Kept my money locked in a cash account - can't access my cash, release tiny amounts and paying hardly any interest, now charging to withdraw the piddly amounts they finally release. They must be making millions on the high interest rates right now with our money. It's corruption in it's purest form and exploitation of small investors. Why doesn't the FCA do something.

The financial regulator should be investigating this company, Assetz Capital are crooks - placing my money in a locked cash account for years, charging fees and on top of it charging fees to withdraw the small amounts they finally release. Disgusting behaviour by bosses who run this company exploiting people.

I am currently acting for a number of clients who have claims against Assetz where they have lost money/their investment.

No money back and fees for nothing... Stay away from those thieves...

This company should be in court for theft, for the reasons outlined by countless other reviewers. The fact they try everything possible to remove negative reviews should tell you everything you need to know about this immoral organisation.

Stops their peer to peer lending service - keeps your money and lets you access small amounts each month. It's going to take another 30 months or more to get my money back. Now wants to charge you £35 transfer fee for 3 minutes work.

Well this is 1 star review number two!!. So here we are 14 months down the line since Assetz Capital left the small Investor high and dry with no hope of us ever getting our money back. Huge fees already incurred to pay off their staff and other fees they have accumulated and NOW they have introduced an additional fee in order that we can withdraw the derisory monthly amounts they release. YET at the same time boast about how well the company is doing. Please can some financial body look into this companies irregularities and take action for the small Investor who has been well and truly duped

Received an email today from Assetz Capital with new ways of shafting the investors who trusted them with their money.

Dodgy as.....
This company stopped us little minions investing in P2P lending through them, over two years ago. As soon as bank interest rates went up, this company without notice froze all our retail accounts, to stop us withdrawing our money, other than a few hundred every few months. 22 month on, I still haven't had my money back, its trapped in limbo, invested in dodgy developments that are months over their completion dates, but they forgot to tell me that when they took my money. None of us little investors can get our money out, its got to be theft... Assetz lie, dodge phone calls, don't reply to emails, hide behind terms and conditions!! Do not trust this company, they are a bunch on scammers, middle men, out to make money for themselves regardless of the consequences and have no interest in doing the right thing by prioritising the return of our hard earned savings from some equally unscrupulous developers. Don't give them a penny, you wont see it again!

Crooks. Simple as that.

They are withholding thousands of pounds of my saving and are limiting withdrawals to a couple of hundred pounds every few months.

How this is allowed, and how those in charge have not been investigated is utterly beyond me. Do not go anywhere near this disgusting organisation.

The fact the company applied to have my first review deleted from this site should indicate hope shady they are.

AssetzCapital closed to retail lenders and instead of doing a zopa or rate setter solution they’ve locked us up until underlying loans repay. Not pleased with that but ok that’s always a risk with p2p. But AC also decided to ramp up their charges so that all lender interest has been forfeited. The loans are so bad they don’t even seem to be able to get investors to pay, say, 80p in the pound. I reckon I’ll be locked in for another 3.5 years. It’s a shame because when the model worked it was very good. If they behave the same to their borrowers I would avoid.

First point Assetz Capital are a zero star review, they do not deserve any stars!! Why aren’t Assetz Capital being investigated by the FCA or the police? They are crooks, they’ve taken investors money and are refusing to release it. They do not carry out proper financial checks-lending to unscrupulous developers, who a bank wouldn’t lend a pen too! One development I invested in, has ongoing legal disputes and can’t sell, what are Assetz going to get our money back, literally nothing, because they are racking in default interest on the loan! They should be perusing getting our money back!! Having Invested money for the short term, now it’s going to take years to get it out! This just can’t be legal, it’s boarder line theft- what sort of lender tells you ‘We can’t give you your instant access funds back’ ?? Surely that means they are trading insolvent?? Stay away from this company, they are about as legitimate as pyramid lending in the 90’s. Shame on you Assetz Capital!! Shame on you….

Follow your gut instinct and avoid any business that writes 'assetz' instead of assets. Shady platform in every sense now lost my deposit for first house. Utterly devastated.

Hi folks I would like to know what are the chances of us getting our money back even if it takes 5 years.

Hello, I am one of the investors who has been denied access to my funds and I had 90 days access account in the past and I am wondering if anyone thought to get one of the no claim no fee solicitors to get funds from assetz capital back quickly. Lender fees are higher than the loan interest rate, my outstanding fees increase month by month with zero interest paid.

Do the right thing & use your institutional investors to buy us out. How your legally allowed to change your terms & conditions is questionable.

29/7/23 The company decided close to retail investors (preferring institutional investtors) and freeze all accounts. They are running down the existing loan book, but currently charging us lenders over 6% in order to do this, in many cases that is ALL our interest, and (of course) we can only withdraw money as and when borrowers repay, up to nearly five years even if they do. If I am wrong let Mr Stuart Law explain here on Trustpilot.

Edit: 3/9/23 Whatever it says on the right, I sent an email asking for confirmation that Assetz are imposing "wind-down" fees on lenders which totally wipeout ALL of the interest still being earned. Assetz did not have the courtesy to reply.

Awful. Accepted lower rate of interest in exchange for quick access. Now they can’t repay until borrowers repay. So could have gone for longer access and a higher rate!

Wish I’d never heard of them.

They do transfer ISAs cash out quickly WHEN it becomes available. But still only 1 star.

I have been with Assetz Capital for some time and have usually been very happy with the service and interest rates, however most of my funds were in the QUICK ACCESS peer to peer account and i have been informed that even though i have a QUICK ACCESS account I am unable to gain access to my funds until they are repaid. I DID NOT SIGN UP TO THIS. They should give investers an opportunity to sell their loans to other investers. A QUICK ACCESS account should be quick access as advertised. Now i have no clue when I can get some of my funds that i now need. This is immoral.

This company is terrible. With no warning to investors, they transitioned their business model from focusing on retial investors to only institutional investors. Locking retail investors into failing loans whilst courting institutional money with the more profitable loans. Meanwhile, we are facing extortionate management fees to give them the privilege of lending our money.
