Make millions when tenants left without repairs
Axis do work for Croydon Council, but as of June 2023 another contractor is taking over. Axis have already been paid for work in advance, yet they are now only booking repairs for dates after their contract ends. They rake in millions with no costs, and the next company starts with a deficit. And as the workmen only get paid for jobs they do, they too are losing money.
And the positives are…
They say to start with the positive, unfortunately, this company leave customers with nothing positive. It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star and yet 1 has to be given to actually leave feedback.
Having had many years experience of having Axis do repairs to my home I feel in a good position to give fair and honest feedback.
This has to be one of the worst companies I have ever experienced, the workers they send out are incompetent, rude, lazy, partial to lying and have an attitude belonging in the 1950’s!!!
The office staff aren’t any better and are incredibly rude. If you dare to complain the hostility is intense and the lies start emerging. They never have any accountability for their actions and are arrogant in their approach to customers instead of empathic and lack integrity.
Their repairs are shoddy, they do not respect your home and are rude if you ask for ID and shoe covers. ID is frequently out of date, anything from days to years…one in particular was 3 years out of date!
As others have said if you complain it makes no difference and in fact you are treated much worse.
I can honestly say that the negative reviews are all genuine because these are things many like myself have experienced. We’ve heard that the housing are looking to get rid of them and are just as fed up as we are. That day cannot come soon enough.

Disgusting and incompetent I had a guy from axis come this morning to fit my bannister and I said to him someone else came last week and said He didn’t know who it was but somebody else is going around doing jobs and axis doesn’t seem to know . He said he would fit it today but I thought the other man who came was going to fix it as he told me he would .He said he would do it and went to get the bannister. On his return I noticed the bannister was wet when I pointed this out he seemed to not care and didn’t seem at all bothered. I decided to call axis to complain , I shouldn’t have bothered Patricia from the oldbury branch was rude arrogant and not empathic at all she blamed it all onto me . Ridiculous and unreliable company I called them tosend an electrician since last week until now I didn’t have an electrician unacceptable poor practice.
Lazy
Sick and tired of trying to get them to come out to fix the drainage in the block loft. When it rains it pours through my bedroom ceiling. All it takes is for them to come out, clear the blockage and leave. But no, they've got to "arrange the workforce". Meanwhile they're nice comfy and DRY in their beds while I'm up all night trying to keep dry wrapped in towels. And when this is mentioned and that I'm clinically vulnerable I get literally laughed at on the phone.

I learned that I had water in my bathroom due to the Leak from the flat above
So called the emergency number,they be turned up,took out the light fitting,and told me they would send someone to put back in when paintwork dry and electrical wires dry and safe
So I heard the workman turned up to the flat above, fixed the Leak and he knocked on my door ,said phone the office tomorrow and tell them my ceiling can be fixed has an emergency due to not being able to shower and cover the wires ,by refitting the original light???

Have to give 1star to comment, my gas has been shut off for about 8 years but the scumbags still make me lose a days wages and take tax payers money for a boiler service every year. The engineer comes round, I explain everything, I sign his paperwork and he leaves without doing a thing.

I can’t say one good thing to be fair. Been messed about and dismissed from the beginning of the job! My bathroom has been leaking into my kitchen for 6 months. Broken promises and failed appointments are just the start. The management do not respond to calls and simply put too much work onto the workers. All I want is a bathroom which isn’t going to cause further damage to my kitchen.

They have no regards for the customer, treat their staff appallingly and don’t actually care how long they leave you without gas.

Had a annual boiler service booked with Axis/Brentwood Borough Council between 8 and 1pm 9th May 2022. Engineer turned up at 12.30pm, showing me his card at the door.
He entered my house, I showed him where my boiler cupboard was. He then asked if I had a gas cooker. To which my reply was 'yes'.
Sorry can't do your boiler service as I haven't a Gas cooker certificate! He then proceeded to call his office to tell them of the news.
Very annoyed with his attitude and the way he was with, the 'Sorry Love' can't be done, has to be another day now. Axis will have to rebook.
As he was in my hallway about to leave, Axis office phoned me on my landline, to rebook for two weeks time. 23rd May 2022. Morning 8-1pm
Two days later, I had a letter from Brentwood Borough Council to say I'd missed my appointment for my annual boiler service for the morning on 9th May 2022. This would be a black mark against my tenancy agreement. Couldn't believe my eyes in what I was reading.
Obviously they have a little scam going on in which they charge Brentwood Borough for the 'so called' missed appointments, even though I let him into my house and told me his name.
I have written to Brentwood Borough to point out their scam and how I hadn't missed my appointment etc.
Don't know why the council use such an awful, unreliable, company.
Doesn't give me much confidence in their boiler servicing either. Just hope they know what their doing or do they bodge that,too?

Scaffolding was supposed to be up for…
Scaffolding was supposed to be up for 12 weeks. The scaffolding installation was delayed by 2 months and has now been up for 6 months. Half of this time, no one has been on site. Ellie the line manager provides little to none communications. Very unprofessional when she does communicate, cant tell she cannot be bothered. Constantly chasing for updates as texts are not always replied to. The workers they contract must be paid on the cheap as it shows in their work. My front and back garden have been left in a hazardous state. Despite telling Ellie numerous times she has done nothing about it. She is happy to have sharp nails, tiles and debris blocking my drains and covering my property so it is unsafe for me and my children to enter and exit. Despite being assured this would be looked into the following day - 3 weeks later I am chasing for updates. Worst company ever - spend your money elsewhere.

Ridiculous poor service-or non existent! I’m still waiting three years later for a repair to be fixed, which has now led to severe leaks into my home. If they do attend, they don’t follow up to complete, or do a rubbish job or just not show up at all. But yet, are still paid. I had someone come out nearly two weeks ago regarding my leak-it got logged TWO days ago! Nobody knows anything over there and you just get passed around to different operatives. Total sham!
THE AXIS SCAM, Worst repairs company I've ever come across
There has been a communal repair in our block that is managed by Peabody management.
AXIS has come out over 14 times in 4 years to 'review' 'fix' the work, They then go on to close the job without doing any of the work.
Then the job has to be raised again, They come out again, charged, close the job again. No work ever done.
AXIS staff have a scam going on where they don't fix your problems so they get called out again as another reviewer said. Rinse x repeat
ABSOLUTE WORSTE REPAIR/MAINTANCE COMPANY OUT THERE.

Absolute shower of s h I t e company, employing total liars who too lazy to show up for work, like everyone else said is factual truth. Loads of last minute cancellations, usual lies of sick staff, snowed under and office staff full of lies. Even when they do show up for work it's usually a substandard job your left with . I'm not maintenance man but even I know a shoddy bodge when I see one. Partially blind Lady I care for they have left her with thin plywood sheet screwed down over her floor with screw heads sticking out, kitchen units not secured to the floor, mastic work that's not neat nor actually stopping water running down back of units, leaking taps , rotten window frames and best of all fitted an internal MDF door to the outside which is peeling away more every time it rains. 3 years been trying get it changed. Disgusting treatment of the Tennant's . About time Thames valley housing gave them the marching orders as they are absolutely useless.

With out doubt the very very worst repairs contractor I have experienced. The initial repair job was to replace kitchen work tops and retire ( 6sq mt) this job was raised last April (2021) The contractors came and replaced work tops leaving huge gaps of over 3cm next the wall. They walked off with my long extension lead they borrowed too. Numerous no shows. I've now hade to empty my kitchen 5 times so the have clear access to work. The latest is the contractors cam for a 6 hour work slot last Thursday, to avoid past experienced of BULL MANURE was ready with bullet point list and diagrams to show what work needed doing. The first reaction from the contractor was there's no way they could get that amount of work done in 6 hours they were also appalled at the quality of the work that had been done. The recently replaced work tops had to be ripped out and replaced, thankfully this time competently and to a high standard and an appointment was made for the next day for the tiling to be done, appointment time 8am-1pm. Not for the first time a no show. The call centre said they had called at 1.01pm but there was no reply.......more BULL MANURE!, as the community nurse had no problem gaining access at mid day and Amazon had been able to deliver too. An axis van was observed in the street by a neighbour with driver sat in cabin doing nothing for 5 mins before driving off without leaving a called but you weren't in note. The call centre told me he'd been called to an emergency but would return that afternoon. Yeh you guessed it same story called but no reply. More BULL MANURE.
Having family in buliding/maintainable trade I'm all to aware that Fridays means an early finish and contractors will do anything not to have to do a long job so as to finish early. Your contractors are taking the urine AXIS and it's probably contributed to the reported reason that you're about to loose Onwards contract. If I could give no stars I would. I'm more inclined to believe Boris in regards to him to No 10 partygate that the BULL MANURE from AXIS
