Do not sign up with them !!!. i signed up for the free trial, and was billed the next day .. ugh so annoying that I now have to demand a refund & cancellation. Do not trust them

Selection is limited
Book selection is not as good. But overall its nice to have when the book is available. Nice audio and good for college which requires long readings.

A real good alternative to the regular audiobook subscription
I have tried quite a few different audiobook subscription services and this one is quite nice. They have a good selection of books, as well as the option to use the monthly credit to join the book club withe unlimited reading. The two credits they give you for the first month is a nice way of trying out both stiles.
I didn't understand how the club's worked and the customer service was very good at helping me switch to the correct one.
The extra VIP books were not super exciting, with many being open source books, but they are an extra add on so it's ok.

Comparison to Audible
I've only just started using Audiobooks.com but I have been an Audible subscriber for a very long time. I let that subscription lapse last year as I wasn't traveling like I used to. But I have a basis for comparison. Both Audiobooks app and it's website is in no way comparable to Audible. It's pretty basic and not that comprehensive. Their "deals" aren't that great and they appear to be by month not daily deals like Audible has. And on their website you can't look at the other books in a series easily to see if you want to start a new one. They have a VIP thing with an extra book you can get while you're still a member, but the choices aren't that great and you can't sort by topic/category. Just like I said, pretty basic.
Also I noticed that the reviews that are posted are minimal. I was just considering a couple books to use credits on but there were next to no reviews. So I went to Audible to check out the book and there were dozens. I'm glad I did because they let me know that I probably wouldn't like the book because the narrator was awful. Not sure if I'll keep audiobooks.com

I thought I had to pay for "free trial" but I was wrong.
I signed up for free trial.Then I got a mail from Paypal saying I had just payed them $14.95 USD. Even though I sent them a very angry mail, they where very kind in the respons explaining to me how it worked. It was a "pre-authorization which is immediately voided upon sign up and it will drop off within the next few business days. This is just to ensure the billing details you have provided are valid upon sign up." Thank you for your patience!
