On my recommendation, my partner did a CASS bank switch and Barclays messed it up leaving him £4.07 in debit on his current account. Can't pay it himself as the switch means payments are redirected to the new account. A long call to an overseas call centre and told to phone my old bank. A long call to my old bank and told to call Barclays. Called Barclays again and they couldn't help as their account switch team only respond to internal emails between 10am and 2pm. The agent refused to take the issue away and get it resolved. Will now have phone back tomorrow for the 4th time.

I had a good experience today in Carmarthen branch.
Charlene was very helpfull and explained everything clearly to me.

I had bought something from Shein. Then I kept getting alerts from Barclays fraud dept saying £37.10 had been taken out of my account by a website called challenge something or other - apparently a diet company.
I called Barclays who blocked my card and sent me a new one.
The same day, I got another Barclays fraud text saying challenge had attempted to take another £37.10 from my new card.
I went into my branch (Southgate St Glos) and it was sorted in10 minutes. The clerk removed my card details from every website I'd used and left me feeling much more secure. He let me withdraw money until my new card arrived - possibly in a week's time.
It arrived the following morning.
I can't thank Barclays fraud dept enough for being so diligent and Barclays for getting me a new card immediately.

I Went to the Barclays hub in the market square Brackley today. Sophia was so helpful and managed to resolve the issue that I had. Highly recommend Sophia she went above and beyond to help me.

Ordered orthopedic shoes. The company wasn’t at address and they scammed and set of a recurring payment. Zero help from Barclays after three weeks. My daughter had an issue with a different bank and it was immediately dealt with. I’m leaving Barclays.

Walked in and had an appointment with Anson in oswestry today . Very helpful and a lovely chap . Would highly recommend him. Five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️

We visited Barclays Branch High Street Birmingham today, this Indian pregnant Staff booked us in. Every time we come to visit this branch and she is the one dealing with us she is making our visit a waste of time and cannot do anything to deal with our concerns. But as soon as we try to ring the Telephone Support or visit another branch or see a different staff with exactly the same issue we were dealt with respect and support were given. The only reason we visit this branch is accessible whenever we go shopping in City Centre. I cannot understand why she behaves in such way and I feel discriminated whenever visiting this branch.

I needed to transfer my existing ISA to another ISA as it was about to mature.

Barclays Local, Hartlepool. Although I do miss a proper bank in town, the lady who works at the Barclays Local at the CAB offices has always provided me with excellent service when I have gone there be it dealing with scams or other issues.

Joined Barclays via switching. Opened an account and provided my previous banks account details. 2 weeks later found out they did not do the switch. I contacted customer service who checked with their switching department who claimed they didn’t receive any details to switch. My previous bank details were definitely provided when opening the account. Useless bank, will be closing my account with them shortly.

Just been into Barclays branch in Leamington Spa. Needed to pay cash into my account, which I prefer to do at a counter, but unfortunately no counter service on Saturdays ?
I was the only customer and the very friendly assistant, Amy, was straight over to assist, in fact she carried out the whole process for me !
Whilst it is a bit of a frustration that Barclays provide no counter service on the weekend, I must commend them on the high level of professionalism of the staff that do man the bank on a weekend.
Bank 6 out of 10, Amy 10 out of 10 ! - Thank you.

The branch staff are always so helpful and I would give them a 5/5. But today I had to deal with their telephone line which gets 1/5. This was to query a payment and transfer and it was like talking to a brick-wall. That didn't know what he was talking about and his English was well lets just say I have heard better.

Very helpfull,the lady i spoke to today went above and beyond to help me today give her a rise.

Michael at doncaster branch is on another level of excellence. He is very astute, intelligent on banking matters and also he follows up diligently. I had an important matter and he dealt with it on an exceptional level. Well done Michael. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Absolutely raging. I have been with Barclays Bank for 34 years, never have I defaulted in payments, always trusted them to handle my money. I received a letter "accusing" me of what appeared to be dishonesty. Because I inherited money from my mother - and because my partner of 23 years exchanged money between accounts - I became "suspicious" I wrote and replied to all their concerns with the information they asked. Their response? They are closing my account! That's how you treat people! Clearly based on their financial woes - I can understand that they are trying to get rid of the small people. Whatever! By the way - I don't need an apology from "Kate" or whoever. I'm just letting know others that they are not alone. BTW - just to pre-empt - I'm closing the account now!

On the 17th of April 2026 at 10am I spoke to a member of staff to have my expired bond transfered to my account .
The account was closed on 18th March 2026 and I was told it would take upto three working days . It is now the 24th April and no sign of my money. Barclays bank have lied to me since closing my account on 18th March. I am desperate for my money , my complaints ref is ..

I had to call in to the Parade, Leamington Spa branch today and was greeted by a very helpful member of staff. Amy managed to sort out an issue I had with the pinsentry gadget and talked me through all what she was doing.
