They are the black sheep in a positive way. Once a while, I search for parts for my RX-8 and 2004 Acura. BHJ has parts that are considered JDM (Japanese Domestic Models), and their prices are usually very reasonable. I've used BHJ several times and each time I was happy. Check them out.

Ordered a performance part from Black Hawk Japan and it arrived with multiple issues — fitment problems and visible finish defects right out of the box. For a retailer selling premium JDM parts at premium prices, this level of quality control is simply unacceptable.
Making matters worse, their customer service was no help. When I reached out to get the issue resolved, I was met with an inadequate response that went nowhere. I was left with no choice but to file a chargeback through my credit card company just to get my money back — something no customer should ever have to deal with.
International retailers selling performance parts need to be held to a high standard. When a defective product ships across the world, the burden shouldn't fall on the buyer to fight for a refund. Black Hawk Japan failed at every step — product quality, communication, and resolution.
Save yourself the frustration, the shipping wait, and the headache of dealing with a dispute. There are better options out there for your JDM parts.

UPDATE — Response to Black Hawk Japan's Reply:

Their public response sounds reasonable, but it leaves out important details from our actual exchange.

When I first reported the defects with photos, they dismissed both issues outright — claiming the fitment was fine and that the visible weld imperfection was simply "how Beatrush makes these bars." No acknowledgment of a real problem, just a deflection.

They also initially directed me to their return policy and provided their warehouse address — with no mention of covering return shipping. It was only after I explicitly pushed back and stated I would not be paying international return shipping on a defective product that they provided a prepaid return label. That should have been offered from the start.

It doesn't mention is that their first instinct was to tell me nothing was wrong with the product at all.

Ordered many aftermarket parts , all of them was in best condition no damaged, delivered as fast as they could.

Wrong shipping courier was assigned. I chose japan ems and the package was sent with dhl. The result was to pay custom services. I emailed the shop requesting the reason of choosing another carier. Never received a reply.

The dixcel rotors arrived quickly in thier original packing (new). I highly recommend these rotors for brz gr86 owners. The performance is expectional

The genuine ball joint were exactly what I ordered. But the bleed screws were not correct and can’t be used. The taper is not correct to the originals and won’t seat right.
