Very Responsive Upgrade, Great Valuefor the Price
great screen and improvement to my f32 - once you get your settings dialed up in the beginning, it auto-launches and is very seamless/responsive. Ask for the PDF of troubleshooting tips when you first order it, it will help. I originally installed my optical cable upside down (it is 2 connected pins and the orientation matters). The PDF steered me right. Smooth ever since.

Ordered two kits for our Porsche 911…
Ordered two kits for our Porsche 911 and Porsche Panamera 970. Installation wasn't bad at all, just a bit time consuming. That is to be expected however and beats paying a mechanic. Software is snappy and both cars look much newer inside. PS; "Alex" was very helpful and although I did not really need the support, he answered two particular questions I had quickly!

Awful customer service
Like other reviews say, any attempt to ask them a question is met with derogatory and insulting comments! I have never encountered customer service like this in all my years.
They tell you that you shouldn't have bought the product, and to send it back if you can't work it out. Send a pathetic set of instructions in the box, then wonder why it's more difficult than it should be! Apparently all installation material is on the website, (I've yet to find it)
If you are confident about fitting and working the product(which I am) then its fine, but should you have any teething issues, then good luck with trying to source any help from them.
I actually think you are better off buying from china, Im sure they would not treat customers in such a disgusting manner...

All of our full length PDFs are hosted right there on our website by visiting the INSTALLATION / SUPPORT tab.
Anyone is free to go take a look.
It is an entire website in your native language (English) that tells you everything you need to know and houses many documents.
Upon purchase, the password to unlock these files is sent to you. It is a very easy process.
If you do not get the password, you simply message us for the documentation.
The combined pages equal 14 pages of material.
You were told this twice.
If clicking a link and downloading a comprehensive PDF is too difficult to bare, then I am uncertain why you own a BMW of all cars and further decided to purchase our most technologically advanced unit.
You are also dealing with a factory in Asia, not a hometown radio shop.
Your communication must be more direct and different. You must follow the instructions and material we provide.
If you need a different approach, then you need to NOT buy from factories directly. Buying from a dropshipper, retailer or reseller will be your best method.

The order was cancelled because it was understood that you expressed that you could not wait. This was also sent to you in a seperate email.
The order was cancelled and refunded consequently.
We primarily serve BULK purchases for dealers, mechanics, shops, etc.
You are a single time buyer who attempted to purchase from us, which is fine, however there are differences in the logistics process.
Further, anytime you deal with a factory directly, it is a different process than merely paying a retailer who will sell you our items for 2x the cost or a generic copy. Your communication must be more direct.
I hope you found a solution for your vehicle.

I'm avoiding this company.
(Review based on customer service experience, pre-purchase.)
I wanted to get touchscreen Apple Carplay in my Bmw without the audio being fed to the aux port. BimmerDirect state their system "Uses factory OEM sound on vehicles with factory Bluetooth streaming."
It wasn't clear from their website whether their products use Bluetooth to stream audio to the car or if your car has factory Bluetooth, the system is able to pipe audio directly to the car head unit by wire.
I asked BimmerDirect if they could send me more detailed tech specs and the user manual but they said they don't send instructions to non-verified customers. This raised alarm bells.
I then sent a detailed message with the questions I wanted answers to, and also questioned their decision not to provide tech specs, user manual etc. to prospective customers. They replied with "best of luck in your search."
For what it's worth, I contacted another company (Integrated Automotive) about their products and they sent me their setup guides within 24 hours.
I wanted this carplay screen to be the product I am looking for but based on this experience I won't be buying anything from BimmerDirect.
I gave two stars rather than one because at least they did respond to me.

We do not give our our instructions for free because it is copyrighted intellectual property. In the US, this material is protected by law since it is very indepth and specifically applies to our product.

Finally,
The company which you have chosen to purchase from is simply reselling generic TEMU / AliExpress modules.
Our factory devices are not available on these low quality TEMU / AE platforms because we have tighter requirements and make our devices for professional use.
I am happy that your TEMU / AliExpress device is serving you well but you can not expect to simply get free copyrighted material just because you ask for it.
A more kind approach would have led to us sending you one of several videos of individuals installing our products and showing you the process.
