I wanted to share a genuinely brilliant experience with Bird & Blend Tea Co. following a recent issue that was resolved with real care and humanity.
I popped into the Chiswick store as arranged on a day when it was snowing and absolutely freezing and I’d cycled over to make the prearranged appointment. I ordered a sticky chai to warm up and it was unexpectedly outstanding - soothing, comforting and exactly what I needed after battling the cold on my bicycle. When SJ, the store manager, realised I’d made the effort to come in despite the weather, she very kindly insisted on giving me the tea on the house. It was such a thoughtful, unexpected gesture and meant more to me than she probably realised. ✨️😇
SJ was warm, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our encounter and she handled everything swiftly, smoothly and professionally. What could have been a stressful situation was turned into a genuinely positive and memorable experience. Between the kindness shown to me by SJ and that sticky chai, I’ve been completely converted to Bird & Blend Tea Co - a happy customer for life!
This is a company that clearly cares about people, not just policies, and that really matters. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. ✨️🐦🩷♨️

I am really disappointed. Purchased the Matcha Selection Box for a Christmas gift - so with postage was over £40. When it arrived it just looked like I was gifting a box of free samples. I was so embarrassed. I wrongly assumed it would be presented beautifully in a Tin or at least a substantial gift box - it was just thin cardboard.

I raised my disappointment with Customer Service and there was no real acknowledgement. Just a standard “you can return it if you don’t like it” which I obviously couldn’t as I had already gifted it. Not sure what I was expecting - but maybe some acknowledgement of my disappointment and empathy. So now I feel disappointed in the gift and very unheard by the company.

This was not what I was expecting from their marketing. They are effectively just another corporate who takes your money and doesn’t care about your experience.

Tried Bird blend tea for the 1st time yesterday. The breakfast tea tasted awesome but have given 4 stars as had to put 2 heap spoons in and not one as recom on packaging. Did however order builders tea so hoping that will be stronger and last longer.otherwise.. happy customer

First time I have visited this shop and what a delight it was. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Sampled some tea- delicious. I will be returning soon.

I had an online query, about my mum who has had a liver transplant. Certain peels (specifically Seville Oranges) can cause issues with certain anti-rejection medication and I wanted to asked if any teas had this. Katie responded, and went above and beyond to find out if this was the case and later emailed me with a response - and luckily bird and blend use Sweet Oranges (not Seville). Very happy to hear about this and Katie was of great help - means a lot :)

So I started purchasing regular matcha tea this year and when the advent calendar came up, I decided to give it a try even though it is expensive for me.

Unfortunately there were issues with the advent calendar. The lids have not been attached properly and so they were popping off when trying to get it out the calendar. To begin with they replaced the tins which I was happy with, but by day 7, 5 of the tins had the lids come off. So I asked to send it back for a refund.

They gave me a refund without arguing, which I appreciate.

Advent calendars are meant to create joy and be a special treat. Especially for those of us that find this time of year difficult. I really hope they have better quality control going forward to stop these issues.

I've only knocked one star off as I think the quality of the drinks is really good. I tried a few different matchas from different companies and theirs is definitely the best. I may not personally enjoy every flavour they do, but that's not a fault of the company. It's a risk you take when you buy anything like this.

I go into bird and blend stores often and always have a nice experience. I currently can't leave home so decided to order online. I got to picking my method of payment and selected Google pay, which then automatically selected an old delivery address for my order. Unlike other websites where it will ask you to check details before confirming your order, the bird and blend website just placed it with no chance to correct the address error. This happened on a Friday evening and I contacted them within 30mins over email and WhatsApp but I got automated responses that they don't monitor messages over the weekend. First thing Monday and I get a reply saying if you still need help send another message. I reply and just get a "sorry, your order has already been dispatched" reply. I then call them and they offer no further support. So my package is now going to somewhere I haven't lived in a long time and there's nothing they can do and barely even an apology for their poor website or customer service system. I'm not the only person I know who this has happened to either. Please make it so your website either has a way to amend your order details or if you are going to post over the weekend then also monitor your emails over the weekend. Very disappointed with ordering online, the lack of help from customer services and the lack of any compensation. I won't be buying online again.

The starry night tea is one of the nicest teas I have ever tried, also I have the tea advent calander, only 3 days in but can confidently say the tea provided is probably the nicest available. Will 100% be ordering more in the future.

Ordered some eggnog matcha and the electric whisk thing. Very pleased with both. My only gripe is that my order came in a relatively big delivery box, which seemed a bit wasteful. Cannot fault the product, though!

I love this company and their practices and products are top notch!

I visited their shop in Brighton last year and came back with serval teas. Since then I have made several orders.

I have never been into tea until now and I am completely addicted. Their tea is wonderful, beautiful to look at, full of flavour, they smell amazing and very comforting to drink and worth every penny. I love the natural ingredients and their environmental practices.

This week I did receive a wrong order. I emailed over the weekend and then called this morning.
I spoke to customer services ( an actual person!) she was very apologetic and I received an email immediately after my call. I can keep the wrong order 40 pouches of Snowball and my correct order Mulled cider is on its way! ☺️

Teas I love
Mulled cider is- spicy apple and very warming
Cherry Bakewell - sweet and delicious
Rhubarb and custard- makes me feel like I’m eating sweets when I’m not! Probably my favourite
Edinburgh rock - delicious and comforting

I’m not so keen on Snowball and All things nice, just not my sort of flavours.

The staff are so friendly and knowledgable. I loved seeing how the Matcha was made in the magic whisk. The whole place is a hidden gem. If you like tea you'll love this place.

This a brand new store in Bluewater shopping centre. It’s welcoming and full of the most amazing, different varieties of tea-all delicious (well, the 6 samples I tried). The staff are really lovely too!! And..they do gift vouchers!

Really great experience in store today. The team were so helpful and shared insights on blends. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff in shop, but product (Sunny Sencha Green Tea) tasteless and expensive after numerous attempts of strengthening brews.

Could not recommend popping in more! I visited the Canterbury branch and the staff are friendly, polite and more than willing to lend a hand and as an extra positive the free teas were absolutely delicious :)

A big thank you to all of the staff at the branch on Bold Street, Liverpool! A couple of friends and I visited on Saturday, and we were warmly welcomed in and invited to sample the various teas. It was no problem at all when I said that I wasn't much of a tea drinker, but wanted to try new flavours. I bought a small sachet of "cherry cola bottle" tea, and already want to buy a top-up!
