent environment for everyone to be themselves which helped us bond quickly as a class and support each other. We were constantly pushed and challenged but Andrea’s feedback was always judicious and supportive - no punches were pulled but the blows landed as epiphanies / lightbulb moments to savour. I’d hoped the afternoon songwriting collaborations and evening performances would be fun but I didn’t expect them to be a source of such joy. I can’t recommend this retreat highly enough.
