Battle Steel Reviews

They sent me the wrong vest and it took forever to get it.

The checkout process was familiar and straightforward. This is a huge PLUS for most of us that do a fair amount on Online shopping. Our package arrived as promised.

Great price, excellent service, and fast shipping.

Extremely well priced products prompt shipping

I palced an order for Flexible Armor for Vertx Gamut 2.0 Backpacks on 9/30/22. Later got it in the mail, nothing special, regular delivery. Tried to fit it into my Vertx Gamut 2.0 (Gamut) backpack and was disappointed immideately - it didn't fit. I was sceptical before ordering it, because in the description picture it is just a rectangular plate, whereas the Armor plate pocket in the Gamut and the Gamut itself has a "tapered" at the top shape. Other popular brand which makes Gamut armor plates, have them tapered shape - its easy to find online.
I contacted their support, send them pictures of Gmaut original (tapered) plastic insert that comes with the backpack next to their armor plate (straight rectangular) and got the short answer that:
1. It is the right shape and it fits.
2. They don't give a pig's tail about how other companies do it.
I tried sending them the photo againg, describing that tapered means wider on one end (at the bottom) and narrower on the other end (at the top) and when you try to put a straight rectangular plate it will simply not fit in there.
Next reply was the email with the picture form their website with 5.11 backpack with their plate in it in the common pocket of the backpack.
On that I mentioned that its not a Gamut backpack in the picture + Gamuts have a dedicated pocket for the plates. They don't go into the common pocket area together with your backpack stuff.
After this I had a response that they can give me an RMA# for the return but not paying for anything, because THIS IS THE CORRECT ITEM.

And that was the response from Rina - Customer Service Supervisor. Well, if THIS is a supervisor, I'm scared to imagine how it is to deal with their regular representatives.
Be aware, that Battle Steel is a rebranded Botach.com. Obviously, rebranding didn't help - something tells me that the issues are within.
Buyers beware.

I got the level 3 special threat. Definitely light weight and not to thick so stock positioning is the same. Mutli-curve hugs well enough...could be a little move curved at top towards the collar but it's fine. Hopefully they never have to be tested in a real scenario and hopefully they do their job. Gunsandgear as well as iraqivet8888 have great reviews/demonstrations of these plates. Coating was even and they look well made. Shipped fast and you can't beat the price for since they are basically a lightweight level 4. I recommend

Great product, excellent price and very fast turnaround.

Great First time experience Honestly. I know a lot of people say a lot of bad things, I got lucky or they have done much better with their shipment process. Got my Soft armor right on time and Everything worked out for me. Thank you Battle Steel!

Good to go, going to place more orders later.

Quick shipping. Good prices. Haven't used the product yet, but to this point impressed.

Left a message that I needed my stuff by a certain date, and they got it done! Also, love the product.

I've made several purchases from this company. They always seem to have what I want when I want it; and for cheaper than almost every other store I check. Their free shipping also helps my wallet. I've purchased ammunition, steel plates, ballistic backpack and various other items. I can strongly recommend them.

This product fits well with the Guard Dog Dane carrier. Hopefully I will never ever need to utilize this product. I wish I would have been notified of the backorder status on these. I thought they were in stock when I placed an order. Customer service responded each time I inquired.

These are high quality. Nicely made.
Very heavy though. My kids will get stronger carrying these in their backpacks.

Competitive quality name brands at very competitive prices. Excellent service.

Ordering was simple and had no issues placing my order. Received confirmation quickly along with shipping updates and tracking information. Package was delivered on time. Items were lightweight and my kids have no weight knowledge of the item in their book bags. Hopefully I never fully will know the full protection of this product but I’m confident in my purchase. Thank you Battlesteel!

Wonderful. My plates were easy to order and they got delivered in 3 days. The price was affordable also.

Order was easy and came very quick. Product is very nice
