We booked an appointment to view and test drive a car for a client. Matt was great, explained in detail the process and took us out for a test drive. He sorted out everything for leasing a motobility car and from start to picking the vehicle up , we felt supported all the way . First class customer service.

The vehicle is worth for money and the salesperson is very responsible.

Non pushy staff and very professional. Friendly and laidback so felt at ease but also very informed as answered all my questions with detail and clarity. Jack Bearne was the main staff that dealt with my sale and couldn't reccomend him enough.

I have had the worst experience with Birchwood Kia in Eastbourne. I am still waiting after 8 months for my issue to be resolved! I have never been treated so badly by a main dealership ….. their customer service is not a priority, and I am STILL waiting for them to return my 4 phone calls from last Thursday!!

I found the staff very helpful. Adam was knowledgeable and friendly. Everything ran perfectly on time and the small areas of prep were completed perfectly. The only niggle (but too small to lose a star) would be to ensure that all software updates have been completed prior to handover, but this was booked straight in when it became apparent.

Originally went to Birchwood Kia Eastbourne to test drive a Kia, but ended up buying a Peugeot 208 GT Line. Throughout the whole process Eddie was so helpful. He wasn’t pushy, especially given that we didn’t take the Kia. Nothing was too much trouble and he was so natural. A real asset to Birchwood

I have had many Motability vehicles over the years and have NEVER had such efficient friendly service as I’ve just experienced with MG. Adam Barleycorn deserves either employee of the month or a bonus in his pay. I was quite anxious about swapping to a different car and he made the experience as easy and reassuring as I could have wished for so big thank you to him personally. I would recommend to anyone. If I had any criticism at all it would be that after several reminders he forgot my hot apple pie.

From day 1 of our search for an electric vehicle until collection, I have to say, what a commendable service that Kia Birchwood offer. Every care was taken to ensure that we chose the correct car, and we were given regular updates. Matthew and James in particular were 'key' to keeping us at ease throughout the whole experience. I have had an absolutely terrible experience with MG Eastbourne. Very poor communication, extremely rude and disrespectful. Actually hung up on me when trying to discuss an order. Avoid if you are a Motability customer as they treat you like a second class citizen. Dan was the worst but several staff members also did not pass on messages and were unprofessional. An extremely upsetting and disappointing experience. Never again!!! AVOID!!

I bought a Kia EV3 from Birchwood @ Washington last month and really recommend both the car and the sales team. I had spoken to Matthew Hemmingway in the spring to make an appointment for a test drive. During our meeting Matthew put me at my ease, explained things and answered my questions. As I was moving from a hybrid to an EV I was cautious about how different the car would be. I was fully reassured and enjoyed the test drive. I returned shortly afterwards to place an order for a new EV3 and to part exchange my existing car.
The car arrived in early August and it was simple to make a convenient appointment to sign the paperwork and drive the car away.
At all times Birchwood have been responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. A pleasure to deal with.

I would recommend Birchwood Kia Chichester to friends and family because they had a good selection of vehicles and were helpful without being pushy. I was able to book a test drive when it suited me, Sam was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The trade in for my car was easy, as was payment of both deposit and balance. Collecting my car was simple and easy and everything was efficient. I would recommend for great customer service.

I bought a one year old second hand KIA. As the 20000 mile service had been missed, I was informed that the seven year warranty would not cover the engine but that all electrical, air con etc would be.
The offside wing mirror did not adjust via controls and my vendor contacted KIA to establish whether this was covered. We were informed that it was and an appointment was booked it in for two weeks later.
On the day, I was told that this was not covered due to a scuff mark on rear of mirror; not an impact, a scuff.
I was told that this would not be covered (despite previous assurance) and that I would have to pay £168 plus vat.
As such their warranty is not really worth anything at all. I feel generous giving a one star review as even that was not earned.

Matthew Hemmingway made the whole experience of car purchase a worry free and enjoyable occasion,with his expert knowledge and very helpful information regarding gap insurance. This is the third time we have bought a car from him and would recommend anyone wishing to buy a Kia to ask for him personally.
