I've just purchased my second car (and sold my first), via Baytree. The service has been impeccable. Having not viewed the cars in person (I live in Scotland) i was amazed that both cars were better than the photos! I've no doubt I'll be back in a few years again.

Buying and selling a performance car can be a nerve wracking experience. The quality of service that I received from Baytree in general but Josh in particular was outstanding . I got an excellent trade in on my car and the car that I purchased was serviced to Bentley standards and a new battery was fitted without argument. My cars was delivered by an experienced driver, having been valeted and detailed. Great service, good guys, I would highly recommend Baytree Cars to anyone thinking of buying a performance car.

Shocking experience
Made an initial enquiry by auto trader on the Tuesday, received an e mail asking for photos of my Mercedes part ex, it was a busy week so I contacted “Josh” on the Friday afternoon
Sent over pictures and gave all details ( the price another dealer had offered against a very similar car ) Josh assured me he would get straight on it and get back to, at no point did he say “ would you like to pay a holding deposit “ or that Saturday was his day off, consequently I heard nothing.
On approximately 1pm on Saturday I called and spoke to another gentleman and explained the situation who told me he would again get straight on it and try to sort it, by 4.30 pm I had heard nothing again !!
I called and got yet another person who when I told him which vehicle it was I was interested in I was told “it’s been sold this morning to a person who travelled 4 hours today “ whom had apparently called AFTER MY INTIAL INQUIRY
I complained and was told a member of management would call me in Tuesday, you guessed it no call
I called yesterday at 6 pm, a young lady said I will pass this on
I then received a text not a call from Josh
basically saying they don’t take a deposit until all figures have been agreed, which is just stupid as sometimes it can take a couple of days for Finnance to come through
They are a bunch of incompetent idiots who just pass the buck and blame one another
Imagine the after sales service if this is how they treat a buyer of a Bentley

Purchased an Audi R8 from Tim at…
Purchased an Audi R8 from Tim at Baytree last October. Great car for a few weeks until it developed a misfire, spoke to Tim and he was very helpful, I took it to a local guy who diagnosed the fault but couldn't do all the work, so it was collected by Baytree and taken to a specialist in Derby who they knew. It turned out to be a very long repair as well as a couple of other components failing whilst it was with them. However Tim kept me updated weekly on progress and was nothing but professional the whole way through. I have just had the car delivered back to me today and it's in great shape, in addition Baytree valeted the car and a full tank of fuel. I know this repair cost Baytree a lot of money but Tim was nothing but helpful and apologetic for the problem. I would definitely recommend Baytree for a friendly, professional service with excellent after sales care.

The professional way that Tim looked after us during the purchase of the Bentley, was second to none. We felt cared for and valued throughout the purchase to collection.
The car has been fully serviced, ceramic coated with all documentation present and correct. Even helped source my registration plates and fit them to the car pre-pick up. Great impression, i will use them again for future purchases. Thank you Tim.

AUDI RS4. Front tyre poorly patched. Front alloy bent.
Bought Audi RS4 from Emily @ Baytree April 2024. After a few months the Tyre Pressure warning light lit up every few days so had tyres checked by Tanvic Tyres.
Nearside front alloy wheel bent. Front offside tyre holed & cheaply patched. Tyre patches do not last so our car lost pressure after 6 months of ownership. The car had obviously had an incident prior to purchase.
Spoke to General Manager Dean who said their cars are checked, implied we'd damaged the car & laughed!
Had either/both tyres deflated we could have had a serious accident. We dont think that is a laughing matter.
They may have prestige cars in stock but the after-sales is anything but prestige.
Read before buying!!!
I bought a 2019 C63s from them thinking it would be fully checked and in great condition! Oh how I was wrong!! Iv had to go through a years worth of legal battle to try and get my money back on a car that had many issues and they wouldn’t take it back after 2/3 weeks of having it. Terrible company!! Replying to their response: Mercedes proved that all brakes were warped and need changing plus when I picked it up I had to take it to the garage because two front tyres were down to the wire in places!! Professional place apparently! They gave in just before court because they knew they’d have to pay more!

Purchase of vehicle
I recently purchased a vehicle from Baytree. My initial enquiry was handled by Emily who was most helpful and obliging throughout the whole experience. I have no hesitation in recommending both Emily and Baytree to any prospective purchasers of prestige vehicles from their extensive range.
Bentley GTC
I recently purchased a slightly elderly (2008) but well cared for Bentley GTC from Baytree. I had been searching for one, on and off, for a while and spotted the car on their site. I contacted Emily who assured me the car was "as nice as it looked" but she was totally upfront admitting there ere some minor chips to the front as you'd expect for a 16 year old car. I agreed to drive from Lancashire and loved the car as it ticked every box I had set my heart on. After a generous test drive Emily then left me to inspect the car close up ay my leisure and un-hindered by interruption, something I really appreciated. After a series of conversations a deal was struck, Emily made me a fair offer for my trade in which reflected and offset the slightly high asking price for the Bentley. I have now had the Bentley a couple of weeks, I have 1 minor issue which I hope to sort locally but as i said, it's a sixteen yar old car.
As a fully qualified motor engineer of some 30+ years I have rarely felt more impressed by a garage/dealer and can highly recommend. Every vehicle was presented to the highest standard with plenty of room to inspect and I found their/Emily's no nonsense approach very refreshing, if and when I change again Baytree will be my first port of call.

Disappointment
Recently purchased a Mclaren from Baytree Cars in Derby.
First encounter was when i enquired about the car, being upfront with the sales person i said i was fussy and wanted to know if there was Any stonechips / damage /or problems with the car before i made the 6 hour round trip to view on a Sunday.
On arrival the cars in the showroom are of very good quality and appeal.
On inspection of the Mclaren i immediately spotted a rust spot on the drivers front wing in clear view!
"Oh sorry i didnt see that" was the response.
There was a further scratch under the passenger front door (doors opening upwards) so was very visible with the door open.
However i agreed to purchase the vehicle subject to the defects being rectified. The car also needed a service and Mot so left a sizable deposit to collect the vehicle when all was complete. This was on the 02nd June.
I was updated weekly along the preparation process which i was pleased with.
One part of the paint defect (Under warranty was completed by Mclaren and the other scratch was done by their "Local" Paint shop.
Obviously i would have prefered Mclaren to have done both jobs due to the caliber of vehicle i was purchasing.
Collection was finally arranged on Friday 12th July well over a month later.
The evening before i was due to collect i had a call saying the ppf that was replaced when the wing was painted had a mark in it so would have to reschedule the collection.
Another phone call the same evening was to say i still collect the car the next day as the ppf guy was going to come in early in the morning to "re-do" the paint protection film.
On the much anticipated collection of the Mclaren i could see two marks in the ppf and a very visable rubber seal all deformed due to the fact the guy who installed the ppf couldnt be bothered to remove the original adhesive holding it on so it therefore stuck out because two layers of torn adhesive were visible and was mis-shappen.
I said i would sort this issue out as didn't want another 6 hour round trip.
Luckily i also noticed the battery charger adapter was missing so wouldn't have been able to charge the battery with the factory charger when i got the car home?
The salesman offered me a reduction of £250 due to the inconvenience of me having to sort the seal out which took me 3 hours to remove all the adhesive when i arrived home with my new car!
The car was sold with Mclaren warranty which has still not been transferred to my name despite numerous communications. So i am also sorting this out despite the fact over 2 months has now passed since they knew i was having the car.
I have purchased quite a few high end vehicles over the years and have received much better standards from all.
Not exactly the professional flagship experience that is portrayed i am afraid.
Car is lovely but unfortunately due to the customer service and especially the lack of attention to detail the shine has been taken off my experience.
