I don't usually write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to warn others before purchasing from Black Hawk Japan.

I purchased two items from them, one of which was a Works Bell Boss Kit. During the purchasing process, their communication was excellent, they were responsive to enquiries, dispatched the order quickly, and delivery was on time.

Unfortunately, the experience completely changed once I encountered an issue.

I followed the installation instructions exactly and was only hand tightening the Works Bell Boss Kit when it cracked. I immediately contacted Black Hawk Japan on 20 April to report the defect.

Here's the timeline of what followed:

- 20 April: Emailed Black Hawk Japan to report the defective Boss Kit.
- 24 April: They responded, asked me to return the item to Japan, and advised they would reimburse the return shipping costs.
- 4 May: I shipped the item back at my own expense.
- 12 May: Tracking confirmed the item had been delivered back to Japan.
- 12 May, 19 May & 22 May: I sent follow-up emails asking if they had received the item and requesting an update. No response.
- 27 May & 1 June: I sent additional emails after receiving no reply. Again, no response.
- 9 June: After almost a month of silence, I contacted them via WhatsApp, which finally prompted a response.
- 11 June: They advised they would investigate the issue.
- 29 June: As of today, I have still received no further updates or resolution.

I'll give them 2 out of 5 stars because they are responsive before and during the sale, and their shipping is prompt. However, their after sales customer service has been extremely disappointing.

It's one thing for a product to have a manufacturing defect, these things can happen. What's unacceptable is the complete lack of communication once the item has been returned. Having to repeatedly chase updates through multiple emails over more than six weeks, only to receive virtually no response, is frustrating and unprofessional. If they had no intention of providing timely support, they should have been upfront about it rather than asking me to spend additional money returning the item.

If you're considering purchasing from Black Hawk Japan, just be aware that if something goes wrong, you may be left waiting months for any meaningful communication or resolution if you're lucky enough..

I had a very disappointing experience purchasing from Black Hawk Japan.
I ordered ignition coils for my Subaru XV GP7 FB20, but the product I received was not compatible with my vehicle. After contacting customer service, the communication was very slow, with each reply taking several days to nearly a week. I felt that the issue was not handled efficiently.
Although a return was accepted, the return shipping cost was very expensive, a discounted shipping solution was not provided in a practical way, and the return policy would have resulted in additional costs for me. In the end, returning the item was not economically reasonable.
What disappointed me most was not only the product issue, but also the lack of a straightforward and practical solution for an international customer.
I am not interested in reward points or incentives for positive reviews. I would have preferred clear communication, accountability, and a fair resolution to the problem.
I am sharing my genuine experience so that other customers can consider the potential costs and challenges of international returns and customer service before making a purchase.
I hope Black Hawk Japan will improve its communication and customer support for future customers.

Very disappointed with my experience with Black Hawk Japan.

I ordered a car part from their website based on the information provided in the product listing, which stated that it was compatible with my vehicle. After paying for the order, I was contacted and told that the shipping cost would be significantly higher than originally quoted, so I had to pay additional shipping fees before the item could be sent.

When the part arrived, it was the exact part I ordered, but after further research and discussions with Black Hawk Japan, it became clear that the part was not actually compatible with my vehicle as their website had stated. To their credit, they acknowledged the mistake and removed the incorrect fitment information from the listing.

I then requested to return the item and asked to be reimbursed for the shipping costs, since the incompatibility was caused by incorrect information on their website. Initially, they agreed to this.

However, after agreeing to the return and reimbursement, they stopped responding completely. I sent approximately six follow-up emails over several weeks and received no response whatsoever.

As a result, I am now out around $1,000 and left with a part that I cannot use.

Mistakes happen, and I would have been understanding if the company had honoured the return they agreed to. What I cannot accept is being ignored after they acknowledged the listing was incorrect. Based on my experience, customer service was good until there was a problem that required them to take responsibility.

I ordered Endless brake lines and pads to be delivered to Bali, Indonesia and their service was fantastic - very good communication and customer service through the entire process. The items were very well packed and also arrived in very good time too. I will definitely be using them again when I need more parts from Japan. Thanks guys!

Black Hawk Japan offers great prices on their products. When inquiring about availability about the item I was planning to purchase, their response took 7 days, but their follow-up replies were within a day.

While they provide notice that it takes 3-10 business days just to ship the item, it took 11 business days; I'm not sure if it would have taken longer if I hadn't asked for an update after 10 business days. I'm not sure what the background process is for shipping items at Black Hawk Japan, but based on my personal experience with shipping products internationally, I feel like it could have been shipped sooner. Nevertheless, the shipping from Japan to California, USA was relatively quick—it took only a few days.

There is an additional import fee when shipping to the USA that needs to be paid to the shipping courier on top of the order amount, but the total was still less than purchasing the same product locally.

Great communication, honest and respectable business. Will definitely be a return customer.

Great experience with them. Took about 3 weeks to get, which I expected from overseas. Packaged nicely, undamaged. Would purchase from again an recommended.
