Scammers bastards.....they try to get money off my account...thnx God I have two step verification payment. I encourage everyone to have this method on their bank accounts so as no shady payments get through!

Very grateful to all the other contributors to this thread. Same thing happened to me when I was signing up for a completely different website. Got contacted by my bank very quickly and then found all this information online. Have now contacted Be books to cancel the subscription with immediate effect and the payments have all been declined anyway. Have been told no damage done but need to be vigilant on my account. Be wary.

Scammed from a fake parking app sticker someone had put on a ticket machine in a car park. Took £1 from account to make it look like you had paid for parking then a few days later tried to take a further £39.99 from account.

If I could give lower I would they have taken money without my consent which is theft

Just had similar experience as to previous reviews. Was ordering personalised gifts on an in-store DIY machine using QR code. Usually switched on re fraudulent sites, check for padlocks, scams, redirects etc but have never heard of QR codes being scammed. Came up asking for pre authorisation which I assumed was part of the process. 3 days later £1 and £39.99 pending transaction on my account under BBooks.space. Contacted my bank as never heard of them, did not agree to any subscription. They advised it was BeBooks.com, digital book subscription. Raised this as fraudulent transactions and cancelled my card. Bit of searching on Internet, found these reviews and their website. Emailed BeBooks, first email response, goodwill gesture 50% refund as they advised I had agreed to 3 day free trial period then monthly subscription, accepted terms and conditions. Second email after reminding them of my Consumer rights (14 days cooling period) and I did not knowingly sign up for subscription or have written terms and conditions from them, requested cancellation of subscription, refund of payment etc. This worked as replied back advising everything has been cancelled. Now leaving it with the fraud team at my bank just in case there are any other attempts to take money out in January. Scary lesson learnt re QR codes and how easy it is to be redirected to another site without your full knowledge. It just appeared on the same screen as if part of the process for personalised gifts, enter email address for your order, pre authorisation.

Like a lot of people here when I tried to pay for parking ringgo app and ended up being scammed by Bebooks.space when trying to obtain parking ticket. Had a £1 transaction in her Monzo account. Contacted bank.

So far i have found Bebooks.space bechef.club and gamesbox.pro all scammer.

Be careful when paying for parking with ringGo app around Nottingham!!

Tried to pay for parking and ended up joining Be Book! Thank goodness Monzo checked it and rejected the 39.99 payment!!!

0 STARS Absolute scam signed up for subscription never signed upto taken over £40 reported to bank but cantdispute payment till it leaves pending.

Update: cancelled but never received confirmation as stated, emailed and requested cancellation and refund to be ignored and natwest as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Companies House show Digotech Limited director as Chloe Emma Holland at the same address.

Be books took 2 payments of £39-99 for a subscription that i didnt sign up for ..its a scam ..taking money from.people i would lile my money refunded please .how do i go about getting a refund

A total scam. I was trying to verify my premier sports account when it popped up asking me to verify by credit card. they signed me up. Realising it was a scam from previous reviews I stopped my credit card and reported it bas a scam the took one lot of £1 and a Furter £3 despite me unsubscribing on their web site 3 times and receiving no confirmation. they then tried to take a payment of 39.95 which my bank rejected. I contacted them by phone and the account was still active and asked them to cancel. still not received a confirmation. Please be aware

SCAM!!!! I was offered a “birthday gift” from a beauty brand / all I had to pay was £1.99 postage… Then this company took a further £39.99 saying I had signed up for a subscription that never existed!!!! Reported to online fraud and my bank!

SCAM, I was signing up for a Stan subscription in Aust last night and the QR code came up on my television to activate the streaming service and as others I re entered my credit card thinking the first entry did not go through and guess what, $1 charge instantly and then $59 about 2 minutes later, lucky our phone pinged us and we locked the card. Be careful peeps

I scanned a QR code on a different website as it said get a 5% discount. Unknown to me it took me to Bebooks webpage where I filled in my email address and debit card details, thinking it was for the other website. They took £1 and then tried today on 2 occasions to take £39.99. I contacted my bank who had declined the payment and blocked this company. My bank told me that they might make small changes to the name to attempt to take this monthly subscription and to keep an look out for this.
I also went to the Bebooks website and sure enough there was a subscription under my email address. I cancelled this using their webpage and also sent them an email to unsubscribe. I told them if they did not desist I would contact the Fraud office and report them. I cannot post the link as its prohibited.

SCAM, I scanned a QR code at check out, on the Walmart website, to download their app. When I opened the app, It did ask for a credit card, I just thought for verification, the next thing I know Bebooks.space, was charging my credit card.

2 x £39.99 taken from my account. I have informed my bank's fraud department and the money has been retrieved. No idea what the company is, no direct contact details and I have no idea how they got access to my money.

what a bad company... what they do is, hijacking the user while being on other sites, for ex. setting up a service on a company. While finalizing that service, I got hjijacked by their service, and before you know it, you have got a subscription to their site. I have cancelled the subscription, but it seems my initial subscription fee, is lost.

If I could give minus stars I would SCAM - steer clear

Took 39.99 was taken from my account, got a refund off my bank, then there was another further 39.99 taken out of my account so I rang my bank and raised another dispute, they said they could not refund me, I wouldn’t mind I don’t even know what this company is or I have not used this app, I don’t even have an email to say I have subscribed to this app, does not seem my bank account is not safe anymore, I’ve even deleted my wallet and Apple Pay too, because this appears to where they might be taken these payments from, my bank has put a block on this too.
