They just want your data for free part 2
they just make you do the survey and then they tell you you don't qualify for the study.
If you are a highly qualified person born oversea, they'll never classify you as suitable for their interviews.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re always really keen to provide more information and address any concerns raised, as we really value the experience of people engaging with our services.
I can reassure that we do not share your personal information with any third parties, as clearly stated in our Privacy Policy. We take privacy seriously, and your data is handled with the utmost care.
Regarding the screener survey, these are used to determine eligibility for specific studies. Since our clients have specific criteria, unfortunately, not everyone will qualify for every study. We understand this can be frustrating, however, the criteria are set by our clients to ensure their target audience are included within their market research sessions.
As a UK-based company, we are only able to include participants living in the UK, but being born outside of the UK does not automatically disqualify anyone. We work with a wide variety of participants from diverse backgrounds.
If you’d like more information about why you didn’t qualify for a particular study, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly at info@angelfish-opinions.com or give us a call at 01242 908872. We’d be happy to provide clarification.

My first study with Angelfish
My first study with Angelfish has just completed and I was very happy to be working with them. I understand the frustration in not being chosen for a project having tried lots of times, but it’s worth sticking with it. A professional and quality company.

They just want our data for free
I've given up applying for research now. Everytime they send an email inviting me for research, I have to answer several questions. This is clearly a way of getting free data collection because I'm never picked for the research. Even after I've filled in answers to all the question, they will continue to send out invite emails which should be unnecessary if enough people have responded. They will say that each project has different criteria, which they do, but it can't be the case that I would be unsuitable for all of them. I've wasted so much time filling in these forms.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t been as positive as we’d like it to be.
When we invite participants to take part in our research, we send out a screener first. These short questionnaires help us understand whether an applicant is a good fit for the specific research project. Each study has its own unique criteria to ensure that the findings are meaningful and accurate. While we wish we could include everyone, our studies do attract a high volume of interest, and not everyone can be selected every time.
We’d like to reassure you that your data is treated with the utmost care. We never pass your information on to third parties, and any screening data is deleted three months after completion, as outlined in our personal information policy.
We truly appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into applying. Participation in our research is always completely voluntary, and if you prefer not to receive future invitations, you can unsubscribe at any time or request that we delete your information. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please don’t hesitate to contact our team—we’re here to help and strive to make the process as rewarding as possible.
Best wishes,
Laura & the Angelfish team

Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time. They send me regular emails, requesting that I take part in their surveys, etc. For ages, I used to religiuosly always reply, yet always get rejected. I gave up until recently when I received one in my inbox that was particularly pertinent to me and, once again, an automatic rejection. Maybe it's because I'm not an ethnic minority, I have no idea, but don't let them waste your time, too. I must have filled out 100+ forms, each time probably spending 5 minutes doing so, only to receive rejection after rejection.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t been as positive as we’d hope. Our studies attract a high volume of applicants, and not everyone can be selected for every project. Participant criteria are based on the specific requirements of each study to ensure meaningful and accurate results. To maintain inclusivity and represent the diversity of the UK population, we aim to recruit a nationally representative mix, including factors such as age, gender, and ethnic background.
We truly appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into applying. Participation in our research is always completely voluntary, and if you prefer not to receive future invitations, you can unsubscribe at any time or request that we delete your information.
