I received a check in the mail from AvidXChange which did not identify what it was for and it came after I had been gone three months, so it was outdated. I called to inquire about it. After 42 minutes on hold, I gave up. I was able to get it clarified by googling the business listed (which was unknown to me). They clearly don't have enough staff to take care of phone calls.
Can't set up my account. Can't get support. No one to phone. The chat hangs forever when I get referred to an agent. There is no one there.
Update: They reached out to me via email. We weren't able to connect. A check arrived for the amount due on 4/13. I think this review prompted a response. I am updating from a 1 star to a 3.

The only problem is is that our company quickly approves all of the submitted details and forwards them to avid. And then avid sits on them for weeks. Sometimes months before reimbursing employees for expenses. I don't know why a company would want to pay another company to ruin their reputation for being great employers

The AvidX team is very responsive and thorough. I can email them a variety of questions, and they always get back to me quickly. Even when they are not able to help me with an answer (which is rare) they reply back and explain why. Ciera and Ginger have been great colleagues to have and we very much appreciate their professionalism.
Shelley DeBerry was great to work with in our transition from CC payments to ACH payments. Top notch customer service. The process has been seamless. Highly recommend Avid Exchange!

Good idea. A cumbersome and confusing process, along with subpar customer support. You know it's bad when AI puts you on hold. I received a virtual credit card with a past expiration date. Called customer service twice, waiting 30 minutes each time, and still not speaking with anyone. Went on AI chat support twice for 30 minutes with no response, but "Please wait while we route you to the next available agent." Really?

AVIDXchange is a terrible company to work with and I highly recommend companies read all their complaints before signing up for their check writing and mailing services. Business owners are completely lied to and told that signing up with AVIDXchange will streamline their invoice payments, their vendors will get paid faster, and their portal will allow vendors to always know the status of their payments. ALL FALSE! So, business owners sign up with them, not knowing of their predatory practices. For example, take a small, private commercial real estate property management firm. They have over 40 properties they manage, and 20 vendors per property that help maintain their properties. The vendors do their work according to their contracts, and send their invoices once their work is completed. They expect payment in the form of a check for the total amount of their invoice within 1-2 weeks - a fair timeline. This has been the practice for over 40 years. However, when that business signs up with AVID to write and mail out their checks, AVID takes 6-7 weeks. They deliberately delay payments to frustrate vendors, hold onto them for another week before mailing them, then finally mail them, so it takes another 2-3 weeks AFTER invoices are approved to actually receive payment - speaking from personal experience. We were always paid by check within 1 week. Several companies I've worked with have been the same - a simple check run on Wednesday, mailed, payments received by Friday - not AVID's 7 week timeframe. Further, AVID makes companies give out their phone numbers, e-mails, etc., which they misuse. They take that information, give it to telemarketers to call the businesses constantly, repeatedly to try and sell the vendors on getting paid via their Mastercard program or their direct deposit program FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF 3%!!! No, payments are non-negotiable for services previously contracted and already rendered. Additionally, certain companies are not designed for this sort of service. Payments are to be received by check within a reasonable timeframe without unnecessary delays. AVID suggests that instead of getting paid late, companies can get paid faster as long as AVID can get a percentage of the vendors' money. The business owners are not told these things when they sign up with AVID to write their checks. They have no idea that their hard-working vendors of over 40 years are being constantly harassed by AVID, who misuse the vendors' private business information for non-stop sales calls to solicit business, even when told verbally and in writing several times to STOP!! In addition to AVID being paid by the business owners to write their checks and mail them out, AVID desperately tries to get a portion of the VENDOR'S money, by saying that they will get paid faster if they sign up for their Mastercard BS program for 3% of each check!! Their website is never updated or correct, so vendors have no idea of the status of checks, and customer service does not respond to customer service calls, website service request, or emails. No business owners should use AVID for check writing and mailing. They are nothing but a Predatory company with predatory practices that are illegal, and unnecessarily stressful. Business owners would be much better off training 2 staff member how to do weekly check-runs in-house. It's not that complicated!

I really like how easy it is to use the platform. We use Avid Suite and I am on there multiple times every day. You can easily add users with the exact levels of security you choose. It is very easy to train new employees as they start with the company as well. Most of my employees are good to go after 2 days of usage. You can upgrade other pieces of the platform as your business needs and the team does well giving you what you need for training and support during the implementation process and the integration process is fairly easy and smooth. The Capture feature is one of the best out there and does a superb job of auto filling the invoice information in for you to save even more time.
