Very poor ! My car was off the road for 3 weeks at the garage they use , now a lot of the bad experience could be more with the garage they sent the car to as after 3 weeks the car had the same problem and when I took it for an impartial opinion on what the problem was I was told that it looked as though the garage had put a bottle of cataclene in the car to bodge it . They will claim they are a warranty company and they paid for my car to be fixed , but the problem is they chose the garage to send it to and they were cowboys. So unfortunately they are tard with the same brush. Also when I was ringing up to find out what was happening no one knew ?

Terrible I have a broken clutch but until it literally is a scrap metal heap they won’t honour the fixing of my car.

Fantastic company, dealt with my claim promptly and efficiently

I bought my previous car,a Jaguar XFs, at Blackburns in Darlington,the fantastic warranty put right a turbo actuator and later a new battery, no questions asked, no fuss and no hassle.
More recently, Blackstar covered my Volvo Xc60 and did nothing but take my money. Zero stars would be more appropriate for these monkeys. I made the mistake of buying a battery first for fitting at time of its MOT thinking a diagnostic print off saying 'REPLACE' with current capacity at 45%, and a seperate VAT registered battery/ fitting charge receipt would suffice but how wrong I was. Petty of them I must say, very binary.

Constant lying and manipulation. Don’t help you with anything at all. Very disappointing service. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The woman who dealt with my warranty issue was amazing. She went above and beyond to help me. She was extremely knowledgable, kind and patient. I can’t recommend the service highly enough.

Smooth process with a good turn around time. Found the staff to be helpful when calling.

Terrible service. Horrific claims process with email address that doesn't work. Had claim for a week without hearing back. Terrible service.

I submitted the invoice for payment for the service carried out by the garage on 30/05/2023 and have been chasing ever since if the payment has been made. They alway advise that it has been passed to the accounts department but never make payment. I had to pay for repairs as the garage already knew this would happen and now I am out of pocket as they are simply ignoring my emails.

My Porsche got an advisory item needed to be replaced in the future.
I contacted black star warranties as they cover my car.
And smooth acceptance for my claim.
A bit of chasing for my request.
But overall they done very well

Bought a car from wearside autoparc, found out later it had numerous issues, head sales man didn't want to know so I was just backheeled to blackstar warranties to sort it out . Went to two garages one diagnosed the car as having an engine problem but they couldn't do it as they don't do that so it was sent to a garage 20 odd miles away . The car sat there for 3 weeks and it's even worse then before to the point I've bought a new one coz that one can't be trusted. Anyway I rang a few times for updates to find out what was happening, first I was told the car was fine . I told them it want fine as engine has a problem and brake discs are to small , at which point I was asked to take it back ? Which I couldn't do as I hadn't got it back ?? Rang back a few days later to be told "oh yes it has an injection fault, but the discs are ok " they were not they were 20mm to small . Rang back a few days later by which point the garage had had the car for 2 weeks to be told the car would be ready Friday or Saturday, so I ring Thursday to find out which day to pick it up to be told they have no record of that conversation and it's not ready . So another 5 days pass and I can have my car back on the Wednesday so by this point they'd had it for 3 weeks, all jobs not done but it's safe to drive. 5 days later Same problem, I work in a college so I got the motor vehicle lads to look at it and basically said nothing had been done to it except maybe a clean as the injectors were in a different order and oil all over so seals were either worn or left out. But they had changed the brake discs ! The garages they use are some of the worst backstreet operations I've seen , they even MOTd my car with an engine problem that would cause an emissions fault and brake discs that were to small ? The garage was station road garage east boldon so beware. I would say that the warranty is not worth the paper it's written on

I still have 6 months to run on my car warranty, because I am thinking about selling my car, I have been informed the warranty will be invalid therefore I have lost the equivalent of £400, half of what I paid for a 12 month gold warranty…a total waste of money! There is no meeting half way with this company, they have profited by being very misleading at the outset. I am a vulnerable, recently widowed lady and feel I have been taken advantage of…stay away from this company as I surely will be in the future! Dreadful customer service to add insult to injury! I would have been better just putting the £800 in my own bank instead of theirs, please AVOID this dreadful and unprofessional bunch unless you want to be ripped off!
N.B. The response from this company is unacceptable and totally untrue, I was NOT supplied with a warranty, I paid extra for this total waste of money so called extra…I did not request a refund so please check your facts! Why are your warranties, which are not worth the paper they are written on, not allowed to remain on the car for which it was originally purchased? Absolutely awful company that cannot even give a credible reply…a lesson has certainly been learned on (the lack of) company trustworthiness and you will not gain future customers by applying a hard sell, don’t care attitude.

Company refused to pay for my car to be repaired as had no choice but have it repaired before hand due to it being the only car I have and was unable to get to work I would steer clear of this company as the warranty ain’t worth the paper it’s written on

This is the first time I've taken out an extended warranty with a second hand car and will not be stupid enough to do it again.My car was checked by their garage after an issue I reported and a new starter motor was needed-the garage were really helpful and advised me that it was a mechanical fault.This joke of a company think they know more than the mechanic and surprise surprise have closed my claim.The money I paid for the warranty would have covered the cost of the part!Typical insurance company,quick to take your hard earned money but reluctant to part with theirs.Avoid this company as they're a waste of time.
